1:05:18 The women who said she’d shoot Britney, was actually speaking at a women’s domestic violence conference…and people actually clapped and cheered after she said it…a room full of people who were apparently all there to support women, wanted to shoot a woman because their daughters might ‘get ideas’ and after she was forced to say sorry she added that she suggests Britney should do a benefit concert to raise money for domestic violence awareness…
    Honestly, WTF.

Yeah that was sick. The first time I watched that my mouth dropped. They DEFINITELY pick & choose who they shame & who they don't. Some of these people mustve paid media off or there has to be SOMETHING we don't know. Ik Cardi B wasn't at all relevant during this time but look at her & like the catch me outside girl. They get praised & Kim K too. Cardi literally live-streamed her & her husband doing it. I never thought she'd take off after that but she did. Britney was so classy. She was shamed for being gorgeous & having an amazing body. But these celebrities now are taping themselves having sex but that's okay 😹😹😹 I mean do what You want but what the actual fuck for shaming Britney 😹😹😹

Paparazzi should be charged for criminal stalking. Thats exactly what they do. Anyone else who did the same thing, without getting paid as their “job” , would be charged with criminal harassment and stalking and given restraining orders. It’s INSANE to me that celebrities are not even treated like human beings that deserve privacy, like everyone else.

I agree. I still blame them for the death of Princess Diana n Dodi Al Fayed. The paparazzi stalked that poor woman until they killed her. Yes I know her driver was found to be intoxicated, but he was desperately trying to escape the paparazzi bc they were stalking Diana.
Prince Harry has repeatedly said that's why he moved his family to America n stepped down from Royal Duties. Ppl blame Megan, but Harry has repeatedly said stepping down was all his idea bc he didn't feel his family was being protected from the British paparazzi n he's repeatedly said " look what they did to my mother, I don't want to happen to my wife and children" our paparazzi here has not only stalked poor Britney but many other celebrities. I remember when Pam Anderson n Tommy Lee were married n the paparazzi would stalk them all the time. Pam has said since she suffered a miscarriage between the births of her son's Brandon n Dylan n she's said she believes the paparazzi stalking her n Tommy contributed to the miscarriage bc of the stress they caused her

It’s SO refreshing to see people talking about this topic in such a compassionate and understanding way. People seem to be so hard on Britney over every little thing, because she’s no longer that 16 year old girl anymore. As a paralegal, there’s several cases that have been extremely fascinating and I read all the filings - this one has been scary from the get go. They claimed she had dementia in her twenties and prevented her from hiring her own lawyer and hand picked a specific judge! Horrible people… She needed support and love, not handlers.

I am just glad she is finally speaking for herself, so many years, so exposed and, yet, so reserved. To think she could practically ruin Justin on a dawn of his career and she didn't. Also, she didn't say anything nasty about Kevin or his 'career', I'm really humbled by her grace, She is a royalty, true princess, I love her with all of my heart. True fan of her music, really appreciate her personality that no one really shows in show business (maybe for a good reason). I agree with Kendall, I feel like Britney was born a star, but maybe not built to be this famous, all of this wasn't set up for her to survive. And still she deserves the world.
I also don't think the purpose of this book was to start a drama, she was just fed up from people speaking for her, she deserves to be heard.
Also my first Britney album was third self-titled (for life).

I’m so incredibly proud of the grace Britney has had and just how brave she is to share all of this with us. She didn’t have to do this but she did & she is so incredible! Also Paris is too she went through so much as well! Kendall hormonal acne is no joke & I went through it SO badly after I had my son & hair loss I’m the worst way! Idk if you will ever see this but what helped me of course won’t be for everybody but I used witch hazel on my face and didn’t wear make up for 2 months at least skin stuff bc it was so horrible and with my hair I used rice water & stopped using all hot hair tools & now it’s made the world of difference! Idk if this will help you but if anyone else sees this I hope it might help you too 🤞✨ postpartum is really hard altogether even if you don’t get the depression or anxiety but of course that’s so hard! But I hope we all can love ourselves & be more kind to one another- the internet gives people more options to bully each other & I wish we could all just go by the saying if you don’t have anything nice to say than don’t say anything at all 🥺

I read her book the other day. It was very eye-opening. Britney seems very empathetic and self-aware and my heart breaks that she experienced such trauma. I remember the media making such a big deal about the head shaving and umbrella smack and it never seemed as bad as they portrayed it. When the conservatorship started I thought something big must have happened that we didn't know about. Compared to the shit I was doing at her age, she really kept herself together with all the scrutiny.
Edit: i remember when the helicopters were swarming and the news was live because Britney locked herself and her kids in a closet because she didn't want to hand the over. I really felt sorry for her when that happened.

People said she was crazy but what mother wouldn't go crazy and do whatever they could to not have their child taken away from them or to get their child back? ANY sane person would go insane, especially since she was having post partum depression at the same time. People need to have more empathy. I don't get how there are people who still think she was in the wrong and that she needed to be controlled because of how she acted? Well, let me take your kids away then and see how you act. Ugh! Just makes me so mad!!

I have one more thing to say. As horrible as it is to relive these awful interviews that they put her through, I'm kind of glad that the younger Generations are seeing what it was like for Brittany and what it was like during that time period. It really shows how far society has come since we were teens (i am the same age as Britney). When this interview aired, nobody had anything to say against Diane because that was the general consensus at the time. We really grew up being scrutinized like this by adults. Her and Madonna kissing was a BIG DEAL. There was no same sex ANYTHING on TV then.

It’s unbelievable. She never signed up to be a “role model” but… fuck it, to me… she’s one of the greatest role models any of us have ever known. I remember all of her old ass interviews (and am so thankful to be able to find them online here on RUclips now)… I get to appreciate her even more and all her greatness.. even more now because I’m an adult now and can understand a lot more of what she was saying and relate to it a lot more. I remember I was going through my first experience of depression around the same time Brittney was having her difficulties. I'd never been a fan of her music but I saw what was happening and felt so sad that she was clearly in need of help but instead it was like the whole world just pointed and laughed. They had "Brittney watch" on the news to update any tiny thing they could about her being 'crazy' and everyone (except Chris Crocker) seemed to just laugh and scrutinise her. I do wonder what Chris Crocker thinks now... he really tried to stand up for her and make people see what they were doing but he just got laughed at too.

Airline pilot here. I’m just gonna start by saying that what this guy did it’s absolutely ridiculous and irresponsible, he shouldn’t be allowed near any type of airplane ever again, he needs to be locked up, but I just need to let you know that there is a big mental health epidemic in the aviation industry, specially for FAs and pilots.
The FAA doesn’t care and the mental health issues we all face are IGNORED, if we say something or seek help we face getting our medical removed (which means no licence and possibly losing your job and no possibilities of getting another). It’s is a big issue and it’s only the tip of the iceberg.
I’m not sure what this was about, I don’t know the guy and what he was thinking when taking drugs, but it is something to consider. A lot of people are suffering in silence and alone.

For a the crap Michael Jackson received growing up & continued throughout his life....He could see all to well what was happening to Britney and he tried to warn her & prepare her...and he was crucified for it in the press. Im amazed that Britney made it through, it could've very easily ended differently. Im so glad she is finally burning down the world that screwed her over.

I was a nanny right out of high school & one of my little toddlers was so constipated she started screaming crying at Gymboree mommy & me class. I took her in the bathroom to see if I could help calm her, but her poo was so big it was literally causing blood. I started crying too. After it was all said & done I could clearly see that her parents weren’t watching her & she got into the dog food AGAIN! She passed clumps of undigested dog food. I had told them that they couldn’t leave the dog food bowl down, but they thought I was being too obsessive over it. I wanted to say you weren’t there you didn’t see how traumatic it was for her to go potty! So I can completely understand the excitement Kendall had about Holly’s potty success.

I feel so bad for Britney. Kanye West goes off the rails n no one bats an eye, but Britney has a nervous breakdown which I can totally understand given all the crap she was being put through n all of a sudden she's a crazy lady n a horrible mom. This poor girl needed help n love n her family chose to control her n take advantage of her fame n use her talent n fame for their own benefit.
This poor girl has been through so much, I really hope that she can finally find some peace and happiness

I’m so happy that Britney finally shared part of the truth of what really happened between her and Justin. It was really difficult to see so many people who adored and admired Britney fall for Justin’s bullshit and turn on her when she was drowning in so much pain.
A lot of people have been wondering why she didn’t stick up for herself back when it all happened.
What she left out of the book, and people don’t know (allegedly 🙃😜), is that the initial announcement of their breakup was a fake-out. For a while, Britney & Justin were secretly still together and only pretending to be broken up in order to drum up buzz for his forthcoming solo project; a plan that he cooked up with his PR and Management Team and tricked Britney into going along with. The “break up” was only supposed to be temporary. But things didn’t go according to plan...
The problem was that the plan was too successful. Justin enjoyed his new solo spotlight a little too much and didn’t want to give it up. He loved that for the first time ever, his star was outshining Britney’s. Not to mention that he was having a little too much fun running around Hollywood, (hooking up with anything that moved) while Brit was at home reeling in absolute agony and despair. This is why he went to see her in Louisiana with that framed letter that she talks about in the book. Shortly after, he decided that he was having too much fun and didn’t want to give it all up to be with her.
Britney has the biggest heart. She loves with her entire soul and she’s always willing to sacrifice herself for the ones she loves. She did it with Justin, Kevin, her kids… the list goes on. It’s a damn shame that Justin chose to exploit her and intentionally mislead the public into thinking she cheated on him to launch his solo career.
I’ve always wondered who Britney would be today had Justin not gaslit her into this PR stunt, only to pull the rug out from underneath her. What would her life, career, music, and legacy have looked like? She’s a once-in-a-lifetime talent with a heart of pure gold who is truly outmatched. It’s gut-wrenching to think about.

I know we say “how was this allowed back then?” But there are still things happening like this.
The media STILL fixates on women’s bodies. Even if it’s under the guise of “her butt looks bigger” or “her stomach looks flatter” which in society’s current standards are positive, women are still viewed as being just their bodies.
There’s articles going around blaming Jennifer Aniston declining a date with Mathew Perry being the reason he got addicted to what he did.
These things are still happening constantly, to a less extreme for sure, but it’s still just as body focused and blame shifty.

I agree with Janelle, Justin was young too and was also definitely manipulated back then too. It's bogus what happened, but I don't think he should be the poster boy for her crappy life. There are so many more people who deserve that role other than her ex. Break ups suck. Teenage pregnancies are hard and scary, no matter who you are. It was a decision they made together and I don't think it's fair to make him the villain when none of us know what his thoughts are about that situation. We don't know if he was manipulated to also agree to an abortion. We don't know if he's struggled with the thought of that baby. He has never spoke about it, and he shouldn't have. It was her story to tell or not. But until we hear his take on it, I don't think it's fair. For years, we took everyone's word for what happened to Brittany and thought she was crazy. Let's not make that same mistake with Justin.

The way we treat celebrities is still just as bad. People call her crazy openly to this day. It’s awful.. and it just makes it worse for her . Could you imagine being called crazy every day? You’d start to believe it.. I would. The comments people make .. we do have more compassion as a whole collective in some ways.. but I still see so so many judgements on everyone. Especially online. Hopefully we can continue to change
