Good review dude! I have the tr8 and keyboard "arm", you can get around the mouse issue by mounting that last part the other way round, the mouse will then sit behind the keyboard. I'm gonna grab the harness now after seeing this!
Your about the 10th person I’ve seen to not use the silver collars properly. Where the two frames mount together at the front, loosen the sliver collars and put them over the join then tighten up. Have a look at the instructions online. Wheel deck if tightened correctly should not move. The only movement would be from the joint but if you put the collars on properly this should lessen the effect.
I was a bit worried that as companies started giving you stuff you'd start bluffing to keep it coming, but such seems to not be the case. The whole Moza deal scared me, but looks like we're good. Keep it coming. Two questions; one, what is that handbrake? 2, Why aren't you using the Moza pedals?
The handbrake is the Akina handbrake by 3DRap. I made a separate review on it a few months ago! In terms of why I’m not using the moza pedals, I’ve been waiting for someone to notice LOL. It’s simply because they’re a bit of a pain to uninstall and reinstall since they come separate from each other. So for these videos I just use my T-LCMs because they are easier to instal. I’ll be reviewing the moza pedals soon. Also, thanks for the comment :)
@@OCRacing Ah, I see. I can see how installing individual pedals can be nasty tedious. On the note of pedals, I'm thinking about getting a pair of T3PMs, can you recommend them? My T3PAs are acting up and I like the look of the T3PMs.
I know this video is a year old and been looking this setup would the mouse plate and keyboard plate be swappable for location so mouse is under the keyboard?
Nice review! I was hoping if there will be review of gt omega art racing cockpit, becuase it is in reasonable price for what you get. You should check it out 😁
I would not. While the TR8 can hold entry level DD wheelbases, I wouldn’t recommend it for more powerful ones as some noticeable flex will be seen. For higher end gear, I would look at aluminum profile rigs. A good, relatively affordable choice is the 6Sigma Sim Racing 6S:80 for reference.
Great review. I couldn't agree more with your points. I've recently put mine together (I was waiting for the Fanatec CSL DD compatible with Playstation). Your setup is sick, well done mate. Quick question, do I really need the buttkick mount, it cannot be installed directly in the rig? Stay safe
I've got a TR8 at home which is quality. I see you used the Moza Direct Drive Wheel asweel. Did you need any extra mounts for it or can you use it as it is?
Hey could you tell me, would it be hard to transport? Me and buddys have a sim race meet every few months just a single screen using the mount that comes with it
So, surprisingly not. Im assuming you’d be transporting it in a large SUV. The chasis itself disassembles into 3 main parts (individually they don’t weigh too much) and then the seat which is VERY light. The reason I can so confidently say that it isn’t too hard to transport is because I had to take it up three flights of stairs when I wanted to move it to my bedroom. All I had to do was disassemble the 3 main chasis parts and the seat and take them up stairs individually. For reference, I’m 20 y/o and around 130 pounds and I was able to lift and take everything upstairs individually without much hassle. Something you could do is also just remove the seat (which takes less than a minute) and haul the entire rig onto your car (assuming it’s a big car) without disassembling anything. Granted, it would be heavy so you’d definitely need some help. I could definitely see it working though. It’s also not too large on either length or height so it would easily fit in most large SUV’s or pickups. Hopefully that helps, lmk if you have any other questions
@@OCRacing thanks for the great response if your were to buy a tr8 or a profile tr160 which would you choose? I am about to pull the trigger but so undecided 🤦♂️

@Jeremy Subasic as stated immersion. We all want the most realistic feeling in our rigs, i dont need many things but i want everything.
