Here's your Wiki on ZZ Top: Mr. Billy Gibbons - Guitar and Vocals, Mr. Dusty Hill - Bass and Vocals, and Mr. Frank Beard (without a beard) - Drums. They are " That Little Ol' Band From Texas". And they have been since 1968. And they are still going, Your guess was right, this was an 80's song, they already had a big catalog when this came out. Ant they are still going. RIo Grande Mud, Fandango, Deguello, Tejas, ZZ Top's First Album, are all albums that came out in the 60's and 70's. Waiting For The Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago, La Grange, Cheap Sunglasses, I'm Bad I'm Nationwide, Blue Jean Blues, Francine, the list goes on and on.Three men can create a lot of chaos. That's Rock and Roll.
Yes they are worth checking out. Try , Tush.
Yes... We ain't asking for much.
ZZ is fun. They show what you can do with 3 chords and a catchy riff.
yeah this video was fun to watch
Legs and Tush are fun songs 😁
YESSSS
Waiting on the bus/ Jesus just left Chicago...... Also my heads in Mississippi
Moved to The Outer London Suburbs exactly 38 years ago but my head still in the heart of inner London.
Mississippi....my fave! That bass!
My favorite ZZtop song is "Gimme All Your Lovin'" off the 1983 Eliminator album. Eliminator is, simply, an 80s classic.
This IS 80s. Your comment about watching old videos and how that woman is old now both cut me deep
..and also made me think how much you need to react to Van Halen's Hot For Teacher, official video. 😳
Back when music videos mattered.....and had creativity.
Anther group of three really cool talented dudes!
" Jesus done left Chicago " one of ZZ's best
Awww Man ZZ Top best beards on the planet!! Reminds me of high school & riding in a Dodge hi-rider listening to ZZ Top on KLOS rock radio!! Love this song!! This group was founded in 1969 in Houston, Texas. Bluesey Rock is the genre. 🎸🎸 Now you gotta do LEGS next! 🦵🦵
Check out “La Grange”, “Tush”, “Tubesnake Boogie”, “Cheap Sunglasses”, and if you want more 80s like this one, “Legs” & “Gimme All Your Lovin’”, as they were off the Eliminator (Model of the antique car) album, and videos have a similar flair as this, but you see more of Billy Gibbons on guitar, Dusty Hill on bass guitar, and the only member of the trio of ZZ Top without a prospectors beard is the drummer Frank Beard. 🤣
Each of them is a superb musician, and they often are considered Southern Rock, Swamp Rock or Texas Rock - but no matter how you label the genre, ZZ Top lays down rhythm that grabs and sustain you while the vocals and guitar work keep you smiling even if you don’t exactly know where the music is going to take you. 😆 It’s okay because the ride itself is so much fun! Anyone who has a chance to see them - even these days should do so, as ZZ Top is a terrific live band to experience!
Keep up the great reactions to the music you chase down! Good music transcends time, style, genre, race, sex, ethnicity and even fame and fortune as recording artists. After all, there are some mighty fine songs that are “one-hit wonders” that might be obscure these days and by artists that aren’t really well known these days. Reactions like yours, help introduce good music to a whole new audience, and that’s a wonderful thing you do, sir. 👍🏻 Keep on doing it your way! 🎶
No man... NOT three men with beards. Rather two men with beards plus a clean(ish) shaven drummer named Frank Beard. Cosmic hilarity. In other words- fun blues rock. Enjoy, Biz- Hi from Canada... be safe.
thats funny 😂😂😂😂
I'm bad I'm nationwide! ZZTOP
Jimi Hendrix said Billy Gibbons of "The Moving Sidewalks" at the time later "ZZ Top" and Terry Kath "Chicago" were the 2 best guitarist he had seen. "Fact"
Jimi Hendrix never was one to hold back a compliment. He was a true human with a pure heart.
" Cheep Sunglasses" or " Tush " they got many bangers ✌️♥️
Rip to Galyn Gorg, the dancer in the video. She was also in fresh Prince of Bel Air.55 is to Young.🇨🇦😥
Loooove them try cheap sunglasses!! This song you’re doing is off the eliminator album pretty much any video they did of the eliminatorp album was an MTV classic video back in the day
🎸💯 "Cheap Sunglasses", "Mexican Blackbird" & "Tush" are all fun cuts‼🔥 This 3-man band has some great stuff to listen to! Dive on in BizMatik!
🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
The other big songs from this album (Eliminator) are:
Legs
Gimme All Your Lovin'
Got Me Under Pressure
TV Dinners
she's got legs is a great song and one of my favorite videos. it's also a fun video built on a revenge story.
Blue Jean Blues is a great blues tune
The Natural progression of ZZ Top Videos you have to watch "Legs" Same Actors....same premise. Good 80's Fun.
Brother Biz, ZZ Top is the quintessential 70s Texas Blues-Rock band. Their first breakthrough hit was "La Grange," still one of the best foot-stomping, gas pedal pushing, fast driving songs ever written...an absolute MUST listen. An absolute BANGER!
Follow that with "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide," "Tush," "Brown Sugar," "Arrested For Driving While Blind," "El Diablo," "Waiting On The Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago."
Their 80s hits along with "Sharp Dressed Man" include, "Give Me All Your Loving," "TV Dinners," "Legs," "Pearl Necklace," "Tube Snake Boogie," and "Velcro Fly."
Great stuff prior to this album:
Brown Sugar
Waitin' for the Bus/Jesus Left Chicago
Tush
La Grange
Cheap Sunglasses
Beer Drinkers and Hellraisers
I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide
Amazing band, with a deep and epic catalog of songs.
Their early stuff in the 70s was way more dirty blues based rock. Then the 80s hit and they had a trilogy of albums that were in this style of blues rock with pop sense and a dance beat that took them to a new level and were awesome
Oh yes, this band is definitely worthy of exploring.
Try "Lagrange"
There are 3 albums off this album Eliminator that have the cool car and girls in the video:
1. Legs
2. Gimme All Your Lovin
3. Sharp Dressed Man
Check put the other 2!
They are unique, good old rock from Texas. Great musicians 🎸🎸🥁🎶👍
The video is a gender-reversed Cinderella story ZZ Top are the Fairy Godfathers and the hotrod is the Golden Carriage. The Parking Lot Manager is the evil stepmother, and the Nice Girl at the end is the Prince
They ain't no Fairies... 😎
It's more like the gender-reverse version of Legs, with the 3 fairy godmother as hot chics in hot rod
They’ve been around since the 70’s. This one IS From the 80’s
oh wow okay.
“Swag ghosts”...awesome
😂😂
These cats have swagger! Check out Waiting On The Bus / Jesus Just Left Chicago, LaGrange and Tush for starters.
YES! You need to go all the way back to the first album, called "First Album" and my favorite from that is all of them! Haha! If you wanna hear some crunchy guitar, you must begin at the beginning. Came out in '71.
Will do!!
"Rough Boy" is awesome
1983 this came out. Off of their Eliminator Album.
Just a little old band from Texas . This is their 80's stuff. They are blues based and got a great catalog . Older tunes their best. think. Waiting on the bus/jesus just left Chicago a great place to start . It's like heartbreaker/ living loving maid by Led zep always play them together. You will be hooked on them after that.
The ZZ machine!
Watch more of their official videos, they grant wishes and help people out.
They have a long list of great songs. La Grange is a good one to check out.
The only dude without a beard is frank beard, the drummer!
These guys do the blues as well as anyone.
Legs and Velcro Fly!!🎧😎
"La Grange" -"Waiting for the bus/Jesus just left Chicago "- "TUSH" -'Rough Boy" - "Pearl Necklace" & my personal fave "Thug"! Just a start! \m/\m/
Great reaction on this one bro. I love zz top. You should try reacting to stevie ray vaughn life without you live at the Capitol theater 1985 and stevie ray vaughn Texas flood live at the el mocombo its fire. Stevie ray vaughn is the GOAT ON THE GUITAR 🤘✊🤘💥💥
the greatest littlest band from texas!
You know you're doing something right when the Rolling Stones fly you to Hawaii to open for them.
Explore absolutely
Biz! OMG ZZ TOP! Yeah they are 70's but they are so good they held down 80's too. They are MORRRRRRRE than worth reacting to. "La Grange" is a 70's classic and fly as #! Billy, Frank, & Dusty are Texas blues gutartists down with Stevie Ray Vaughn!! Yeah, they were friends. Did you get a look at those guitars - Gibson Les Paul Standards. The car is "The Eliminator" 1933 Ford Coupe. Here's your killer line up - there's more but these are "musts".
La Grange
Tush
Legs
Gimme All Your Lovin
Thanks jennifer 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Oh hell yeah, their catalog is worth exploring. Try La Grange, Brown Sugar, Just Got Paid, Waiting for the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago as starters. I like their early stuff much better than their 80's stuff even though the 80's song are okay.
You should check out their older albums starting with their first one- ZZ Top’s First Album. 🔥🔥🔥🎸✌️
I like this one but prefer their earlier stuff 🎶🎸♥️ Their catalog is definitely worth diving into! This one is for 1983.
More ZZ Top please. So says Austin Tx!!!!!😎🍸
Please do more zz top they are legendary
Love my home town boys. " Cheep Sunglasses ", is my pick , but any thing will be great. Enjoy
Anything off the Tres Hombres out album Fandango album the greatest hits albums a good one check them out there worth the trip
Dude, I freakin' love your reactions! This was great. BTW, ZZ Top is only TWO guys with beards and one guy named Beard. And yes ineeed they are worth a dive down the ZZ Top 'rabbit hole'.
Dusty Hill on the bass guitar and "The Rev. Billy G" (aka Billy Gibbons) on lead guitar. The drummer doesn't have a beard he's just caled Beard. No, really. His actual name is Frank Beard. Two guys with a beard and one guy named Beard without a beard. It sounds more like the start of a comedy skit than that "Little Ol' Band From Texas".
More from ZZ Top? Here are my suggestions:
"My Head's In Mississippi"
"Waiting for the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago" = There tracks are back-to-back on the album Tres Hombres
"La Grange"
"Sure Got Cold After the Rain Fell"
"Goin' Down To Mexico"
"Tush"
"Legs"
"Long Distance Boogie" (John Lee Hooker cover)
"Nasty Dogs & Funky Kings"
"'Certified Blues"
"i Thank You"
"Tube Snake Boogie"
""Gimme All Your Lovin'"
"Got Me Under Pressure"
"TV Dinner"
"Doubleback"
"Concrwtw and Steel"
"Fuzzbox Voodoo"
That's a pretty good overview of ZZ Top from the 1970's through the early 1990's with a couple of 'deep tracks' thrown in just to keep it interesting.
Great song; their best video.
BLUE JEAN BLUES IS A MUST
Man, I totally forgot two songs for the Ladies:
"Tube Snake Boogie"
"I Thank You"
😎😎😎
Damn, and "Pear Necklace"! 🤣😎
Their song "nationwide " 👍 I never see it suggested though so oh well ✌🤘
If you’re looking to see those girls in another video check out the first one in the “Trilogy “ - Gimme All Your Lovin’. Then check out Legs the second in the trilogy. Otherwise pre-80’s ZZ Top check out Cheap Sunglasses, Tush, Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers and Just Got Paid.
If you want ZZ to fill you with great funk then listen to LaGrange and Waiting on the bus/ Jesus just left Chicago. Killers!
What Bob Schenkel said. The only thing missing was an explanation of the car keys. ZZ had a series of videos that had the trope of the band members aiding a loser in getting the girl, symbolized by the car key fob. "Gimme All Your Lovin'" and "Legs" are the other two. And that hot female you were impressed with? She's been a Playboy centerfold. First name Jeana, last name Keough or Tomasina or Tomasino. Search is up to you. Carry on, sir. Have mercy.
First!! Great song!!
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
The only clean shaven guy has the last name of beard.
Yes
I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide
Cheesy until the babes appear.
RIP Dusty
The first girl out of the car is
JEANA TOMASINO
When this song first came out when I was in my teens, my eyes were glued to the girls. Today, my eyes are glued to the car.
Yeah, yeah... I know what a pretty girl looks like. Even been fortunate enough to shared a bed with one or two. But a '33 Ford with a stacked SBC 350 shoehorned under the hood? That'll get my motor running faster than an ex-wife can say "alimony".
It's a middle aged thing.
That was my era- I kind of miss my big hair now, lol!
lol
Man, I love ZZ Top, and I get that this video was supposed to be fun, but I think it's cheezy and it makes us white folks look like we really can't dance! Haha!
😂😂😂😂😂
If you enjoy the side to side guitar movement wait till you see the spinning fur guitars ! (sorry I forget which video that's in)
lol
DEFINITELY worth checking out! Could you please check out “Fool for your Stockings”...it’s on the Deguello album (which is also worth listening to)...Enjoy! 🤘🏻🇨🇦
😃🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 Hey Biz
🙌🏿🙌🏿
They took a hiatus for a few years after their great 70s run. When they got going again in the 80s they became a pop band. I never cared for their 80s music.
a pop band?
@@watchbizmatik Yeah. I mean, they were hard blues rock, but they started making top 40 songs. I guess it paid well, but it wasn't as good. They became an MTV band with the gimmick beards and goofy videos. Sure, they still played solid music, but it just wasn't as good.
Jesus just left Chicago. Waiting for the Bus. Cheap Sunglasses. La Grange. Manic Mechanic. Tube Steak Boogie.
I like 70's ZZ the best. Oh damn, hey BizMatik, how ya doin brah ?
Anyways, check out a song called Nasty Dogs & Funky Kings
Short and Sweet and a great introduction to the band. ☮
im good fam, 👌🏾👌🏾
This the last in the trilogy. The first is gimme all loving,,where we are introduced to the ZZ top girls, and the iconic ZZ 32? Ford.Seconds is legs where the boy gets the girl with a little help from the ZZ TOP and the ZZ top girls.
The third is Sharp dressed man.,rip to Galyn Gorg the dancer in the video. Maybe a "double shot" would be sweet to react to.!🇨🇦🙏😷
😥🇨🇦
😷🇨🇦
Thanks for reacting to a lot of my generation of music arena rock seen 7 times I have a scrap book with 278 ticket stubs in it over 200 hundred of them from market square arena this is in Indianapolis were the Pacers use to play before it was torn down after the new bankers field house was built which I worked on 37 yrs in the bricklayers local 4 worked on some cool projects in my life retired in 2015 the indy 500 hundred track multiple times the new colts an the old colts stadium or as I'll always call it the Hoosier dome I hate how it's come to changing the name everytime some corporation pays to have there name on the side I'll always call it by its original name sorry I got off point the last concert in market square was zz to with lynnard skynyrd was great
Jesus just Left Chicago a must!!?
They still play
all those women are in their late fifties and early sixties now.
Try an older ZZ Top song ,this one is more of the blues "blue Jean blues"
LOL!!! It is the 80s. Songs that were released before the 80s didn't have videos as a routine. Some had promotional videos made, but by and large song videos were a product of the 80s and after.
La Grange please
This song is from there album Eliminator commercially there most know album biggest selling album due to the popularity of mtv.. My opinion there earlier stuff is much better. That being said.. Billy Dusty and Frank endured 50+ years together till Dustys recent passing there are not to many bands that hold that honor.
Been around with the same lineup for 50 years with a VERY deep reserve of great songs. Lately, I've been digging on "Gotsa Get Paid" from 2012 that is a reworking of a hip-hop song by DJ DMD called "25 Lighters." ruclips.net/video/kaIZWjItReI/видео.html
Actually 2 dudes with beards. the drummer doesn't have a beard although ironically his last name is beard, lol
Where else can a guy hook up with a room full of women and walk away looking good and with the one he showed up for! PEACE!!!!
Unpopular opinion: I didn’t really care for ZZ Top in the 80s, kinda pop. I loved em back in the 70s w LaGrange and Waiting the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago. *ducks, covers head*
Dope personality, Great Content, would love to see your reaction to one of my music videos
Check out Legs and Gimmie all you loving
1983 so if they were 20 years old Then and I have no idea what their ages they be 58 now
@Aqua Lung I was talking about the young ladies because he was saying I wonder how old they are now
3 crazy people didn’t like this lol. 😳
Dive.
Frank beard drummer don't have a beard only ones have beards dusty Hill bass player
Billy gibbons lead singer n guitar
Videos can distract from the music. 🤔😉
sometimes yeah the can
@@watchbizmatik A lot of reactors watch the official video for Rooster (Alice in Chains), for instance. It features Vietnam War re-enaction, and while that's what the song is about, my opinion is that a person gets affected by the onscreen tension and violence and they aren't really reacting just to the music at that point. It becomes more like a soundtrack than a hit song. A lot of people aren't bothered by that, but if you're trying to evaluate the music, I think it helps to separate audio from visual, at least in some circumstances.
