      It's advertised as an engraving tool. Do you think it would hold up if you were to put a Kutzall bit on it and carve with it ? Also has any one tried Dremel bits with it? Thanks.

      @@kevingregoire2764 I intend to test all of this. It takes a smaller size of standard bits, but they apparently have an adapter so it can fit all dremel bits.

    Thanks for the review. There doesn't seem to be anywhere in the UK where you can buy them. Can't find any online at all unless you're buying from the USA. Frankly, I've been stung with import tax a few times that virtually increases the price of the item. I wonder if your freebie came from the UK or USA. I was also wondering how much of the design you'll use if the board gets used? I'm thinking you might lose some of tbe fine detail when moisture gets to it. I'm new to this so it's a genuine question. Also, could you rub something in (non toxic) that could darken the engraving? Maybe coffee grounds or charcoal - the way spoon carvers sometimes do it. I'm thinking of buying something really feminine for my wife's Christmas present and engraving her name on it so she she knows it's always for her..... something like a Dyson vacuum cleaner. (Joking folks, just joking !...I can't afford a Dyson. 😀) Cheers Sean

    • @UncleFrogface
      @UncleFrogface  Год назад

      Sorry for the delay. Yes there are lots of finishes you could use on it to bring out the design whether it’s intended to be food safe or not will dictate what’s used. Coffee is a good option. I’ve washed it multiple times and had no issues so far with losing detail. Mine did come from the US, I’m not sure about import but I haven’t heard anyone else mention it. Probable best to contact Martina on the culiau instagram and she could advise more.

      Cyrilic3. This equipment can not be on par with professional stuff as it lacks staying power (non electrical power needs recharging usb etc).
      Faro, Foredom, NSK & others @ higher cost but can take hard beating as they can work many hours on end. Ask any jeweller, as you will be aware.
      High level doubt that anything rechargeable can be compared to my Kavo flex shaft and NSK micromotor, lasting over 40 years & 10 yrs, respectively.
      If t is for professional use as jeweller, wood carver, engraver robust stayer high torque can't b beaten.
