The craziest thing I have done as a result of social distancing...hmmmm... I did a maternity photoshoot for my sister-in-law and brother from waaaay far away. Does that count? We planned this months ago and this will be their last baby, so I had to make it special! Don’t worry - I work in the healthcare field so not only did I utilize my mask from work, but I also used my super far lens so we stayed at least 20 feet apart. 😉 the pics turned out fantastic, too!
Went to a birthday party earlier this year and someone asked how I got my hair in nice waves. She must have thought I used a flat iron or something when really all I did was let my hair dry in a dutch braid haha Didn't brush it or even check to see if it was good
Yes anna laura, introvert battery is overcharged and short circuiting, my mom literally drove 20 min to drop off cookies twice in last 2 weeks to get out of house lol been doing lots of dog walks lol my
I have started hanging out with my landlords and their toddler which I think is interesting because 2-year-olds are hilarious and so much fun to play with. Plus is keeps us all sane.

The most fun thing (at least it's interesting to me) has been getting back to sewing. I finished some half done projects and made a few cloth masks for friend/family. I'm grateful to be able to work from home, (I have declined to use the zoom video option a couple times) so it's good to have something completely different to do. My son had his 12th birthday party on Google hangouts. We decorated the house with Avengers stuff and had a trivia contest and watch him blow out his candle ( I swear I bought candles but couldn't find them so he ended up with a Yankee candle tea light wrapped in tinfoil)

Pro tip: Zoom has a "Touch up my appearance" feature in the video settings for those times when you haven't done (or don't care about doing because--let's be real--it's quarantine) your make-up.
Right, I was hoping this video would be about styles that are specifically flattering when you're filming yourself with a webcam or phone. My only tip is to wear a hat or bright lipstick to create a distraction. Subtle doesn't read well.
Move your camera up, so it is at least even with your eye-line and maybe even with the top of your head. Any time you have to look *down* at a camera, it's bad news.

Whatever you do, don't go and cut it with a regular pair of scissors, in a few days you honestly will be back where you started, but missing the length. So if you decide to cut it yourself (which I've been doing for about a year now and it is really not as scary as it seems) invest in some good hair scissors, and you'll never have to go to the hair salon tho get your ends trimmed again

I also have a circular face and really don't like how i look in video calls w/ my hair up for the headset... So not flattering... A couple weeks ago i was so bored at work i Dutch braided it back into two space buns! ^-^ I also have a mohawk (deathhawk? shaved sides? w/e) and it looked p cute when it was up like that! I was reading this video's title while re-doing a top knot with my vintage 90s scrunchie. 😂 It's not the most interesting, but I've started BWW (braiding while walking) I don't look in the mirror when braiding my hair anyways (it confuses me because I overthink what I'm doing), so I figured I might as well get some exercise, and I get bored.

My mom was dropping off homemade masks and I tagged along and I didn't set foot out of the vehicle but it was SO COOL!! Also I'm out of clear elastics and all my bobby pins disappeared and it's painful how many good hair days I've been having when nobody's going to see it...
ccap3211 What! In Australia you can’t go out and drive unless it’s for food shopping or healthcare. My sister is a Learner driver and your not even allowed to drive for the sake of going for a drive. It’s MAD!
Whovian Girl I mean restaurants are still open for deliveries, drive thru's, and to go orders. And grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, mechanic shops, dentists, vets, cell phone shops, gas stations, gun stores, and even liquor stores are all still open. There are even a few people working at some local clothing boutiques that are delivering orders to people's houses or doing curbside orders. I'm sure there are even more places I'm forgetting! They encourage everyone to stay home and you can get a citation if you're in a group with more than 10 people in public but we can still drive around all we want. It's not a risk to anyone as long as you stay in your car. Besides, is anyone going to know if you're driving to go to the grocery store or just going on a drive for the hell of it? If you get pulled over for any reason you can just say you're going to get food. Surely they can't do anything when you say that. And you're obviously allowed to walk around outside right? Lots of people are going on walks and runs in my neighborhood. We still have a few Starbucks open here, the ones that are just kiosks inside grocery stores. And local coffee shops are open for to go orders of course. And I'm still going to work everyday so things aren't that bad! I already did the majority of my shopping online and didn't eat out much before all this and I live with my significant other and I work with most of my friends so things are fairly normal in my life still.

Ive been bellydancing for 7 years, and because of social distancing so many of my dancers I know are offering classes online. Many of them are too far away to dance with normally, so its really exciting for me to learn from them and get my jiggle on!

I'm in high school and on dance team. Dance season is done, but starts up again in June, so I'm trying to maintain the fitness required. I've been doing all my schoolwork at home, and attempting to come up with my own workouts since I now don't have gym class. Life is interesting and yet oh so boring.😁
In march I got my hair dyed dark brown with red highlights which I kept for 4 months looking pretty decent. In June when restrictions were lessened, I went from a bob to a pixie cut, it has made the second lock down in Melbourne more bearable.

My fiance and I made wax seals for our wedding invites. I also work in bridal and my store is obviously closed but we started doing virtual meetings with our brides to get to know them better so that when we reopen, they feel like they know us. It's been so great for my mental health. Your hairstyles definitely are gonna help me step up my game with my brides!
I have fine but full hair like yours that I’ve kept waist length for at least the past 10 years! Every few years, I go through a phase where I want to CHOP it because it’s driving me nuts! Quarantine is definitely taking me there ... do you regret chopping your long hair?

The craziest thing I've done during lockdown is breaking in to my garage. Learning how to do it took 10 mins. Actually doing it took 4. Amazed and terrified me, but now I know how to, should the occasion arise... 😅
This brought me so much joy today ❤ I've ended up making friends with the postman (packages being too big for letter box VS weird laws = a conversation out the window with postie) he's a lovely chap and overworked and not getting claps out the window (weird UK thing) and low-key pissed off about it Also ended up baking loads and I forgot to halve a recipe yesterday so my upstairs and downstairs neighbours are getting mini Bakewell tarts today!

If I ever had a zoom call, I could not do my hair in 5 minutes! Getting my long naturally thick curly hair into a high ponytail along took way longer than 5 minutes!

I also work in bridal and my store is obviously closed but we started doing virtual meetings with our brides to get to know them better so that when we reopen, they feel like they know us.
It's been so great for my mental health.

I have fine but full hair like yours that I’ve kept waist length for at least the past 10 years! Every few years, I go through a phase where I want to CHOP it because it’s driving me nuts! Quarantine is definitely taking me there ... do you regret chopping your long hair?

LOVE your classic tutorial type videos. The most interesting thing I’ve done is have myself a nice trim into a lob, I’ve been self coloring and trimming my bangs forever but this is he first time I’ve done a complete haircut!

I've ended up making friends with the postman (packages being too big for letter box VS weird laws = a conversation out the window with postie) he's a lovely chap and overworked and not getting claps out the window (weird UK thing) and low-key pissed off about it
Also ended up baking loads and I forgot to halve a recipe yesterday so my upstairs and downstairs neighbours are getting mini Bakewell tarts today!

The craziest thing I have done in quarantine is download TIKTOK like most of the over 40 mamas stuck at home has. My new favorite pastime is sending goofy tiktoks to my oldest daughter that just turned 18. I feel like the app has really let me up my Mom game because I usually annoy her by sending random memes. Videos are MUCH better. 😂
Ideas for hairstyles with a headset on? I have a lot of video meetings, but also five kids in the house, so my noise cancelling headset is a MUST!
