Thank you. I fixed my 2014 taurus 2.0, with traction control not available, adaptive cruise control not available through your method. Being no key start button, I pushed button without pressing brake pedal. And I took the neg terminal of battery for 5mins. It fixed. 😃

I have a 2010 Ford fusion. I had a sensor taken out of my tire . Ever since my power steering service now and advance Trac popped up. Also saying tire pressure sensor fault. I replaced the power steering because it was so hard to drive. Got it back three days later. Drove home working. Bam by the time I got home it locked up again. This is 45 min later. I know my power steering doesn't need replacement. I just got it fixed. Something is throwing it off. My car even stalls when driving. Tires spin and want go. It jerks back. I cut off and back on then take off. Some times, well most of the time I have to keep doing it. Horrible! If this can reset on my fusion power steering and advance Trac then I will be saved from money. The replacement of the steering broke me. I have no more I can do with this car. Please let me know how your fusion is doing and If this is what you were going through. If this helps for real I will be so happy!

THANKS SO MUCH THIS ACTUALLY FIXED MY POWER STEERING!!!! Jumpstarted car and after it started told me power steering, steer assist, traction control, abs, hill assist all of it needed repair. I thought I fried the chip. Power steering was actually out. Unplugged battery 5 mins and everything is running great! I OWE YOU!
Thanks this worked on my 2011 ford e 350. At first I tried the 5 min idea but it didn't work , on my second attempt I did 10 min and so far advanced tracking signals are off. Thanks for the video.

Thanks. Great. Had the same problems... abs lights and front airbag light came on and off on my 2016 focus Titanium saloon. I just followed your instructions,but instead of disconnecting the negative terminal, I disconnected the positive instead...for ease of access. Drove the car for a while and the lights didn't come on. Acceleration seems smoother.

I just done mine but the the light was still on after doing all the steps like you. So what i did was to take it for a quick spin and pressed the brake hard to engage the abs and then the light was off . I quess it activated/forced the traction control to engage.Thanks for the tips.

I also had an aftermarket engine kill relay with remote and after having a free battery check at Halfords they said its the alternator not charging correctly and have to change it. But I removed the engine kill relay and no more problems. I think that was drawing too much power in standby. Ford fiesta ofcource.
@lucianbrighi I'm aware it only has to be around 15mph or 25kms I'm also unsure if that would affect abs unless your drawing power from a constant power supply that's to do with the abs .. Abs wheel speed sensors , sense the friction in relation to the spin of each wheels sending the same or equal number of spins to the ecu (engines cumputer) Traction control on the other hand detects the slip of one wheel compared to the others there for allowing a certain amount of play between the rotation of the 2 wheels aligned . For eg , on dirt one wheel will spin faster then the other this will trigger your traction control if you don't have a button to turn it off . If I need to explain further , while entering a corner or long bend one wheel would have to rotate more then the inside wheel to allow correct dynamics.
I have three light on: engine, tire pressure sensor and ABS. Also, the fuel inlet message on. I use this method, for 5 mins. When the power on, the engine light off and fuel inlet message gone. Amazing! Thanks!

I removed the ABS harness for the abs do you think your method here would also work on a 2011 Ford F-150 XLT. I was replacing a brake line on the ABS and a removed it knowing I should have removed the battery but now I'm having all these lights same as you lit up my dashboard..
I tried this three months ago,and it worked, now it comes again.... Can't endure the repeated flopping, so I tear up the speedmeter and kill the horn and three smd lights (track,brake, abs). Now, deaf and blind are better 😄😄
I do this and is working. If isn't working do 2 time's, control the fusses, somewhan can't fuse making this kind of hack, if dosint work control or change relais. This problem had cum when I had cleaned the contacts of the fusses and relais. Thank you for the video is very good an save all for spending money.
REF 2009 Ford Explorer with hard code P0401 (EGR insufficient flow) for a few weeks. Now I have new (soft codes) ABS light/Service RCS NOW and RCS traction symbol light coming on and off erratically at random. I am aware these codes have nothing to do with the PO401 hard code. Found the ABS sensor harness connector from front left wheel at ABS module not fully plugged in and and un-locked. Cleaned both ends of this ABS harness and reconnected with connector fully engaged and locked. Problem continues, but very randomly now. Will your procedure work to remove the ABS soft codes/warnings, without curing the EGR PO401 hard code first? THANKS!

I did the same on 2018 Ford Fusion S and it worked just as good. Couldn’t reach the negative terminal to disconnect so I did it by doing it with positive. Must work for all fords. I did have a 2017 F-150 STX that would malfunction and the method I used for that was master reset the head unit( radio)

How does one know the diff between whether it's a soft code vs a hard code? I think this happened when Pep Boys replaced my two front tires..came on after they were finished.
Just seen another post where one person turned the key on (not the ignition) and stepped on both the brake and the accelerator for a couple seconds and that turned the engine light off. I haven't tried it cause it's 2:17am, it's blowing and it's damn cold outside.
What all lights were on. I have 3 lights on on my 2016 Fusion along with Beeps every time I start it. I have to keep hitting the ok button to stop the Beeping

Not a chance this this did not work on my 2003 Ford Windstar SEL. Did exactly what you said all sensors and reluctor rings have been replaced as well. Don't know what else to do to be able to check the actual ABS module as the codes do not show up on my autel OBD scan tool.
So I have a 2015 Ford Escape. I needed a new wheel bearings on my front driver. It kept flashing on my dashboard one day on a storm morning then the next day it just stayed. I got a new wheel bearings but it's still on the dash. I wonder if I'll work 🤔

I already tried the steps in your video, twice with 10 minutes of being disconnected, and the indicators still show up after starting the engine. Does this mean that mine is a hard code? Have 2005 explorer XLT 4.0 I scanned it with a cheap Actron code reader and zero codes but my abs and advance trac lights are on .My question is if I do your procedure will I need to complete the drive monitors??? If the lights go off I have to go through inspection but want to know if I'll have to run the monitors first ?? Appreciate your response . Subscribed!!!
2017 Ford Feista SE. A little over a month ago the wife called and said the car want move. She said after drivingbfor about 30 minutes the brakes seemed ro start applying themselves and bringing the car to a stop. When i got there it would move, you could put it in drive and reverse and it wanted to go but it steemed like the emergency brake was on. After setting for about an hour you could drive it again but in about another 30 minutes it would do the same thing. I thought it was the ABS module so i replaced it but nobthe breaks gobto the floor and the traction control light is on and rhe ABS light flashes. Your thoughts
A block in the line . Or calliper pistons stuck out and won't go back to driving position . Could also be wheel bearings . Due to happening when appears to be hot . Maybe use piston tool to wind in callipers in the right order from furthest away from booster to closest . Then bleed Wheel bearing you would need to Jack car up and shake wheel any play left and right is wheel bearing any play up and down could be ball joints aswell Also spin the wheel and look for grinding or humming .
Have a 2017 expedition that just threw the same codes and no power steering. I had the same Idea of disconnecting the battery but didn't know about leaving it in the "on" position, will try it again. thanks

My Fiesta yesterday replaced the broken left lamp ball. Must open the battery and fuse box. Then ABS indicator appears, hand brake lights, and traction control. is this method useful for removing ABS lamps??

George, I tried twice with positive and negative cords both, but it did not work. I have ecosport 2013 diesel model. Had already changed Right Rear speed sensor (as per scan report) (ABS) but it was showing same malfunction ABS service error. My car is keyless. But pressed once without using foot . Fruitless. Just a small query , do I need to press brake padels after removing battery cord.....? When I rejoined battery, it did not get all icons back , so pushed power switch again.
I was really hoping this would work on my 13 Fusion… have the same lights plus airbag. Replaced a wheel speed sensor and they went out for a week and they came back… did this HOPING and still on. Looks like I gotta dig for the issue. Video was very helpful though, straight forward.
I tried it on my 2015 Ford Focus, but I disconnected the positive because the negative is hard to get to. It didn’t work, so now I disconnected the negative and I’m waiting 5 minutes. If it works, I’ll edit this.
So I replace the radio to aftermarket, and I didn’t plug airbag passenger side light because I don’t have anywhere to connect it this is the light that tell me passenger airbag on passenger airbag off, do my ii think it will reset this?

This did not work! Done twice And still have advance Trac and power steering service now. I replaced the power steering. It locked up again right after i got the car back and made it home. My car Stahl's while driving and jerks back and forth. I pull over cut car on and off. Cut back on and some times it'll go sometimes it'll do again. It's not my power steering seeing I replaced it. What can it be? Now my tire pressure sensor fault is on. Replaced every tire yesterday. So no low tire pressure! So idk!! Sensor was pulled out of one tire. A tire without a sensor. Could it be that? Can that throw computer off? Please help
I don't know how to thank you for the info on this video. My whole problem turned out to be the way I was rebooting the system and the key was the answer. I started off by changing the battery ($200.00) because the one they sold they car with was just a $60.00 car battery AND it said they battery wasn't being charged. So actually, I needed to do that in good time anyway.

Your abs module will not entirely reset until u go above a certain speed after repairs .

Does removing the negative terminal affect your radio?

What do you mean by Hard Code? By the way, my Odometer/ Speed Needle is also not moving to show what speed I'm driving.

Genius! I feel the same way about mechanics, and I am one... now days they don’t FIX anything, just know how to replace.

Not a chance this this did not work on my 2003 Ford Windstar SEL. Did exactly what you said all sensors and reluctor rings have been replaced as well. Don't know what else to do to be able to check the actual ABS module as the codes do not show up on my autel OBD scan tool.
So I have a 2015 Ford Escape. I needed a new wheel bearings on my front driver. It kept flashing on my dashboard one day on a storm morning then the next day it just stayed. I got a new wheel bearings but it's still on the dash. I wonder if I'll work 🤔

My ABS, traction control and hill assist only comes on after I start the engine. I already tried the steps in your video, twice with 10 minutes of being disconnected, and the indicators still show up after starting the engine.
Does this mean that mine is a hard code? Appreciste your response.

I think its a hard code. Same with me, U3000 abs module need to be replace.
Have 2005 explorer XLT 4.0 I scanned it with a cheap Actron code reader and zero codes but my abs and advance trac lights are on .My question is if I do your procedure will I need to complete the drive monitors??? If the lights go off I have to go through inspection but want to know if I'll have to run the monitors first ?? Appreciate your response . Subscribed!!!

How do you keep it on the on position if you have a push to start that wound stay on on position when you plug the terminal back?

2017 Ford Feista SE. A little over a month ago the wife called and said the car want move. She said after drivingbfor about 30 minutes the brakes seemed ro start applying themselves and bringing the car to a stop. When i got there it would move, you could put it in drive and reverse and it wanted to go but it steemed like the emergency brake was on. After setting for about an hour you could drive it again but in about another 30 minutes it would do the same thing. I thought it was the ABS module so i replaced it but nobthe breaks gobto the floor and the traction control light is on and rhe ABS light flashes. Your thoughts
A block in the line . Or calliper pistons stuck out and won't go back to driving position . Could also be wheel bearings . Due to happening when appears to be hot .
Maybe use piston tool to wind in callipers in the right order from furthest away from booster to closest . Then bleed
Wheel bearing you would need to Jack car up and shake wheel any play left and right is wheel bearing any play up and down could be ball joints aswell
Also spin the wheel and look for grinding or humming .
Have a 2017 expedition that just threw the same codes and no power steering. I had the same Idea of disconnecting the battery but didn't know about leaving it in the "on" position, will try it again. thanks

My Fiesta yesterday replaced the broken left lamp ball. Must open the battery and fuse box. Then ABS indicator appears, hand brake lights, and traction control. is this method useful for removing ABS lamps??

George, I tried twice with positive and negative cords both, but it did not work. I have ecosport 2013 diesel model. Had already changed Right Rear speed sensor (as per scan report) (ABS) but it was showing same malfunction ABS service error. My car is keyless. But pressed once without using foot . Fruitless.
Just a small query , do I need to press brake padels after removing battery cord.....?
When I rejoined battery, it did not get all icons back , so pushed power switch again.

I was really hoping this would work on my 13 Fusion… have the same lights plus airbag. Replaced a wheel speed sensor and they went out for a week and they came back… did this HOPING and still on.

I tried it on my 2015 Ford Focus, but I disconnected the positive because the negative is hard to get to. It didn’t work, so now I disconnected the negative and I’m waiting 5 minutes. If it works, I’ll edit this.

This did not work! Done twice And still have advance Trac and power steering service now. I replaced the power steering. It locked up again right after i got the car back and made it home. My car Stahl's while driving and jerks back and forth. I pull over cut car on and off. Cut back on and some times it'll go sometimes it'll do again. It's not my power steering seeing I replaced it. What can it be? Now my tire pressure sensor fault is on. Replaced every tire yesterday. So no low tire pressure! So idk!! Sensor was pulled out of one tire. A tire without a sensor. Could it be that? Can that throw computer off? Please help

I don't know how to thank you for the info on this video. My whole problem turned out to be the way I was rebooting the system and the key was the answer.
I started off by changing the battery ($200.00) because the one they sold they car with was just a $60.00 car battery AND it said they battery wasn't being charged.
So actually, I needed to do that in good time anyway.
