This is by far the best yoga instructions I have ever seen on the net. David`s calm and gentle voice is so perfect for a a yoga teacher, his voice and calm way to explain every step is so easy to follow, he really takes us viewers with him and guides us through the lesson. It is just perfect, so good not only for the body but also the mind. Thank you, David, you do a wonderful job! And all that for free on the net, incredible.

I agree! And I don't know how to explain it... he's really connected to the body on such a deep level. I don't always feel like I get that with other classes.

My frequent traveling doesn't allow me to commit to a yoga studio. But I've been following yoga on youtube for years, and David's classes are my favorite. Unlike most other instructors taking you through strenuous warrior drills for toning your body, or working towards ultimate impressive poses, David's teaching is full of ease and calmness and non-grand poses. Yet, without even trying hard, I was taken into stretches much deeper than with any other classes I've been to, without risk of getting injured. And it really really addresses the issues. Years of long hours working on a laptop, and long haul flights across the Pacific, I've had neck and shoulder pain, slouching back, and occasional insomnia by jet lag. David's Neck and Shoulder release class could always put me to sleep. After this upper back session, I've never felt my upper back and front body so loosened up, and upper back was not crunchy. Thank you so much Daivd! While I can be invigorated from other yoga classes on RUclips, your classes really really solved my problems. Namaste!!
This is such a testament to his abilities and I wholeheartedly agree! I started my yoga journey about 8 years ago and he was my go-to for instructional videos. Unfortunately because of work and exhaustion, I haven't done yoga in about 2 or so years. I started again tonight! I didn't mean to find this video but when it came up, I knew I would be in a comfortable and safe space for my body with this instruction.
I have suffered from back pain since I was maybe 16 years old, and only getting worse in the past decade where it's sometimes difficult to get out of bed or function at either of my jobs.. but I'd get out of bed for this. It's peaceful, restorative and exactly what I personally need. I'd venture to say it's what anyone could benefit from!
David is so professional, calming and understandable. I really enjoyed the small meditation at the beginning and end too. I thoroughly enjoyed this class!
cool. True. Your way to lead us to the poses works to the extent that we focus on the alignment rather than in looking at the screen to see what you mean (you find that in most virtual yoga classes). In summary. I liked this video. Thanks. :0)

Perfect for office workers or anyone who has to sit down all day! Thank you so much for posting this video, it is so helpful. It is a very calming class and the poses are held for a decent amount of time so the user can benefit from the stretch.

I've been doing David's Yoga Class for Carpal Tunnel for years and it's actually a changed my life. He definitely focuses on some stretches which are towards the physical therapy side of things. Very helpful routines.
I have been doing these a long time and now in my 70s these videos are amazing - this morning my neck and shoulders were excruciating and so I did this and the relief is momentous- thank you so much and like Lars your voice and pace is perfect. Lizi 🙏🏻

This is absolutely the BEST yoga class for upper back I've ever done in my life. I started with back pain, I finished with no pain and literally burning (hot!) back muscles. Hands down the most rewarding yoga video I've ever viewed. As a tall student who works at desk for long hours this allows me to rebalance my entire upper body and feel like I had stepped into a new body afterwards.

David you are the best! I've gone through a library worth of Yoga videos on RUclips, and yours are head and tree poses above the rest. After just 30 minutes with one of your videos I feel so much better. I do this Upper Back routine the day after my Upper Body day with weights when I find my upper back and shoulders sore from curls, pulls, and rows. After your routine it feels like somebody reached in there and undid the many knots that had built up. Thanks for being awesome David! You make yoga work for the working out man.
Now my hamstrings and low back are a little better thank for practising your other classes and I suffer from upper back with neuralgia for two weeks. My body is always painful with my Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and as time goes by I have to discover more classes and yours are still beautiful, relaxing and efficient. Thank you very much!

One of my favorite. thanks for reminder to keep core engaged, I often forget. I enjoyed the guided meditation at beginning and end, although sometimes I feel as though the meditative aspect is in yoga practice all the time.

David thank you for this awesome video. I woke up this morning knowing my whole body was out of balance. I felt stiff, sore and achey with tons of fatigue. I guess a job loss as well as a stressful move across country will do that to you. This video helped ease those tight back and shoulder muscles so much that at times it was painful, yet felt so good I wanted to weep with relief. Thank you !! I will be looking for your other videos
David, thanks for all of the classes you put out there on the web. You are by far my favorite teacher. I've gone to yoga studios and followed along with other yoga videos and they just don't compare to your slow and still way of working with the body and mind. To say that my upper back feels loose is an understatement. I've never done stretches and poses like this and I felt myself getting emotional during one of them. That's how I knew that a deep release was occurring. What an incredible video. I'm a beginner and this was doable and so effective. I'm floored!
Another awesome stretch by David. This is my first time doing this particular stretch routine and my shoulder blades, which were aching this morning, now feel wonderful.
I’ve had pain in my upper back now for months and I’ve tried everything. This is the first relief I’ve had. And it lasted. I had no pain yesterday after doing this flow and I’ve had none today. So I repeated it. I could cry with relief. Thank you!

David and DYWM team and YT channel -- this morning I was immobilized by upper pain in my right upper back that suddenly came in the shower. 800mg of Ibuprofen didn't help. This did, and I now feel both relief from the sharp pain (which is now much softer) and also curiously peaceful, accepting, and with a lovely side-effect of that 'open heart' and warmth also in my chest. Thank you so much.

This was awesome, thank you! I usually do videos focused on low back issues, but it seems part of my low back issues were coming from my tight shoulders and upper back because afterwards my lower back feels so much better! I am traveling and didn't have strap, rope, etc., so I used my phone charging cable, haha. If that didn't work, I was going to remove a pillowcase and try that. Thanks again!

My upper shoulder blades were sore from transporting a large bag of produce from the farmer's market by bus. This sequence was extremely beneficial in ridding my body of tension. I feel soothed and present. Thank you David.
