      I’m a North Carolinian too! I love Asheville area and love the mountains. But yeah, there can be 3-4 seasons! Definitely pack layers and change of clothes and bring layers and rain coats and oil/Frizz treatments if you come here! I too think it’s gorgeous hair! I’m trying to learn how to get my wavy hair to get the beach look (it either looks frizzy or I have to use heat...straightened or curled!). I’m trying the oil which Laura Anna instead of leave in conditioner right now. I’ve been told it’s the same thing as regular condition when used when used in small amounts. So I’m testing THAT hypothesis. I can’t use a curling iron/wand so I go old school (with curlers 🙄😳🤣). But I can curls it with a straightener 🤷‍♀️. She should wear it where it’s healthy. But also what is the most comfortable to her. AND *most importantly* what makes her feel beautiful and increases her self esteem. Sometimes doing your hair “”fancy” really makes you better! BUT, I agree. She has amazing hair and it is certainly very beautiful with curly/wavy hair!!! 🤩

    With all the love in my lil heart: Wear a damn mask!
    Practice care for others, your community, and our country by doing your part to stop the spread. For the majority of people it is painfully easy to do, costs you little, and can help so much.
    If you are anti mask take a second to check your sense of fear, entitlement, and empathy. Read a variety of scientific resources, especially those that aren't designed to keep you comfy in your predetermined beliefs. And for the love of God, don't bring racist remarks on Covid to my comments.
    If you have medical difficulty wearing a mask, but are still doing everything you can to follow CDC and WHO guidelines, you are a hero. Thank you for making the extra effort and for the strength you're showing. It's not fair that the pandemic is hitting you harder, I'm sorry you have to go through that.
    Love, your friendly neighborhood hairstylist.

      Honestly, some people just really struggle wearing a mask, it's not just fear based, lack of empathy, or entitlement. Many people legitimately have trouble breathing with a mask on, among other medical issues. I happen to be one of these people. I still do my best, but we shouldn't assume people who don't wear masks are any of the above. Thank you for the cute hair ideas for those that can wear a mask though. 💜

    I’m an EMT and we have to wear masks at all times the moment we leave the station whether we’re with a patient or not, and my ears are rubbed raw! Thank you ladies for this tutorial! Hopefully this will save my ears and make me feel cute in the process!

      @90sHONEY 4 года назад +5

      You could also wear a mask that's a tad too big, loop a rubber band through the ear loops and tie that at the nape of your neck. That way it doesn't sit on your ears either.

      I do half updo's and refresh the curls that are down with water, styling cream and a light leave in oil 😉 Or maybe a loose braid, a messy pony or bun. Hope this helps 👍🏼

    • @jilliancolvin6725
      @jilliancolvin6725 4 года назад +3

      Wash day I wear my waves loose, day 2 is 1/2 up with the face frame pieces sprayed with water to refresh. Day 3 is v rare as when work out its too grim not to wash after! When I do have day 3 I do 1/2 or fully up depending on how it's going.

    • @sdancer22
      @sdancer22 4 года назад +3

      Most times my hair goes...down day 1, half up day 2 and low bun day 3 if that helps! I always refresh with a spray bottle of water and some leave in on non wash days

    • @bibliophilecb
      @bibliophilecb 4 года назад +2

      Refreshing is honestly a game changer! Use a bit of water (you can use a spray bottle but honestly sometimes it’s more effective to just use your hands to smooth on water from the sink), a bit of conditioner, and maaaaybe a bit more styling product if you feel like you need it. Apply, scrunch, wait like 5 minutes for it to dry, and your curls look way better!

    These are the styles we need for this season's must-have accessory!
    Any tips for the style of mask where the fasteners loop all the way around behind the head, instead of hooking the ears? Particularly the ties that secure the top half of the mask have me contemplating where to position them, and which sections of hair go under or over them.

    • @JoneseyBanana
      @JoneseyBanana 4 года назад +6

      A bun on the back of your head is a great anchoring point! I tend to loop the bottom elastic over the top of my bun and the top elastic underneath it.

    • @indydouma1385
      @indydouma1385 4 года назад +2

      @@JoneseyBanana yess that's what I've been doing too! Just a quick little chignon and youre good to go! Also if you have ties around your head instead of elastics you can put all four of the ties together in one knot instead of two as long as you have a low bun or something the knot can rest on, or it will fall down to your neck. That has saved me some time and hassle when I was in a rush😊

    Those clips just came in the mail a week ago!!! Can't wait to try these styles! Just chopped my hair and went from sis's length(I didn't want to butcher the spelling) to kayley length! Love it! It is too hot in Indiana for all that hair.

    This was perfect timing! I’m nervously staying awake before an orientation for a new job tomorrow so this gave me some serious inspo

  • @lizhart81
    @lizhart81 4 года назад

    I took inspo from the side twist into 3 strand braid pig tails from the tiktok hacks video for work today. It worked a treat to keep my hair off my face and neck in the heat all day! I did one braid instead of two (just kept twisting each side to the back of my neck after incorporating all of the hair, then combined them and started to braid), and pinned the braid up in a chignon. For the first time in a loooong time I felt totally cute at work, and got a lot of compliments. I didn't tell anyone that it took me 3 minutes to do.
    I have really slippery, fine, thin hair that is desperate for a cut, and this held up all day in heat with just a single elastic, four pins and a bit of elnett. I have to take my mask on and off a lot through the day, but for anyone who has to wear one continuously, it would be totally possible to hook the mask loops over the twists before braiding, or do two separate braids and secure them together after your mask is on.

    Yesss I've been generally just wearing low double buns or a low chignon that I can put the elastics around, so I loooooveeeee a little change ❤️❤️❤️

    Since your tip of using clips to hold the mask in the last video, I've been using it and loving it. It really helps with my ears as I have to wear it the whole day. :D The clips also helps with the fit of the mask so much better~
