Hey Janelle, regarding your fear of death I've found researching people who've had near death experiences to be extremely comforting. There's a consensus among many who've encountered death that they felt absolute peace and calmness at the time they died - many even express that they're no longer scared of dying as a result.
It might be an idea to figure out why you're scared of death too - is it the prospect of premature death and dying before you've accomplished your life goals? Is it the fear of experiencing pain before you die? Perhaps it is just the fear of the unknown? All are incredibly valid, and I think it is just a part of the human experience. Death is such an interest topic because absolutely no one on this planet has any idea what happens to us when we die - we can speculate, but ultimately we are all clueless.
I think people who've had near death experiences are the closest we've got to understanding what happens next, and trying to come to terms with it.

Some ideas for episodes while Kendall is away:
Truth or Spicy with Syd and/or Karelly.
An episode talking about childhood stories/memories or your favorite things growing up (like shows, movies, etc.).
College stories, since Kendall, Janelle, and Syd went to the same one.
Talking about Sydney's and Karelly's astrology chart.
    Doing different personality quizzes.
    A chill Q&A episode.
Just throwing those out there. I'll be down for whatever y'all decide to do, cuz I'm always happy to see more Sydney and Karelly!

My daughter JUST got her ears pierced recently, she's almost 8. That was one thing that I was adamant about - allowing her to make that choice. I am so proud that I stuck by that decision even though I was pressured by people to get her ears pierced while she was a baby. My daughter got to make an informed decision about a modification to HER body, and understood what it would mean to have them pierced - that she'd have to take care of them and this would be a new responsibility. Love that you're going to let your child choose, Kendall!

i just want to say that you are an amazing parent. i was born in chile, and it's common that when girls are born there, their ears will get pierced right away. my mom told me that she didn't want me to cry, so she told the doctors not to pierce my ears. i'm almost 18 now, and i still have no plans to ever pierce my ears, and i'm happy with the way i naturally look. i'm so thankful that she let me make my own choice, and i'm sure your daughter is thankful for you too :)

I JUST graduated college 2 weeks ago so I loved hearing you guys' perspectives on your early 20s. I'm currently in that state where it feels like I can move anywhere and do anything but at the same time actually getting companies to respond to your applications feels impossible so there's this cognitive disconnect between excitement for the future and a big desolate void. It's kinda nice to hear that you guys had a bit of a bad time at this point in your lives (well not for you lol, but you know what I mean) so if I start to get depressed again for a bit before I start figuring stuff out it's completely normal 😅

On the dog topic, I would start playing baby crying videos so the animals get use to it and it does not stress them out. As well start setting boundaries that they can’t always be in the room with you but they can watch from the door way etc same with baby’s room :) fine ways to set boundaries but still include them.

Kendall, just a suggestion, have a baby blanket that Josh can bring home to the pups before you come home with the baby. This way they get the scent of the baby ahead of time. This has worked for some of my friends with the transition

As a 22 year old who was just diagnosed with ADHD this year, I have to say all of the social media accounts that I have come across addressing these issues have been so helpful & comforting! to know that there are so many others who have struggled with the same things really helped me come to terms with what I was going through. And I feel like those tik toks can be useful because if you can relate to all of these symptoms you can take the next steps to talk with professionals & get a diagnosis! Very interesting topic, but I think the more exposure on mental health the better for everyone

I think that you could prerecord long mile higher podcast episodes and break them up into parts to post! That way you could dedicate one day to recording and then break the long podcasts into hour-long episodes :) You don't have to do just true crime you could do it on a lot of sub-topics (Aliens, conspiracy theories, or paranormal)!

Here’s an idea for when Kendall is gone… what’s it like watching from the outside as friends/ family of a pretty big RUclipsr. Knowing Kendall (and Josh too when we consider their Mile Higher Podcast), it must be very interesting for Janelle as their producer and as their family . She’s seen them stressed out about their job , she’s seen the mean comments and how that can take a toll on someone mentally and emotionally. That also applies to Karelly and Sydney too, I’m sure!
It would be interesting hearing you guys talk about that and about being recognized in public or how you handle mean messages and comments . How you handle kind messages or comments, weird crap you’ve received in the mail, the cutest stuff you’ve received…. What you’re looking forward to now in this new chapter with the new baby. .. does it make the rest of the ladies feel like they have to hurry up and have a family too or has it made you even more sure about not having kids or having them later ….
I guess in a nutshell what’s it like being a regular human being handling so much in regards to RUclips and what comes with it and still juggling real and regular life.

I actually have BPD and OCD. Diagnosed literally as the hospitals were being locked down for the first time.
I got a job later on in the year after trying new meds and such. Part of the job was we helped set up the store. It was brand new to this mall, and my OCD was in overdrive and I said something about making sure the labels were the same direction because it was driving my OCD insane. The manager literally looked at me and said “do you actually have OCD? Or are you just saying it like everyone else?”
I almost started to cry because of how hurt I felt being asked that.

Born and (partially) raised in Portland, and yes, it rains nearly as much as Seattle. In the winter, you can go weeks without seeing the sun. And unfortunately, in the summer when you do get sun, those months are A LOT hotter than they used to be. I personally never minded the rain, but being a native I didn’t know anything different. That said, there are tons of transplants who seem to do just fine with it. I personally love the rain, and you get the gorgeous lush green landscape.
Portland is definitely worth seeing. All of y’all would like it a lot. But I’m partial to the Oregon Coast. It’s breathtaking and definitely worth the visit.

First off, loooove these kinds of episodes! So insightful! ♥️♥️ My thoughts on the tooth fairy/ Easter bunny/ Santa dilemma… I believe it’s a good idea to bring these things into a child’s life. Some of my best, most memorable childhood moments we’re hunting for eggs with my cousins and waking up in the morning to a little Easter basket..
the thrill of waiting for Santa to come and baking cookies with my grandma and leaving out milk for him, leaving out carrots and water for the reindeer.. waking up overjoyed seeing the tree and hunting for the ones Santa had dropped off..
The education around saving your money when you lose your teeth when the tooth fairy came and gave me a loonie.. would save all my loonies in a tooth shaped piggy bank!
I understand the logic behind not wanting to teach your kids it’s okay to lie or just lying to them in general… but I think the fun, excitement, the memories around these things that seem so silly now that we’re grown up and think more logically, really mean a lot to the younger kids! I definitely don’t hold anything against my parents for wanting me to have these amazing memories that have lasted me through my life! I would be more upset if I missed out on all these fun things because my parents were too protective and sensitive about fantasy! Imagination when your young is SO important in my eyes!
    Just my personal opinion/ experience!!

Thanks for sharing your experience. Interestingly my parents did the whole Santa and tooth fairy thing when I was young and then by the time I was around 7 they told me that it was for fun and more about the excitement but that it was them but we pretended for fun and asked me if I still wanted to pretend and I said yes. Not sure if it was the best but it worked for me lol

It was honestly so comforting to hear that your early 20s really is awkward and difficult. I thought there was so much wrong with me because I wasn't out living my best life like everyone else seems to be. It kind of feels like things are passing me by because I'm in such a weird place.

I love having the pod on as I'm eating. It's like I'm getting together with a group of friends and having our weekly discussions lol.
Janelle, I can totally relate to you on the fear of death!! I feel like most people accept it and know it's inevitable. It's seen as normal for the majority. In my mindset, all I've ever known is living, so the thought of dying one day freaks me out. The topic of death really only ever scares me when I think about my own death. Once I start thinking about the varying thoughts of "what's going to happen after life?" I feel a sense of panic and feel compelled to start Googling "What happens when we die?" I try to not let myself ever think about what'll happen when I'm gone from Earth one day. Thinking about death when I have no power over it isn't good, so I choose not to despite being scared of it.
As I'm getting older, I'm starting to realize more and more that I don't want kids. I have felt this way since I was little. Maybe I'll change my mind one day or maybe I won't. I personally never had that motherly instinct like you, Kendall. I know that it's common amongst young girls to have that feeling, so I always felt weird for not feeling the same as my friends. Maybe it is because I grew up as an once child. I like my independence.

I felt similar to Janelle in college. It was brutal and I was a mess, always worried about graduating and if I would find a job after, grumpy and miserable all the time, health problems, etc... But it all worked out better than I could ever imagine, so hang in there guys!

I had a baby last September then found out I was pregnant right after kendall announced hers, I'm 16 weeks tomorrow . This is my 4th and last baby, I have 3 boys and this is my baby girl. It's so cool to be having a baby with my favorite youtube creator I been watching kendall since I had my first baby in 2017. You will be an amazing mother, noone knows how to be a parent we all just figure it out as we go but these babies are the best part of my life, hard to remember there was life before them.

Lived in the Portland area pretty much my whole life ( just recently moved to the Oregon coast). It does rain quite a bit but we also have a lot of beautiful weather. Definitely would not live in the city but there are some nice places to live on the outskirts. Best part about living in the Portland area is you drive an hour and a half one way you're at the ocean you drive an hour and a half the other way and you're in the mountains.

Thank you for speaking about mental health, I needed this today. I am heavily OCD, and currently struggling a lot with this. I believe almost everyone has OCD traits, but that doesn’t make them OCD. It doesn’t offend me or upset me at all when people say they are, but what Janelle was saying is right! It makes the illness seem less of a issue if everyone’s saying they have it because tiktok says so 😅😂 especially because people do tend to think it’s just keeping things neat and coordinated, it’s so much more than that. I would love to see you guys dive deeper into mental health, especially with Janelle’s background!
Much love to all the sesh/MHP team, you guys are amazing, I love watching your content! ❤️

I totally feel the difficulty of transitioning from college to adulthood. My final two years of college were fully online (first semester junior I worked in Disney World and had classes online, then Covid made the rest of them online until I graduated), so it was really hard for me, and I feel like I missed out on a lot. I graduated last May, moved to Colorado, and am now working on the professional world. It’s been a very difficult adjust, especially since I’m only 23. I’m torn between thinking I’m too ahead and have my shit too together and thinking I’m not doing enough or saving enough money or being responsible. This has probably been the most difficult time of my life, and no one really talks about it or truly prepares you for what it is like

Janelle you have got to watch Forest gump! It's such a great movie and fun little fact I actually auditioned for the little Jenny role when I was like 10 or 11. I'm 40 now but my dad is an actor so he had me audition for some things. I've been in an episode of Dawson's creek. But watch the Gump it is a classic.

Janelle's disdain for pineapple on pizza is hilarious. I'm with Kendall. I don't mind the typical Hawaiian pizza but I prefer pineapples with pepperoni. Green peppers and pepperoni is good too. Never thought of green peppers with pineapples though lol. 🍍🍕
