It's amazing how much detail you can go into with these stories. To give a little more detail to just Lorgar. He grew up really religious based on his planet of origin. So like your Loremaster said he was very slow at conquering planets. At some point the emperor realized he was going so slow and send someone to figure out why. When he realized it was because they were forcibly indoctrinating each population into worshipping the emperor. The emperor was trying to end all religion not create his own. So what did he do? Did he sit down with his son and explain to him this was terrible? No. He had his son's homeworld burned to the ground. He then forced his son and his entire son's legion to come to the dust and ruins of his dead homeworld and then forced them with his psychic might to simultaneously kneel at his feet and admonished them as failures as the wind blew the dust of the dead around them. ( There is a short cinematic you can see called death of hope that shows this kneeling) Afterwards the entire legion was mentally crushed and destroyed but destroyed but went on to capture planets at a rate the emperor was happy about. The emperor thought they got the message. In reality they just found new Gods. The religious book that the current imperium worships is the one Lorgar wrote. After the emperor died over thousands of years small cars the viewer's small cults with that book continue to spread and gain power until well you know how the imperative is now. We really are living in Lorgar's imperium. Great episode.
Bruh Konrad Curze is my favorite, dude talked about lack of nuances but didnt mention the nuance of Konrad....he suffered so much for so long at the same time making the people of Nostromo suffer for any crimes committed. But his brutal tactics eventually worked. The whole planet bowed to him and not a single crime was committed for i think a few decades and during that time,he brought everyone out of poverty and took the corrupt out of their noble seats, everything was fine, everyone was scared of him,but it gave them perfect lives until the Emperor came to take Konrad with him on the great crusade. Meanwhile thru all of this,Konrad began having premonitions at some point. They showed him everything, from when the Emperor would come,to the name Konrad Curze being given to him by the Emperor, all the way up to how the Horus Heresy would start and him betraying the Emperor until being killed. Konrad suffered so much and went mentally insane, feeling tied down to these visions of the future, feeling that he had no choice but to make them come to pass. He broke inside as the great crusade went on and almost all of his brothers damned him for his brutal inhumane way of fighting. He felt that his Father, the Emperor, made him who he was,so why was he being tormented and damned, where as his brothers were praised. He had no one to love him, ever. Then finally being at the Emperor's side,he still felt unloved, unappreciated, even tho he did what he swore he was meant to do. So he died at the hands of most likely an inquisitor. Nervously manically twitching at the face, crying tears of sadness and relief,he was ready for the nightmare to be over, after so many centuries of killing for Justice and peace at the cost of never being loved or adored.
Alpha Legion for Life, Bay-Bay!!! My first Table-top Army and still one of my favorites, I even went so far as to convert regular Space Marine models to show they were "under cover", LOL!
Hi Night Lords stan here. Little information on Nostramo, the planet orbited a dying sun and the pollution from the planet blocked what little sun they would have gotten. Instead of being one Detroit, the planet had 5 major hive cities and they were all pretty much Detroit/ Chicago or any other horrible city you can think of. The Most people on Nostramo joined gangs as children before joining the legion. Most Night Lords shun anyone that is corrupted or possessed so calling them Chaos Astartes is a little much, I prefer Traitor Astartes. Some novels I suggest are the Night Lords Trilogy, Prince of Crows and Konrad Curze’s own book.
Night lords are like if you got an entire legion of the Batman who laughs Also the honour thing is right, when abbadon slew sigismund of the black templars he put him in a coffin and sent him back to the black templars out of respect
actually the night lords have not fully given themselves to chaos, neither did their primarch, they had already gotten in trouble with the imperium a short time before the heresy started
If we're really trying to pit blame on anyone for the fall of so many space marine legions I'd say it was Kor Pharon and Erebus. But there are plenty of reasons that they fell to Chaos.
Fun Fact: Making drinks is one of the favorite pass times of Chaos Space marines
and the Sons of the Russ :P
Both Baldemort and Adeptus Ridiculous do great videos on the Alpha Legion. Worth a watch if you want to learn more

Great episode.
Ironic, the emperor tried ending religion by creating a religion himself
I like Konrad Curze and I absolutely understand where his ideas come from.

That's cool! We haven't heard of people using different models like that so that's awesome

Eye of Terror you say? I like that name a lot.
Sounds kinda familiar 🤔

I mean curze had a point
Yeah everything was doing ok until freaking Horus came down with the ever so deadly Daddy issues.
I guess daddy should've raised him better 😂
@@GMineo To be fair, it wasn't his fault he missed out on 20+ years of his kids lives.
You philistine, he used Senryu. 😁
btw, will you guys do another hellsreach?
TRUST me. Unless one of us dies we'll be finishing helsreach
@@GMineo This pleases the Emperor
Konrad Curze didn't like Konrad Curze.
