I have a Svive racing d1 tube cockpit and I also have a bit of flex/movement in the seat slider part. It started doing it after a couple of weeks. I fixed it by putting some rubber washer in between where the seat slider meets the rig itself. I Just cut them to size and pushed them in there.
@@GavinNaylor Yeah your flex looks much worse, and it's a real shame because the rig looks fairly solid otherwise. Do you know there is an updated version of the tr8 out now, the tr8 pro? It looks super solid.
@@GavinNaylor One shop just started selling both the rs6 and the tr8 here in Norway and I was considering the rs6, but after your review I think spending a bit extra for the tr8 would be my best move.
My left slider bracket came loose after a couple months of use. They come premounted from the factory. I took off the Trak racer plate and tightened it down and I was good to go again!
If you remove the hand break is the shifter more rigid? They have an add on that’s meant to provide a second platform for your hand break / shifter. As you’ve got it set up it looks like your hand break hangs over the front, providing a huge amount of leverage and off center weight.
Yeah it's just a spacing issue to be honest I wish the standard plate was just a bit bigger, I've currently got it set up with the hand brake off to the side to the stain isn't that much which works a lot better
@@piedpiper1172 No worries just trying to do what I can to help, I think even though I've now had this for a year i do love it but i wouldn't 100% reccomend it now
Not sure what version of Rs6 you got? cuz my Rs6 mk 2 with Trak racer seat is rock solid (mount 1 buttkicker behind seat and 1 on chassis). Only flex i find out is pedal mount. Equipment is DD1 and V3 pedal
I’m thinking about getting the RS6. Do you think if I buy a chair from them along with the RS6 and maybe a bigger mounting plate for shifter and e brake, running CSL DD 8 nm and V2 pedals it would be solid?
Just my 2 cents on you seat problem. 1) Is that a rubber/foam pad between the bracket and slider? Was that included with the rig? 2) The rear eyelet screw is not providing any tension, consider getting appropriate fasteners in the correct length. Both 1 and 2 could contribute to the flex/wobble problem, and 2 could be the cause of the squeaking issue. Hope this helps.
Thanks for this awesome review! I was just about to pull the trigger on this rig and decided to go up to the 80/20 rig.
Glad I could help!

honestly I've put as many washers and rubber fixings as I can and i've still got so much flex its frustrating

@@haraldjohansen1867 yeah i really do like this rig its great its just that flex that ruins it, I've seen the TR8 pro it looks mega

Interesting maybe i'll give that a go

I've got the exact same one, have you got the seat slider on yours as well? Thats literally where all the flex comes from on mine

I like how you blame the rig for the seat moving but you're doing some dodgy mount to get it on there
Very true

This is super helpful! Thank you so much
Why are you using eyebolts? A standard bolt and washer would work much better.
If the tips help, please release a follow-up.
@@onecjwilly you make a very good point about the eyebolts if i change it I'll do an update, currently the rig is disassembled
your seat is definitely mounted incorrectly. please use actual bolts that are properly torqued
I know I know my seat is also not the right fit for the sliding bracket
why don't you remove the slider and fix the seat directly to the frame
because then i'd lose the ability to move the seat
So if I actually bought a seat with from TR and a bigger shift plate with 8 nm would be a good setup otherwise?
I would think so
It's in the seat base and seat which you have installed poorly as an add-on.
Keep going gavin
Thank you! I will
Which model is this? Mk1, mk2, mk3?
MK3
TR 80 lite looks like a nice pick.
It does indeed
What about the tr8 pro?
