Hatha Yoga with David Procyshyn: A 30-Minute Class for the Shoulders

- www.doyogawithme.com Do you have stiff shoulders and a tight neck from working all day, and only have a half hour available? If so, this class is perfect. This class stretches every major muscle group that crosses the shoulder joint, releasing tight areas and relieving tension and pain. And there's even time for a 2-minute relaxation at the end!
I did this class for the first time when I was 24 ish and I thought "who needs this? I don't feel anything. I'm doing a vinyasa class tomorrow. " Now more than ten years later, after a decade of desk work, breastfeeding, and staring at my phone I FEEL it and I LOVE it. I hope this channel is live forever.

as searching youtube for the perfect yoga sequences has sort of became an accidental hobbie; this video is hands down THE BEST if not for shoulder and neck stretching poses, just over all balance of instruction, background stimulation by way of music/mantras and your voice is insanely soothing. 10/10

I have a very tough physical job and these body part specific videos help so much when I need to release tight muscles. Sometimes a full body flow yoga class won't hit those areas deep enough and only gloss over them. Thanks for all you do!
Hey David, I have shown your videos to some of my co-workers to help them with their pain. I can't thank you enough. I have done yoga for fourteen years and this is so much better than what I have done before to release my lats and traps. I get terrible headaches and this is the cure!

Even with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome which affects all my joints (tight and painful) I can almost do the all class because stretches are slow and deep. Great class as well as that of the hamstrings and lower back. Thank you so much and so sorry for my English. Namaste

Thanks so much for this routine, I have tight shoulders and this really helped. I did the routine yesterday evening and after that I noticed a tingling in my left hand fingers and thumb. Sort of feels like my hand is falling asleep. Now 12 hours later, I still feel this. Any guesses on what that could be?

Hello David Procyshyn, I've discovered your yoga recently, and really enjoy them. Thank you for posting them. I have found the "Deep Release for the Hips, Hamstrings and Lower Back" particularly helpful.
Question: Is it possible to do this class in cross-legged position, rather than on my knees? Even with the pillow, I'm finding it uncomfortable on my ankles.
Great stretch for my shoulders and neck. Seemed to really help! But the music sounds like a funeral dirge.

Jessica Weidler - in a chair, cross legged provided you can keep back straight. Or with legs straight out. And standing works. You find the best method for you. I also can’t kneel for long. I also use blankets under the knees for cushion or else it just hurts. Hope it helps.
I cant sit for more than a couple minutes, even though I got a pillow for under my butt. My ankles just kill and my knees are no better. The same goes for the 30 minute legs and lower back video were we put one leg back on the floor. Help?

What do you recommend for folks who can barely clasp their hands behind their back - and cannot straighten their arms for the deep stretch?
Hi, Polly. You can use the strap to connect your hands, and move them closer each time you do it.
DoYogaWithMe.com I don't have a strap but I have a resistance band that I got a while ago (think of a piece of rubber that is flat basically lol), could I use that in place of a strap?
