I ran mine for the first time yesterday on a 1/8 scale track it’s really impressive and I own and race a techno ET48 2.0 truggy.
Such a sweet car, with all the the rtr 1/8th scale buggy out, I'm interested in how this thing stacks up against the rest! Your vids are a true blessing bro

@@Jason_Voorhees. Typhon is alright. More leaned too be a basher, even with the machined parts. Its also heavier. I own both. If you want it to be more racey, id pick the losi.
That thing scoots along pretty well, even on 2S. It handles great!

Was yours leaking oil in the box? Mine had a puddle of oil in the box. I think it's from the diff.
Mine has it on the center diff gear and pinion.
Oh ok. I really wish that would not of happened! I just replaced the chassis on mine. unfortunately it is not the same that comes in the kit. I replaced it with the TLR chassis. So far it's holding up fine. I never saw a chassis bend so easy before lol
That is a sweet looking track. Think I would go 2wd buggy if 8th scale was limited to 2s though.
Nice, looks really good and geared towards racing. I am surprised that the carpet track let you drive it on there. There use to be an Astro turf track I would go to and they didn’t let 4 wd short course trucks on the track and I assume they probably wouldn’t of let a 1/8 buggy on either
Yeah, just depends on the track. I'm surprised they wouldn't let you run 1/10 SCT there! But at the carpet track, as long it's 2S it's OK and they race 4WD SCT too.

im a 10th scale buggy guy myself. If I ever were to dive back into nitro, I think I would do a 18th buggy though. Anyways neat video
You know I sure most have forgotten… Losi did an electric buggy about 10 years ago maybe longer it had a dynamite brushless system … it’s was ok for the times. Losi was more focused on there 1/8 scale nitro stuff at the time. So yeah it was kinda lame. Now electric’s have come so far !!!

The receiver shouldnbe 5.5ms capable, but I'd wager the rtr transmitter is still 11ms , as the DX5c for example is DSM-R and only 11ms, but the same recievers will bind to a DX5 Pro ar 5.5ms...
Very interested in any info that shows the rtr transmitter working at 5.5ms, as I may put a couple back into service if thats the case... I'm debating using one that we don't use anymore, from a King Sling rtr, fir an E-Buggy I may endnup selling, so that I could offer it as even more almost ready to run for someone newer to racing maybe, just add battery/charger and transponder.... I'd for sure test it that way first...

I guess this would be comparable with the Kyosho mp10 ready set? Hopefully, LOSI will release a nitro version so it can be compared with the Kyosho. It's awesome that LOSI uses metrics in this. As a European, I'm not familiar with the US standard. Would be awesome with nitro version and a Dynamite Mach 2 engine 😀
Yup, this would be a direct competitor to the MP10e Readyset. I hope they bring out a nitro!

@@chrisvda7277most 1/8 esc and motors are 6s capable but you only allowed 4s racing. Why? I'm not real sure but 6s would be too much 4s is all you need on a track

Tlr typhon rtr is still a better option imo for all the machined 7075 parts.
The Typhon is a lot heavier and better for bashing, this is better for racing.
Instead of getting rid of all the old molds, they just recycle it into R.T.R.s... That's why r t r cars look like frankensteins

Crazy! Don't worry, this is not the end of the testing, but just the beginning... I wanted to try it while it was still clean, would be rude to take a filthy outdoor 1/8 scale here.
Over priced most cars in that range is 6s

No 6s rtr in that range is coming with a sensored system. This is bred as a track car.
@DatSun. Do the pros run 6s capable cars with 4s?
TLR Typhon Roller comes with most 7075 parts so that seems the better option.
Hobao Vs Pro roller also 7075 parts.
Just choose 6s electronics.
A Kraton is not geared for 1/8 scale dirt racing. They are in two different categories.
