- Believe it or not i get comments and look's about my truck all the time... on top of that I've had several people asked to buy it too.
Deep dive into the past, present, and possible future of my 2003 Toyota Tundra SR5 Access Cab 4x4.
Custom front and rear bumpers, tiregate, 33's, Manual Transfer case, etc..
Love the content brother. Can’t wait to see what else you plan to do with the tundra!
Nicely done! I do feel ball joints are an issue on any truck. Any truck coming into shops I've been at would be loose. Just something that all trucks need checked for. Nice customer bumper, tire rack and 4wd set up
Thank you
Nice Tundra 👍🏻
thanks but its changed since this video lol
I like the bumpers.
Thanks! I use every opportunity I can get to further my fabrication skills and try to Materialize my ideas
Hell yeah
The transfer case actuator can be removed by removing the 3 screws and taking out the little gear the actuator slides off. I'm running a Rancho quick lift Springs and struts and my 33s fit perfect. A load resistor behind the passenger headlight fixes the fog light high beam issue.
honesty happy with my manual transfer case swap..less things to go wrong..never been a fan of push button 4wd parts regardless of brand.
I have something bigger in store for the suspension of the tundra. when i put these tires on the truck i was informed that 33's would fit without modification...otherwise i would have stayed with 32's
You can put adjustable Bilsteins on the front
I wasn't sure what he was talking about. I went with bilstein adjustable front struts. Worked perfect for leveling.
Rock auto, adjustable upper control arm. It’s repackaged spc upper control arm for way cheaper
Good to know! I've been slowly piecing something together for the front end, but we will see what way i end up going.
Woah woah woah! What do you mean??
I def did not see anything of this sort😊
I just bought the 2.5 inch level kit for my 01 tundra.. it’s just 2 big spacers that go above the front springs.. I wasn’t told about any new control arms. even the place I got it from didn’t say anything when I asked them (rough country). Reviews didn’t say anything about but either.
The one I bought didn't say anything about control arms either, but I fought the truck 1 1/ 2 days before figuring out they wouldn't fit.
I'm 1 ton swapping the truck, so it really doesn't matter to me at this point
Nicely done, the video is mirrored at some places…
unfortunately everything i do is off of my phone currently so it will in some places that will be the case.
My first car, xterra. Sold for my 2wd 2001 tundra. Small world my friend. Does the transfer case swap work if u don’t have 4wd. Also funny enough I ran down that same path with the whole front spacer realization
I honestly don't know if the transfer case swap would work with a 2wd transmission. I would say that you need a 4wd transmission or the pieces that convert the 2wd trans to a 4wd trans.
Rancho makes quick lift struts that will fix the tire rub, spendy at $1000 for all four struts.
I did it on my 2000, install took a couple hrs and no suspension mods or removal.
i have bigger plans for the future, had i known that the rubbing was going to be this much of an issue i would have just left 32's on the truck with a stock style rim
Solo motorsports lower control arms put the ball joint 1” forward to stop the tirer rib issue
I have something planned so I'm dealing with the rubbing for now
I had one of these on 35s that I built
Awesome! I'm not saying to much but 33's are just a temporary size.
@@HELLBOUND_GARAGE I blew two trans missions a front diff and rear driveshaft on that truck had a great time with it but I ended up selling it after that
@@troyfabrizius9942 Ford parts are in this trucks future
You have to keep making videos ! They are super informational and I’m going to be using this for the transfer case swap. Do you have an instagram or Facebook?
Gonna try, i always have projects going on and its a way for me to stay motivated. Facbook and insta are the same hellbound_garage.
What transfer case did you put on the this transmission?
98 toyota 4runner 6cyl auto
what year of tacoma did the transfer case come from?
honestly dont remember, i'll have to crawl under the truck find a part number
98 toyota 4runner 6cyl auto
How many miles does it have?
242k and climbing. I have a friend with a tundra with 270k beats the heck out of it and runs like a champ too.
@@HELLBOUND_GARAGE yeah those engines don’t die.
220k here
Your truck is not right hand drive is it? It’s the camera doing that? lol
you are correct, its just a standard boring left hand drive tundra lol
Where can I order the front bumper
You can't it's a one off that I built myself
@@HELLBOUND_GARAGE ok thx man that bumper looks awesome.
What’s the mileage on it?
currently 244,000 miles
@@HELLBOUND_GARAGE nice 👍
Type in 2003 tundra load resistor for fog lights this is your fix.
yea i already bought the stuff to fix the issue, LED's in my flatbed had the same issue. all good now
You got an Instagram?
