Jen is not lying when she says she didn’t care about numbers of ppl she’d work with or help out. I remember I ordered from Gerard and they forgot a lipgloss so I DMed her. She wrote back and seen my IG and that I was into makeup and would post makeup. and not only sent me the one they missed she sent me their whole line and she followed my IG and supported me. ( btw I only had 3,000 followers) she’s so kind. It’s sad to see people like Jaclyn take advantage of these sweet women owned businesses who are all girls girls.
It's so sad and ironic that a lot of people defended Jaclyn in the koze situation because she "didn't have a trademark" but Gaby DID have one and STILL got screwed over by Jaclyn. So messed up

I hope EVERYONE who I see saying "BuT sHe dIdN't TrAdEmArK iT" sees this video and it is drilled into their skulls that trademarking is not only incredibly difficult and expensive, but also does NOT give you any sort of automatic protection! It just gives you the upper hand in litigation, and if you can barely afford the trademark process then you surely can't afford the subsequent legal fees. Also Gaby's story shed light on to why Kaylen changed her name - it wasn't for legal reasons (we now see Jaclyn never even got the TM for Koze granted), it was because of SEO. A bigger creator using the same name automatically pushes you down in the search results and destroys your brand recognition. Even with Gaby doing "everything right", this still made a huge impact on her business. Jaclyn obviously knows this and still carried on happily, even gleefully, while sh*tting on other creators. She is vile.

We should all collectively support these brands that Jaclyn ruined! These brands are all QUALITY products and shame on her for what she did and is continuing to do.

@@JulieNick28I just want to say, everyone reading this, guys don't feel pressured to spend money to "support" anyone. I get they are people behind business but it's still a business. They have a marketing, they have everything. Not everyone is lucky enough to have money for spending and financially sometimes its better to save money if you need or spend on necessities and that's fine. Buy product because you like it and can stand behind supporting the brand.
@@bonjourista agree 100%. I only bought what I could afford and that was the mini version. I trust Marlena’s opinion and am looking forward to trying it. I needed a new foundation brush anyway ❤️
It honestly makes me sick to think I ever supported Jaclyn. I work the back end of influencer marketing so I’m not oblivious to the business side of things. It’s so disheartening to hear how she speaks about her fans.
That's the lottery ticket of liking being a Fan of anyone or thing. Just enjoy as long as you can, there is a reason am happy many of my Artist haven't shared their opinions on certain things yet, for better or worse, I am 90% convinced at least 90% of westernized, americanized, europeanized, modernized people would be and will be hurt if they will hear those for the first time in their lifes and I am not excluding tis lil body of mine.
Jacklyn has built up A LOT of bad karma.
That’s because you can’t bite the hand that feed you, and she did with people all the time she’s so rude, and she has no feelings for anybody. She’s had a heart of stone.

Also when I was still under my actual name, Mariah, before I was under Petty Crocker. I was never an influencer. I was more of a watcher with a makeup obsession. & you still were so nice to me. I’ve came across a lot of business owners who only cared to interact with influencers & people in general that have a large following. You never cared & interacted with all of us no matter how big or small. & some convos didn’t even involve makeup. Some were just random convos. Like I had one with you about noisy neighbors.😂 I appreciated that so much. It made me respect you & your brand even more! You are a lot more humble. You didn’t let it all go to your head & get on a power trip.

I worked with Jaclyn at Woodfield mall and why was she lying about loving Ulta and she was on food stamps? It’s called the link card. I was broke with 2 kids and I couldn’t get a damn link card. How the F did she get approved? I call BS. Doesn’t matter. She’s one of those people who lie about everything for no reason. She was so rude to me when I joined Mac. I need my job and knew she would lie on me to get me fired in a heartbeat. I continued to turn a blind eye to her eye rolls and whispering behind my back. She was able to hide her true colors for a long time. Glad to see women coming together the support each other! She’s always been super fake and all around shady AF.

Not only was this a platform to share her story, but very informative for emergencies. I would’ve never thought to have emergency leashes (always figured the dogs would be right next to us), but now I’ve packed an emergency bag and have emergency leashes next to me

My house burned down in 2014 & unfortunately lost 1 of my dogs in the fire & I got a lil burned saving my other dog. She was so scared she didn't want to come out from under the bed & I was struggling to get her. Almost had to leave her behind but lucky I still have her
Yes! We have two cats and my fiancé and I already discussed exactly who goes to get which cat god forbid something happens but now we will be keeping our carriers upstairs near us instead of the basement. We have leashes in a closet in between the living room and bedroom where they are at 95% of the time, but with cats it’s honestly easier to just grab them, shove them into the carrier and run. Thank you Jen, I’m sorry to hear about the fire and Nick’s cats 💔

I remember not purchasing from Gerard Cosmetics because of this. 😢 Jaclyn had me TOTALLY fooled until lipstickgate. Poor Jen! She is so sweet. I would be honored to be her friend. Can I just say for one, I LOVE that brand owners are NOW holding her accountable. I wish more people had spoken up before now because I feel like a dumbass for supporting her as long as i did. I stopped supporting her right around her first pallet collab with morphe came out.I think the pallette that leaked on the cake was the last thing i purchased in relation to her. Sad to see what makeup has come to now.

She can’t close jaclyn cosmetics because she never owned it and now the world knows about it (except for her delusional fans). Thank you for using your platform to shed light on this situation. I am a publicist as well as a certified makeup artist. My mind is boggled by how Jaclyn has treated women in the industry and how she's manipulated her subscribers. Not even just from a PR perspective but a human perspective. She really seems like she's not a nice person and I am glad people are finally starting to see that. So glad beautiful Jen Gerard shared her truth and I need to order some of those glosses!!
Jen Gerard and Marlena Stell have shown such amazing grace and class throughout all of this. To me it really shows how much integrity they have.
I will always support that when I am choosing where to spend my money. I am really looking forward to seeing Marlena's new ventures and supporting Gerard cosmetics, (I'm already window shopping online) and I hope their sales go through the roof!!

I can’t believe anyone is financially still backing JH. What a risk? I wouldn’t if I was investing. In less than a year, she steals a brand name and then immediately drives it into the ground. Why would anyone give her money? Insane.

Isn’t it interesting how fame and money will make someone’s true personality come out? Jaclyn loves to talk about how she used to be broke but that obviously didn’t make any kind of real impact on her cuz the second she got some notoriety, she let her nastiness lead her. The only thing keeping her going is her audience who have no morals just like her and likely treat others the same way she does. Vibration matches vibration.
The only followers who defend her anymore are probably ones she buys. More people are starting to call her crap out and she is losing engagement big time. I don’t think she will last much longer

Of course there are those that are still in denial about what is going on and acting like she can do no wrong but I think a lot of people are over the nonsense. I just watched the video where Jen and Gaby spoke out and am in the process of throwing all my Jaclyn products out. Its one thing to make mistakes and another to trash other business owners like Jaclyn did. It was an eye opener to the kind of person Jaclyn is and actual messages and emails are read out so people can’t defend her on that. Just horrible situation and I can’t fathom how Jaclyn can sleep at night knowing the things she has done and continues to do to people. Sorry for the long reply lol

I worked at the Morphe warehouse in Rialto CA with the 3PL Radial who shipped for Morphe and I can confirm that those packages never left the warehouse despite the drama and all of Jaclyn Hill lipsticks were still in the warehouse I think two years after lipstick gate

I met Jaclyn in Miami a few months after the morphe pallet came out when I was out to eat. I wasn’t the hugest fan of her but something about that morphe pallet hooked me so I had bought it during launch. Funny enough I was actually wearing the pallet when I met her, had a nice Smokey eye cut crease with a nice sharp wing. She had caught me off guard saying “your eyes look amazing” while we were both entering the restaurant and I informed her that it was her pallet and said thank you. Well when I went into the bathroom mid-dinner, she was in one the the stalls and I’m assuming one of her friends was in the other so I was waiting patiently, just messing around on my phone. I overheard them talking and Jaclyn said “I can’t stand running into subs in public, specially the ones who think they can do my pallet justice. Did you see that girls jacked up face.” And they just laughed and kept talking shit. When she exited the stall, she smiled and acted as if I didn’t hear her. That’s when I lost all respect for her as a “creator” and vowed to never buy anything with her name attached. That was the only pallet I took on vacation and I was so upset by her words, I didn’t even do my makeup the rest of the week. When everything started to blow up about her, I wasn’t even surprised. Just sad that she has done all these women and their businesses wrong. She will never apologize, that’s not in her character to do so. She’s just going to smile and continue to ignore it, just like she did to me in the bathroom.

@@makeupby_montselezamaabsolutely agree, she’s an awful human and I’m a firm believer of what goes around comes around. She’s getting the karma she has deserved for almost a decade. I couldn’t throw it away because I had a hard time pitching something I only used 4-5 times although I really wanted to. I actually did FX make up as a hobby at that time and to make a little extra cash around Halloween. I literally put that pallet in the kit with that makeup because the matte colors worked great for bruises and matching skin tones for latex wounds just so I could get my moneys worth.

We need to backtrack to this because Jen is a foul women who is refusing to take pictures of someone’s deceased family member off of her business page and is still using her images to promote her brand even when the family has asked her several times to remove these photos and she has told them she doesn’t have to. She wants people to empathize with her for the wrong that’s been done to her but she won’t empathize with a family who is grieving. It’s disgusting.

@@Hillcountry_Catholic I’m not sure what you are referring to regarding Kendall but I don’t think that is a very fair comment to make in this situation because this interview and video was made before any of this stuff about Jen was brought to life however I do think they need to revisit the fact that they have helped platform and endorse her and her brand.

I didn't know Jon named Rose Hill. At the time I wanted it but couldn't afford it. I stopped supporting Jaclyn about 7 years ago. I want to buy Rose Hill now to support Jen and also to honor Jon for naming it. I hope everyone affected by her can overcome in their own way that brings them happiness

As a Latina who knows how fucking HARD my people work to make it in this country, it INFURIATES me how Jaclyn and Morphe stepped all over Gaby. Karma is so real and they deserve their downfall. They really thought they could get away with stepping all over anyone in their way to make their way to the top and just like that they’re now both irrelevant. And thanks to these brave women finally speaking up, their brands will finally get the recognition they deserved all along. Unfortunately, while we should’ve been supporting them we were all being consumed by Jaclyn and Morphe. It is so sad to realize everything that was really going on during that time.

I didn’t know Gabby’s story till now and man, I feel for her. A person of color thriving, doing things right legally and lawfully, getting stomped on by Jaclyn and Morphe is heartbreaking. “Continue suing us” is legit so arrogant. I’m happy that she’s already speaking up. I hope her business thrives… and for Gen and Gerard cosmetic, as well.

Love to see women supporting women and lifting each other up! I’m shocked at how many women Jaclyn has stepped on and ruined their businesses! Imagine having so much audacity! All that, and she claims to be a girl’s girl, a boss b*tch, etc. It’s such a shame that Jaclyn is such an awful person. She’s a very talented person and she does have great taste in makeup, appliances, kitchen gadgets, etc.
Gerard cosmetics was my all time fave 😭❤️ when her lipstick bullets came out I remember stocking up and getting some for my mom and I was showing them to her like “these are LUXURY lipsticks and you can tell” because the gold tube was so beautiful and had a little weight to it, I loved it. Also loved the peach setting mist 🥰 what an icon. I’m glad she was able to come on and talk about her story, it takes a lot of strength and she’s incredible. Also just a huge sweetheart.

He’s a snake just like JH is, and I don’t think enough ppl r realizing who posted the Snapchat. Jen Gerard doesn’t seem to think Manny did it on purpose, but after seeing all the rest of his problematic behavior over the years, I do!

Yep, for a while I really thought he has changed but he continues to support and shout out Jaclyn. I was so disappointed cause I know Manny has potential to be a very nice decent human being.

I think who MannyMUA tries to pretend he is (decent human being) is not who he really is behind the scenes. There’s WAY too much problematic shady crap in his present and past.
I just dropped out of college to go home to community college in my first week and I’ve been so stressed and having panic attacks. I felt so guilty about giving up some of my scholarships that I’ve gotten. My mental health just got worse and worse. I cried every day that I was here and listening to old podcasts from the sesh and mile higher just calmed me down and helped me to actually unpack and pack up again. I withdrew today and exactly an hour before I went to sign my paperwork, the power plant caught fire and the cooling systems and hot water went down campus wide. I don’t have air conditioning in my dorm anyways so it didn’t affect me but I’m taking it as a sign. Thanks for providing some comfort to all of us who are struggling.
Sorry that you're going through so many stressful things right now. If it's any consolation, I almost failed out of the most important class for my major & I was beyond stressed in those moments. I'm in my 30's now, & that's a tiny blip in the past that I don't even think of anymore. All that to say, you're doing the right thing by prioritizing yourself. There is absolutely no shame in making choices for the betterment of your mental health, and I think you probably made the right one. This was a few years back, but I dropped out of my first university a month into my second semester there and came back home to attend community college because of how badly i was doing mentally, so I completely relate. Sometimes certain schools or programs just aren’t the right fit for a person, and there’s no use in staying miserable. I wish you nothing but the best and hope you will find comfort being back at home 💜

I knew there was something I didn’t like about Jaclyn. Through her videos I felt like I was watching a mean girl trying to be my friend and sell me advice that would ultimately doom me….and even then I still bought her brushes because I needed new brushes, got caught up in the morphs hype, and not knowing about Gaby. I hate that I gave her my money and supported her. This is why I loved this video, it’s a real eye opener because as a consumer I want to support people that have morals, give back to their community, and are passionate about what they do. I’ve always supported Marlena, but Jen and Gaby have a new supporting costumer! Thank you, the sesh, for doing this
I think what you are doing bringing these women on to share their story is VERY important. Big companies really do a lot of harm and people need to know. Even as a past employee of a large corporation we are treated unfairly in so many ways. I gave 14 years in IT to a company (more than 40 hours a week) to be dropped like I meant nothing because the bottom line is $$$ and how they look to the stock market. I think it’s time the underdogs stand up.

Does anyone remember back in 2018, when Here for the Tea and Tea Spill collaborated to release some info about Jaclyn Hill and the first video released, that’s how we all found out about how she did Marlena. But they never released the rest of the series because someone threatened them? Someone should find out what happened. 😂
I do remember! The story at the time was Jeffree Star called them both and told them to stop because Jacklyn was in a “dark place.” I’m not sure how true that is but that was what we gathered. I’m not sure how true it is, but it tracks a little because…for someone who is all about the bottom line, she refuses to turn on Jeffree probably because she owes him. That’s just my personal conspiracy, I have no proof of this.

Thank you Jen & Gaby for speaking out about all of this. Unfortunately I have tried to give Jaclyn the benefit of the doubt for a long time BUT I am officially unfollowing her. I hope others will unfollow her as well. I am opening my own business and I cannot imagine going through even a little of what these women have gone through because of Jaclyn. The proof is here we all need to stop making excuses for her, there’s no more doubts.
