This was some really fun video! Orkrates was pretty fun, and so was the teacher. Lots of people don't realize that it can be pretty hard to sum up alot of lore, and make it fun to listen to.
We love Patrick (loricus)! We're glad you enjoyed it because it takes a lot of effort for all of us to make these but we LOVE getting to do it. Thanks for watching!
@@GMineo btw, not all Orkz actually look the same. There are actually 3 other sub species of Ork kind, such as the Squigs. The other 2 are the Snotlings and the Gretchen. Snotlings are these imps who provide for most of the labour the Orkz require. The raise and train Squigs, farm food for their masters, and at times are used as cannon fodder and/or live ammunition. The Gretchen are more akin to Goblins and typically serve as scouts, spies, and assassins. They are actually generally smarter than the main Ork species, having demonstrated the greatest compacity for cunning. They have even created their own small criminal underworld in Ork society, where they enjoy comparatively comfortable lives while still being enslaved to the big Boyz. Unfortunately, this isn't enough to save them from being used as mine sweepers or emergency rations.
Gotta love orks and there randomness my favourite ork weapon epitomises them perfectly the SHOKK ATTACK GUN! An over the top gun that uses gretchin as ammo teleporting them at the enemy. Each time the weapon fires you roll the stats so it could be weak as a lasgun or creat a blackhole that wipes out what it hits.
So, speaking as a professional expert on Orks (I wrote large sections on the Orks for several 40k RPG books), there is one area of this that really bugs me. Two, if you count Americans doing awful Mockney Accents. The idea that Orks make things happen by believing comes from memes. It was originally posited as a theory in-universe by a Tech-Priest who was trying to explain why such "primitive beasts" could create advanced technology. Ork guns are guns... they might be crudely put-together, and jam or misfire a bit more often, but they're still gun, and it *may be* (but is unconfirmed) that Ork psychic ability makes their tech more reliable in their hands, but it doesn't let them fire guns that aren't actually guns. Much of this is the Imperium being dismissive of the idea that Orks could actually build working machinery. The "Waaagh field" does exist, but it doesn't really have that effect on tech that has become a meme floating around the community. It's more psychological than psychokinetic.
12:38 also in Ork logic, "Why ave wun Orl god wen you can ave two? Wun Ork god mean no other god to fite." In layman's terms, "since Orks are bred for war and battle, why have a singular god with no other gods to fight?"
I hope the yada yada ing about the old ones the necron and the korks gets its own episode because a whole chapter of the 40k was just missed. That's a huge story in and of itself but I hope you guys cover at some point so that they get the context that war in heaven defined everything in the present. Rip old ones.

"Can you imagine being so wired for fight that you would get sick and die if you don't fight?"
The Hive: *cough cough*
The more we learn about the orks the more we love them 😂 they are the main characters of 40k
@@GMineo Funny enough, they are the only ones having a good time in the Grim Darkness of the far future.
It shows 😂

What the heck 😂 so they're pretty chaotic huh
Orks are true believers in manifesting their destiny, especially when they don't realize it.
😂 this is why we love them so much

And just remember, if you ever cosplay as a ork. Never go as a purple one, nobody will notice you!

Beta we didn't even THINK of that. We've talked about them so much that at this point they deserve an episode. Thank you for the suggestion!
@@GMineo that makes me happy
99% of the info we "know" about the Krork is fan speculation.
