Saw them in concert TWICE! The recycler and double back tours respectively…both of them were 🔥🔥!

This girl is crazy about a sharp dressed man. ZZ Top is Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, & Frank Beard. BTW, Frank Beard is the one without the beard. I was lucky enough to see them in concert twice. They put on an awesome show. They started in 1969 & performed together until Dusty Hill's death in 2021. Check out "CHEAP SUNGLASSES", "LA GRANGE", "I'M BAD I'M NATIONWIDE", "TUSH".

These little mini-movies from ZZ Top are rewatchable forever! There's always the nice guy or girl being pushed around by jerks. Lots of fun. There's another: LEGS.
Back in the 80's, this was the loudest concert I've ever been to. Dayton (Ohio) Hara Arena. Our seats were straight in front of the stage, toward the very top. That sound hit you from the left, right and straightforward. We screamed at each other on the way home. Just to hear each other.

Hey Babe...saw them live on the Afterburner Tour. 10th row Center seats. They were awesome and amazing! Sound just as great live as to they do on recordings. They had the crowd on fire. God Bless ZZTop and RIP DUSTY!😍

Love ZZ Top. My first concert. Slipped away from my parents and snuck into it at the Tennessee State Fair. It was so cool even if I did get my hyde tanned good. It was worth it.
Something that took place back in the 80s in TX was for bands based out of TX would play small bars. No advertising. If you just happened to be in the right bar on the right night. I saw both ZZ Top and Willie Nelson this way. I hope TX bands are still doing this to carry on the tradition.
Three-man group. Unrelated, except as Texans. They do have the benefit of having played together longer than any other band in history without a membership change until, sadly, Dusty Hill, the bassist passed away. (Short man - well, shorter than Billy - long beard.) It's amazing what a glorious noise three guys can produce, is it not?
They deserve a lotta respect for holding that record 😍

I live in Houston and Dusty's death hit me hard like Bum Phillips. Stevie Ray too. Even Jimi Hendricks said Billy Gibbons had the best guitar tone he ever heard. The best little band in Texas.

The members of ZZ Top are not related...they just met and clicked after guitarist Billy F. Gibbons wanted to form a Texas rock n' roll trio around 1969/ '70... he had toured as a teenager, opening for Jimi Hendrix, and the legendary guitarist was very impressed w/ Gibbons' skills on guitar.
Billy Gibbons auditioned a number of Texas musicians and hired Frank Beard on drums... soon after that, bassist Dusty Hill auditioned, and that was it. ZZ Top's first album was released in 1971 just after Jimi Hendrix had passed away in 1970...
In the 70's, ZZ Top built a solid fanbase & scored hits like 'La grange' and 'Tush'... By 1977, a weary Frank Beard entered rehab to deal w/ his drug issues... and the band refused to replace him. When Beard returned to ZZ Top in 1979, he was the only member without a beard! 🤣
Both Gibbons and Hill stopped shaving since the band stopped touring in 1977, and grew enormous beards by 1979... People (I'm guessing) told them that they looked very striking w/ those twin beards, so they decided to keep them. That became ZZ Top's calling card - 2 guys w/ beards and a guy named Beard 🤣
Bassist Dusty Hill passed away in 2021 (R.I.P.)... a roadie has been playing bass on tour for ZZ Top.

I think I was maybe 7-8 years old and my favorite older cousin Mike who was 7 years older then me gave me a ZZTop T Shirt that he had gotten at a recent concert at that time, and if he liked them I knew I had to listen and I wars hooked on them as soon as I listened to the first song, for a 3 man band they were crazy good, so I’ve been a fan for 45 years now, where’d the time go? Do as much as you can while your young and able bodied cause time goes by so fast before you know your one of the “Old guys”.

I saw them in concert awhile now.It was great they sound great in concert.Then I saw them up close and personal where I worded.I didn't know I was talking to drummer and got a picture signed .
