Selective activism is another one I'd like to leave behind. On stan twitter, activists got angry at other accounts bc they weren't retweeting as much BLM as the activists wanted. And then when other countries like India, Philippines, Croatia, Japan, all had some sort of major tragedy that had fallen upon them too, they didn't get half the attention they needed to spread the word. And these so-called activists never batted an eye. What's worse is that people from those countries helped spread the word on twitter, I've seen so many of them dedicate their hours trying to get people to sign petitions and help black people in spreading their gofundmes. And then when these same people asked and begged to spread word about the major issues about the government, about a calamity, about police brutality, in their home country almost no one gave a damn and these activists never schooled anyone for it. If you're going to reply please don't hate on me for it. It's just something I observed. I'm not trying to take away any sort of light on the BLM movement because it is still so so so important. But I just wish these other issues were treated with the same respect and importance because they are a minority too, they don't have the same kind of activism in their countries, they aren't allowed to speak out about it without being scared for their lives, their people don't have the same power as others do.

When I was in therapy one thing I learned about trigger warnings is this: you can’t police or control other people’s lives and what they post if they post something that’s ‘triggering’. The best thing to do is either unsubscribe from whoever it is that’s triggering you or just scroll. Or if it’s in a video, don’t watch or fast forward the scene. You can’t expect other people to change their lives for you... especially if they sure as hec don’t know you. And if something is ‘triggering’ you that much then maybe it’s best you get some help. But that’s just my 2 cents and what I’ve learned 🤷🏼♀️

And also that some Christians will pick and choose what they want from the Bible, and then use it against other people. And I'm not saying that other religions don't also single people out, it's just less likely because they have also been singled out. There are progressive Christians who know not everything in the Bible is true and that understand and respect other people, but there are a lot that don't and tell people they are sinning and going to burn in hell.
coming from an athiest, i agree with both points, but i will say I've seen a lot of dislike towards Christianity aswell especially by fake wokes on twitter, assuming that every one of them is judgemental is rude and insulting their god by referring to it as "sky daddy". because Christians are the most practiced, they are not regarded as "opressed" and are seen as privileged hence so it's easier for people to make fun of them without being labelled discriminatory. the irony is that while they are very privileged in the western world, there are Christian minorities being persecuted in regions like Sudan, north Korea, and Syria. people tend to call out Christians for homophobia and discrimination but are too afraid to call out other religions like Islam and Judaism who believe in the same thing due to fear of being a bigot, since Muslims and jews are already persecuted and attacked all over the world as well

I would like to say that “Christians” who pick and choose from the Bible to throw at ppl are not Christians and do not represent us. That’s literally not what Jesus did or taught. I cannot speak for progressive Christianity cuz I am not a progressive Christian since they completely reject and do not align with some of the most foundational teachings in the Bible and TWIST the heck out of it AND are completely untrustworthy to a majority of the Christian community. From what I have seen and heard from them, these are the kind of ppl who literally pick and choose what they want, erasing God’s teaching and what makes us stand out as Christians. Most of us believe that they are their own SEPARATE religion at this point. This is not judgment to whoever is. Just wanted to point that out. Progressive Christianity is not Christianity. God doesn’t need to be progressed. Back to the picking and choosing, there are some teaching in the Bible that do not align with us anymore like “ceremonial laws” e.g piercings, dying and plaiting hair etc which were put in place for God’s ppl to be made righteous in God’s eyes and make them stand out before all other polygamous religions at the time. Now we don’t need that ANYMORE because belief in Jesus Christ is enough for us to be made righteous in His eyes. It’s more a historical reference in the Bible. The reason I brought this up because ppl love to weaponise specifically that against Christians as “pIcKiNg aNd cHoOsInG.” From a Christian myself (idk if u r) we are literally trying to solve this “going to hell” thing. It’s fear mongering and shuts ppl out from having proper open conversations with Christians in order to help them understand what our world view is like. We can all spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ without being horrible to ppl. Apologies if anyone has experienced this. Finally, Christians who don’t identify as “progressive” (due to obvious reasons *expplained earlier) aren’t these stereotypes ppl make us out to be. Example number 1: me 😂😂. And there are a good amount of us out there are who can truly follow Jesus, believe the FULL validity of the Bible as proper guidance (lots of evidence and proof to its reliability btw. Everything is completely true or the evidence/arguments for it. I’ll link some sources if u want it) and still be approachable, kind human beings - open for discussions with ppl from all backgrounds and sexualities -(since it’s so controversial, we actually respect the LGBTQ+ community and God does actually love them. We’re all His creation.) Back to my earlier comment/questions if you are going to call out Christians, pls with all sincerity call out other religions/religious ppl. Just because Christianity is the biggest religion in the world does not mean it must be society’s (American or not) punching bag or number one movement for “wokeism”. However, it’s pretty unlikely because ppl would rather avoid or less likely call out other religions such as Islam or Judaism (despite them having similar beliefs to Christianity) to avoid being perceived or called bigoted (Islamophobic or Anti-Semitic.) Selective activism is another one I'd like to leave behind. On stan twitter, activists got angry at other accounts bc they weren't retweeting as much BLM as the activists wanted. And then when other countries like India, Philippines, Croatia, Japan, all had some sort of major tragedy that had fallen upon them too, they didn't get half the attention they needed to spread the word. And these so-called activists never batted an eye. What's worse is that people from those countries helped spread the word on twitter, I've seen so many of them dedicate their hours trying to get people to sign petitions and help black people in spreading their gofundmes. And then when these same people asked and begged to spread word about the major issues about the government, about a calamity, about police brutality, in their home country almost no one gave a damn and these activists never schooled anyone for it. If you're going to reply please don't hate on me for it. It's just something I observed. I'm not trying to take away any sort of light on the BLM movement because it is still so so so important. But I just wish these other issues were treated with the same respect and importance because they are a minority too, they don't have the same kind of activism in their countries, they aren't allowed to speak out about it without being scared for their lives, their people don't have the same power as others do.

When I was in therapy one thing I learned about trigger warnings is this: you can’t police or control other people’s lives and what they post if they post something that’s ‘triggering’. The best thing to do is either unsubscribe from whoever it is that’s triggering you or just scroll. Or if it’s in a video, don’t watch or fast forward the scene. You can’t expect other people to change their lives for you... especially if they sure as hec don’t know you. And if something is ‘triggering’ you that much then maybe it’s best you get some help. But that’s just my 2 cents and what I’ve learned 🤷🏼♀️

And also that some Christians will pick and choose what they want from the Bible, and then use it against other people. And I'm not saying that other religions don't also single people out, it's just less likely because they have also been singled out. There are progressive Christians who know not everything in the Bible is true and that understand and respect other people, but there are a lot that don't and tell people they are sinning and going to burn in hell.
coming from an athiest, i agree with both points, but i will say I've seen a lot of dislike towards Christianity aswell especially by fake wokes on twitter, assuming that every one of them is judgemental is rude and insulting their god by referring to it as "sky daddy". because Christians are the most practiced, they are not regarded as "opressed" and are seen as privileged hence so it's easier for people to make fun of them without being labelled discriminatory. the irony is that while they are very privileged in the western world, there are Christian minorities being persecuted in regions like Sudan, north Korea, and Syria. people tend to call out Christians for homophobia and discrimination but are too afraid to call out other religions like Islam and Judaism who believe in the same thing due to fear of being a bigot, since Muslims and jews are already persecuted and attacked all over the world as well

I cannot speak for progressive Christianity cuz I am not a progressive Christian since they completely reject and do not align with some of the most foundational teachings in the Bible and TWIST the heck out of it AND are completely untrustworthy to a majority of the Christian community. From what I have seen and heard from them, these are the kind of ppl who literally pick and choose what they want, erasing God’s teaching and what makes us stand out as Christians. Most of us believe that they are their own SEPARATE religion at this point.

Progressive Christianity is not Christianity. God doesn’t need to be progressed.
Back to the picking and choosing, there are some teaching in the Bible that do not align with us anymore like “ceremonial laws” e.g piercings, dying and plaiting hair etc which were put in place for God’s ppl to be made righteous in God’s eyes and make them stand out before all other polygamous religions at the time.
Now we don’t need that ANYMORE because belief in Jesus Christ is enough for us to be made righteous in His eyes. It’s more a historical reference in the Bible.
The reason I brought this up because ppl love to weaponise specifically that against Christians as “pIcKiNg aNd cHoOsInG.”
From a Christian myself (idk if u r) we are literally trying to solve this “going to hell” thing. It’s fear mongering and shuts ppl out from having proper open conversations with Christians in order to help them understand what our world view is like. We can all spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ without being horrible to ppl. Apologies if anyone has experienced this.
Finally, Christians who don’t identify as “progressive” (due to obvious reasons *expplained earlier) aren’t these stereotypes ppl make us out to be. Example number 1: me 😂😂. And there are a good amount of us out there are who can truly follow Jesus, believe the FULL validity of the Bible as proper guidance (lots of evidence and proof to its reliability btw. Everything is completely true or the evidence/arguments for it. I’ll link some sources if u want it) and still be approachable, kind human beings - open for discussions with ppl from all backgrounds and sexualities -(since it’s so controversial, we actually respect the LGBTQ+ community and God does actually love them. We’re all His creation.)
Back to my earlier comment/questions if you are going to call out Christians, pls with all sincerity call out other religions/religious ppl.
Just because Christianity is the biggest religion in the world does not mean it must be society’s (American or not) punching bag or number one movement for “wokeism”. However, it’s pretty unlikely because ppl would rather avoid or less likely call out other religions such as Islam or Judaism (despite them having similar beliefs to Christianity) to avoid being perceived or called bigoted (Islamophobic or Anti-Semitic.)
Unfortunately it’s made pretty clear that ppl have this strong unnecessary dislike towards Christians before having conversations with them or realising that we can all have different beliefs on things and still respect one another.

The other issue with the blaming zodiac signs trend is that it's not even how astrologers say that astrology works, and in the example you showed in the video, the stereotypes used are not the correct ones for the sign mentioned in the video. With Aquarius, the stereotype is that they're unconventional, but that doesn't mean that they always have to break laws. Also, with astrology, many prominent astrologers (e.g. Maren Altman) define it as studying the correlation between celestial alignments and events on Earth. It's a reflection, not a causal relationship. Also, it's more than just the sun sign that defines someone's personality. The sun sign also only defines the expression of someone's personality. The rising sign is the main thing that defines the personality.

I used to be way into REAL astrology... You need to know the exact time and place you were born... It would present a very detailed personality profile... But you're supposed to use it to see your strengths and weaknesses and make a change for the better... Astrology is definitely not for everyone... But if it helps you become a better person I don't see the harm... Also someone who practices astrology like that doesn't go around talking about it.
