Mine had the Allen wrench in the bottom over lapping the charge connection. I know it’s been two years, just saying that’s where mine was. And it fell out all the time so I kept mine in the case it came with . I love it though!
I recently purchased one of these and ran into the same issue: how do you switch bits? Instructions say there should be a wrench but there was not one in the package. I’m glad you were able to show how to change them! I was considering returning the item since I have never used one and couldn’t figure it out. Thanks for putting this together!❤
I just received mine from Amazon. Thanks for doing a demonstration on how it works. The tips are very helpful. Everything was in my kit. I got 16 strips of stencils, but none has a shamrock. Still, I look forward to using the kit.

What you have to do after me figuring out for an hour pushing the two middle bits turn it into the screw bits in the head fall in and then push your button

Thank you for doing a review. The reference to an Allen wrench is confusing - according to the Amazon page and user feedback, the bits are simply pushed into the chuck, and the saws need to be tightened in with a (tiny) screwdriver. The chuck which you normally would tighten a bit with moves but doesn't seem to go anywhere. Mine came charged and also with extra bits like yours that don't fit into the case which is kind of strange. The stencils would need to be traced first with a pencil, not used directly with the tool. Haven't tried it yet, but will definitely wear safety glasses!
She is using an older version. The newer V3 has a battery charge icon and a 1,2 or 3 showing speed selected on the LCD screen. And there are different bundles including different accessories.

The pen pictured on the top of the box is actually not the pen in the box. You can see the bigger chuck on it where you attach the bits. That would be where the allen wrench would tighten the chuck.

The Allen key is underneath, near the charging port., , and it's not thick wood, you're using soft pine. I got one today. Think it's pretty average for the price, 80 Aussie dollars, , but, it does what I needed, shape and polish after my laser engraver... Cheers from flooded Australia...✌
Just for those who see this and this comment, please note that this particular model does NOT have the allen key nor any screw in the chuck. If you compare the 2 types, with key and like this, without, you'll notice that the version with the key has a chuck that sticks out quite a bit, where this one is close to the body. ALSO, NOTE, if you're looking for a tool where the bit does not wobble, THIS IS NOT IT! Because you can't tighten down the bit and the hole in the chuck is bigger than the chuck's shank, the bit just flops around at the hole. It's really a stupid design!
You also had the boarders to trace off of the stencils. You need to trace everything before you do the work with the pen. You won't ruin your stencils then. I like some of the tips on this one verses the one that I have. This one I like, but mine has different speeds which I also like.
girl read the instructions thats why they literally place them on top 🤷🏾♂️stop guessing please 🤦🏾♂️ the first "head" as you call them are for glass ,rocks, and you basically clogged it up using it on wood . come-on. the disks have an orientation depending on what way its spinning im not hating but people come to this videos to "learn" by the title of the video and you are as or more confused.😅
I just ordered this as well. My suggestion would be to read all the instructions before doing the video. The Allen wrench needed was at the bottom of the pan and you insert it into the side. Where are you? Insert the tips so you can tighten it. So glad you were injured. I know there weren’t many that were included so I went back to Amazon and their picture showed more detail and answers a lot of questions.
How can you possible review a product if you have no idea what you are doing. You might want to read the directions first and give a practice try first.
Thanks for the feedback. The way I see it is beginners buy products all the time. As a beginner myself, I believe it's valuable to share my experiences and things I've learned with other buyers. I never claimed to be an expert, and if I don't find the directions particularly helpful or clear (which I did not here), other buyers deserve to know that as well. For the most part, through my channel, I have built a generally positive community of people sharing their knowledge so we can all be better. Many people have politely given pointers or information in the comment section, and I have learned from them as well. That is the purpose of this content. Experienced or not...everyone (especially beginners) should take the time to read instructions when trying a new tool that they're not entirely familiar with...otherwise this is how accidents happen. Seems as though you have issues with constructive criticism. This is RUclips, so you might as well get used to it, not everyone is going to pat you on the back & say "Nice job" everytime you create content, lol.

They were simply unclear or lacking, which led to the majority of my confusion. I mentioned very specifically not being able to find the allen key nut as listed in the directions. There were no directions regarding the tips or how to use them/assemble them, only directions for the pen itself. Admittedly, I did press the power button before checking the directions, but you can clearly see me opening and reading them immediately after around 1:52. I did cut most of the footage of me reading them out of the video because I did not find that to be interesting content. I do not expect a "nice job" every time I put out content, but I do believe I may explain myself or clarify missing content if I am met with concerned/confused comments in these situations. If thats considered taking criticism poorly, then I suppose you're right about that. In the future I will certainly be more clear about how I use directions to avoid being unclear. i just received mine today and this POS is going back!!! The instructions for the chuck are for the older model that actually had the screw in the chuck and the key in the bottom. This version, you just slip the bit into it and that's it. The stupid instructions say to tighten the screw, but there is none! Yet, the picture on the "instructions" is of this newer version. This is just really poor quality checking. But that's not why this is going back. I bought this one in hopes that there'd be no wobble, like on the Dremel tool and even the Ryobi tool. I put a bit in, turned it on and the wobble was worse... way worse than the other 2 tools I have!!! And I can clearly see why! This silly push in to fit is trash. The top part of the chuck has a hole that is bigger than the bit's shank, so instead of the bit being held in a solid way, it flops around. What a dissapointment! I didn't want this for engraving. I saw a lot of other guys in the electronics field using pens like this to clean off corrosion on PCBs and they work so well. But I've not seen one that doesn't have the side hex screw. Those tighten down at the chuck itself. Yup, going back.
I got this for my daughter. Youre getting blasted in the comments for NO REASON. The people who are saying that you should read the instructions and that the allen wrench is on the bottom clearly don't have the same product.
If you're going to make a demonstration video for a tool you really should read the instructions and be familiar with it before you start filming. I cannot watch this
Maybe read the directions first? Then you can speak intelligently about the product. Would make for a more factual test of the product. You’re sort of just guessing.

Trace the stencils with pencil then engrave the pencil markings.

My kit is almost identical except I didn't get the drill bits and saw pieces.

maybe the stencils are used to draw lines with a pen and then engrave them lines using the device

You don’t always get Amazon packages in complete order, some things may be missing and maybe (key wrench) was not packed.
