What worries me is Julie mn was apparently BFFs with Josh. Also Jenna was friends with Colleen for a while. So hope they aren't involved at all.
But Josh spoke out about how he was treated during their marriage. I truly think they were better friends with Josh than they were with Colleen. I don’t think they will get any hate regardless as well as I don’t think Jenna will ever return… unfortunately. She is living her best life, married, pouring her love into all the doggos and plants. I just really miss her videos, always made me smile and brightened my weeks. When I get down, I return to her channel for a pick me up and a good laugh. ♥️

i grew up loving miranda sings. my sister and I would always impersonate her. I was a nanny a few years ago for an 8 year old where she was only allowed to watch kids netflix. miranda sings was on there and i played it thinking it could be entertaining for us both. until they constantly referenced ‘porn’ and inappropriate things, the little girl asked me what it all meant.. i was absolutely stuck and disturbed and came to realization how bizarre all of that was. she gave me really bad vibes ever since then. this is all so disturbing.
When you are that age, it's hard to understand what is meant for your age or not. You seeing a significantly younger child reacting to it probably gave perspective. There are many things I don't consider appropriate at ALL with Colleen's shows, like when she made young fans search for snacks in her pants. However, I'd never want my 14-year-old to be confronted with p*rn jokes. Kids lose their innocence so rapidly these days, somebody who calls themselves PG 13 and is a parent should know better.
As a nanny myself...i couldnt even imagine putting on something that i also watched as a kid.... to realize it was totally inaapropriate! My worst nightmare. Cant believe nobody at netflix stopped this or changed the rating.
Colleen's ukelele response was sickening and beyond inappropriate. No accountability at all.
My heart goes out to Adam, Becky, Oliver, and others affected by Colleen Ballinger's actions. I can't even imagine.
Honestly, Trisha got the worst of it. You can't get any lower than what she did to her.

I am not a fan of Colleen/Miranda but I grew up on RUclips and remember the uncle being mentioned. It was always sooooooo weird to me. I don’t remember how he was portrayed in the show but in her videos he was portrayed in a very pedo way

Does no one remember “the virgin Miranda”? She created this whole storyline on RUclips when she became pregnant with her son and correct me if I’m wrong, but I feel like it was at least implied that her uncle had something to do w it. After he was born she called him “the cannibal baby” because he just wanted to eat her breast milk.
She’s so fricking weird, dude. I never let my girls watch her and actually had to give them age appropriate context for why. They were equally disgusted when I explained to them what she was trying to imply. Never had to ask them not to watch her again.
When all this came out my oldest daughter who is now almost 20 called me and was like OMG MOM YOU KNEW IT!!!
I literally never understood how people, parents in particular thought this was funny at all.

The fact that no criminal charges are being filed against the Astroworld tragedy is ridiculous. Im glad to hear that they are at least having civil charges brought. I hope that some of those pan out. This was such a horrifying event that could have been prevented.

What I don’t understand is how no adults (either around her or her adult viewers online) seemed to notice or call out Colleens behaviour? Lots of her behaviour was documented on video and posted BY HER. Why are adults only speaking out now?
The other thing is, why did adults brush off Adams video when he put it out in 2020 and CONTINUED SUPPORTING HER? I understand he has more proof now but he had ENOUGH PROOF back then too! I’m so sick of adults not believing children and continuing to support and defend the abusive adult in the situation.

There was a man that was on Twitter that did a thread about how inappropriate the Miranda Sings show was. He talked about all the kids and the inappropriate material. I wish that had went viral back then!
INabber literally said the same thing in his video about the Adam stuff. I totally agree with him and this statement. I saw this apology in 2020 and never once thought she was genuine and even if these things were “out of context” it’s still effed to send lewd stuff to a minor????
From what I remember people believed Adam at first. I remember seeing videos talking about it. Then Colleen released a video, ironically better than her recent one, and that’s when people stopped believing in Adam.
Personally I only seen a few of her videos. Most of them when she’s pregnant so, I wouldn’t have noticed anything.
Since Miranda Sings was created it always made me feel uncomfortable.
I think her response is more geared towards her young fans, who don't understand the severity of the situation, rather than the victims or the rest of the internet. If she is trying to "survive" this cancellation, it makes sense for her to focus on the fans who'll stick around until it blows over. It's just a blatant attempt to save her career.
I thought the same thing! She needs to save her business and uses the fact her fan base is composed by many impressionable teens, who don't understand dynamics that comes with age yet. Many fans probably think it's a question about loyalty, when she just needs to keep selling tickets for her tours and keep her views steady.

Sexual innuendo; in one scene, Uncle Jim squirts icing on Miranda's cinnamon rolls and she mentions him shooting cream out of his package onto her buns. "It's okay, I like 'em extra sticky," she says. Her mom says people could get the wrong idea, they move on.
That should NOT be in a children’s show. My daughter is 11 and would be uncomfortable hearing that even if she didn’t fully understand.
my dad wouldn’t have even let me watch that when i was 14! that’s disgusting!!! she definitely used the “13+” because that’s when most people have their first health class/go through puberty but she was introducing 18+ concepts.
also, it’s very surprising that she’s a mother. it’s disgusting from anyone to do these things but especially a mother, i’m not a mother myself but i would not be okay with my nieces and nephews watching her & i know my sister wouldn’t be okay with it as well.
I used to be a fan of Colleen's vlogs. I felt like she was always worried about others and wanted to support and not offend anyone. It was shocking to hear the accusations, and then her response only proved how little she cares about others. I really hope she can learn from this, but it seems like she's always been awful and all kinds of prejudice.
She's fake that's why. But even in her vlogs she manipulates people. She's constantly fishing for compliments by saying disparaging things about herself. Even when she messed up and didn't secure her chicken cage and an animal killed two birds, she comes on and cries for sympathy for HER! She's constantly talking about her bangs or hair too, fishing for compliments. She's very manipulative in her vlogs.
I watched the vlogs too and I never understood why she was so worried about offending people. The yt comments always seemed supportive. Now I'm guessing it's because she was constantly online looking at reddit or wherever, intentionally looking for the negative comments and drama. Probably obsessed with the negative attention and the sympathy
She is like this now because she was bad in the past she always mentions that she is not perfect and she said stupid things in the past and is trying to be a better person from then on. So what is going to happen in the future? This will be resurfacing again and again even though that was many years ago it was addressed and she is not that person anymore.... what people want? For her to take her life? Why Adams parents didn't do or say anything then? They are the one that supposed to protect him? Or the othe kids, why their parents didn't do or say something then? Why now?. I don't know, but I always can sense who it's a victim but this time is different.......the fact that he is keep making videos that are hmmmmmm to me instead of going to police!!! This is like " she made some money because of me and I didn't get any so now I will do this". If he was paid he would do all this..... this is just my opinion. How do we know some of this things are not fake???? Just to push her down even more? This looks like Jealousy from him because she is talented after all and still keep going. So yes you do some stupid things in the past and that would be readdress again and again because why? The parent's should supervise and Guide their children. Whatever she is saying it's twisted and interpreted how is wanted not what she actually meaning. I can see that she is more punished then the people that R worded , Physically violence etc. Like she's equal to Ted Bundy and obviously she is not anywhere near.

After hearing what Trisha and others are also bringing up about Colleen; she could actually be criminally charged in California and by the feds for the illicit photos and videos that she sent to minors (she took them off of Trisha’s adult website that is behind a paywall and is strictly for adults). At this point, my heart goes out to everyone that has had traumatic interactions and relationships with her. I am sending strength, prayers, and positive vibes to everyone that is on their healing journey from their interactions/relationships with Colleen. 💞
I lowkey hope she does get charged. She needs to learn that her actions have consequences and that what she did was SERIOUSLY not okay

I’m from Washington, and it’s actually super diverse in most cities, lots of POC… knowing she’s a racist and a groomer is just sickening. We definitely don’t claim her!!
As a fellow Washingtonian it is very diverse, I greatly enjoy Uwajimaya and the various Asian markets in Seattle.
I'm from the UK, never been to Washington but from what I've seen just from media/tv/film etc. I've always thought of Washington as having a culturally diverse population

i live where it was filmed. POC are the majority here too. So the fact she had to go and avoid casting POC is crazy.
Kendalls anxiety about Self check out and drive throughs is so relatable. There are days I just won't get things I need just because of that anxiety.

My neighbor and her sister were throwing a baking party, they went to Walmart and bought $300 worth of supplies at the self check-out but it didn't scan two items that were a dollar each and they both got arrested and had to do community service. I will never use self-checkout ever again I hardly even want to go into the store I'd rather pay a couple extra dollars for delivery
Anyone have any advice on how to manage this???! 😫 I feel like I have tried everything and the anxiety always wins…
@@grooovymak I manage by using delivery or I'll pay a friend to do the shopping for me and if I absolutely have to go in the store I go as soon as they open so there's not many people and you don't have to feel rushed or like people are watching you

Agreed! And regardless of what they rated it, I was her content. Her character, acting, writing, creative input, etc. It wouldn't exist without her. Netflix's hands are not clean here either, but like you said, she should have never created this type of content and made it in a way that would attract a juvenile audience.

I once paid for a meet and greet with Colleen/Miranda signs but her crew didn’t send the info for it to a lot of people so we missed the time slot. I’m actually very grateful now that I didn’t meet her

My daughter became a fan of Miranda from watching it on Netflix. My daughter has her own Netflix with parental controls on. She had already watched both seasons multiple times before I sat down and watched it. I would see her watching it and it just looked like Miranda was a awkward weird person. I didn’t catch the weirdness with the uncle until I watched it in it’s entirety. I guess I put too much trust in Netflix’s ratings.
The mother “faking” illness was too much for me. I hope it gets removed

I remember taking a college psychology class in high school and we would put on weird pop culture videos and try to dissect the psychology behind them for fun. Just come up with theories and what makes people’s brains come up with this stuff. Think: Salad Fingers and Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared.
I remember one girl putting on Miranda, and my psychology teacher literally saying “I don’t think there’s much though that goes into whatever that was, but I really hope that girl gets the mental help she needs.”

Adam spoke of this 3 years ago and Colleen told her fanbase to destroy Adam’s credibility anyway they could. He has even said if Colleen apologizes publicly to him, his parents and everyone else she’s affected then he would stop talking about it. She has not done that because she’s a disgusting person.
She could face prison time in California and federally for sending Trisha’s nude photos and videos to Adam and other minors. What she did to children is excusable; regardless of what kind of parenting they received growing up… they were still minors.
I think Colleen released her 'apology' song hoping it was so ridiculous, that people and news articles would talk more about the video instead of what she's being accused of.
I know this a very VERY minor part of this podcast to focus on…..but a quick tip for the moms of toddlers who think “no” is funny, cause been there, still am there-try saying what you want them to do instead! so when my toddler throws food, I try to say “our food is for eating, not throwing. let’s keep our food on our plate!” doesn’t always work, but can help with the confusion over the word “no.” just some advice that I was given & thought i’d pass along! ❤
I asked my boys if the watch Miranda Sings ever my oldest said he stopped because she was a weird pervert. I always talked to my kids about adults saying or doing inappropriate things. I was SA as a child so I've always been super open with my boys about what's appropriate for adults and children. I started these talks at a very young age. I think a lot of parents don't prepare their kids enough because it's hard to determine when the right age is.
Washington is in no way “only white people”, I got so annoyed when she said that. As a Washingtonion, we def don’t claim her.

I've seen ALOT of people looking at her books targeting children and it just gets worse. I think a lot of parents just didn't pay attention or care to what their kids digest (which I personally feel a good number of parents do, they don't want to take the time to personally comb what their kids watch, but get upset when *surprise* their kids watch something bad and blame everyone else)
They assume that if it's in the kids section it should be safe. It should be i have no idea how miranda is in the kid section
Nowadays, there seem to be a plethora of inappropriate books even in the libraries at schools. Many parents have been coming fwd about it.
Haters Back Off is set in Tacoma, WA. I lived there & not only is it extremely diverse, many immigrants live and work in Tacoma. I literally can't understand why she would want to whiteawash a city that has a history of redlining and overt gentrification. oh wait.....

I totally relate to being anxious at places like the self-checkout and drive-thru, and with having your partner make phone calls 😂 my partner and I actually have a post-it note on the fridge with our names on it that we flip when it's the other one's turn to make a phone call for something lmao
We also started to use apps to pre-order our fast food so we don't have to talk much at the drive-thru, I admit its made life feel easier 😆
So ill be 34 this month, and im disabled and neurodivergent, and i watched maybe 1 episode of her netflix show. I remember feeling like i was being made fun of, and then when she started talking about her uncle i noped out so fast. Im still so confused about how the hell she even got famous.

You guys literally were saying my exact thoughts. I have watched her for so many years but started really watching during the pandemic when she was vlogging everyday. I’ve just been thinking about how she tried so hard to say everything right to prevent cancellation & she was SO careful when talking about many different things. She also talked about body positivity & thinking people of all sizes are beautiful. Looking back at all of that now just shows how fake she was. I also don’t think a genuinely good person has to try that hard.

I never heard of Miranda Sings until I came across Haters Back Off on Netflix. It kept coming up on my recommendations, so my partner and I watched it all. I can say-unequivocally-that "The Daddy Saddle" is not only mentioned on the show, it is also shown several times, and even a family photo with Miranda on Uncle Jim's back in the saddle is featured on one episode. So, yes, the daddy saddle is not only shown on the Netflix show, but it's featured in many, many episodes on both seasons. The icky, incestuous behavior started on the first episode, when they're eating sticky buns, and Uncle Jim gets "cream" on her "buns", but that's ok, because she likes them "extra sticky".
BTW, I fully believe Netflix purposely leaves controversial material up because people will go there to watch it after hearing about it. Like, it took two years for them to remove the wrist slitting part from "13 Reasons", and "Cuties", which is a pedo's wet dream, is still on there.

My daughter became a fan on Colleen because of Hater's Back Off. She loved that Patrick and Miranda were married in real life. So it made her want to watch her vlogs. My daughter is 9 years old and she begged me to take her to one of Miranda's live shows. I took her last year, and during the show Miranda had some pretty adult jokes and I was so happy it went right over my daughters head. I remember leaving the concert feeling uncomfortable with the character. My daughter doesn't watch any Miranda RUclips videos (she thinks they are weird because Miranda's family isn't there), but COLLEEN had Eric on her vlogs, so my daughter used to watch those videos. I didn't mind because Colleen came off very sweet and innocent. I thought she was a good person. I feel so fooled for thinking she was a good person. I told my daughter that we can't watch her anymore because she isn't the person we thought she was. My little girl is disappointed too.

No, my kids are older, and they were JUST able to watch her Netflix show just last year (15 year old). Just growing up with RUclips myself and watching Miranda/Colleen myself long ago, I knew as a parent my kids/step kids would not be watching her. She is adult content and I stuck by that like I said just until last year. My kids are not allowed online and I taught them extensively over the years about tv being fake and how to process adult content. When she watched it she came to me saying her content was inappropriate and ‘weird’ was her word choices. She also didn’t like the fibro content portrayed by the mom character. I have never watched Haters. For perspective I am 36 and I started watching RUclips in 2010. Like the origins Wild Wild West days. I was 23. You know what shocks me, parents were TAKING their kids to her shows!! I never knew that part 😬

I had watched 'mommy day in the life' types vlogs from all kinds of people throughout my pregnancy bc it's my first and that's when I found colleen again...I had seen haters back off when it first came out and thought, ok it's not that funny but whatever, and it was the constant creepy pedo uncle 'character' that made me stop after a few episodes. The fact that she plays that type of character in her current stage show is beyond horrifying. What else is beyond horrifying is how she insists and continues to do her hair and makeup just perfect while in active premature twin labor, while her doctor and husband are practically begging her to go into the hospital... But you know, she doesn't, and the labor goes so much worse than it probably would have, with her husband just being traumatized by witnessing his wife and twins almost die pretty much... Only to make a 'let me complain' vlog about how she was annoyed that the NICU nurses had to tell her it would be better for your babies if you visited and spent more time with them, I think they were in the NICU somewhere like 2, maybe even 3-4 months. She then goes onto make a 'daddy blues' video where her husband shares his experience and trauma and how he has a type of post partum depression, which there is a term for it for the father's bc it does happen .... Well she laughs, mocks and makes of him saying how offensive he's being to actual moms bc only the mother's can experience that... He tries to better explain what he means bc he doesn't have the words, just the feelings he feels and she just shuts him down over and over, laughing the whole time. That's when I knew knew she was trash, and then to learn all the other things she had done, not just to the dog but current day with her cats, and exploitation of all her kids..... I deep dived the reddit snark page of hers after learning and seeing a bunch of horrible things she does and it's just a very well documented place on the internet, that can show with timestamps, how much trash her can holds, it's disgusting, she's a dumpster human and I'm not bothered about being obviously bothered by her. Good people are disgusted by disgusting people 👀🙄 She is trash 🗑️

I want to learn as much about people’s various pregnancy and birthing experiences to mentally prepare myself for when I get pregnant. I just turned 38 and am engaged to my fiancé. I didn’t find out CB and Miranda were the same person for awhile, and I didn’t like her Miranda character so I just ignored that content all together.
