I’ve been watching Elwood since he started. I think he’s starting to come out of his shell. What a good thing to see. Thank you Dusty for the years spent, thank you Elwood for stepping up, thank you to Billy and Frank for staying. I love you guys!
Amen to that, Sir. I've been a fan since the Rio Grande Mud album was released and LOVE to hear the oldies like Just Got Paid and Brown Sugar...Classics are just that, CLASSIC.
Billy still sounds the same, if not better. I don’t know how he still sounds so great considering all the raspy singing over the years and age. Some people just don’t lose it. After all he is Billy Fuckin’ Gibbons. The king.
Underrated by who? why would you even say that, hes sang, or helped sing a dozen hit songs in the last 50 years, even scores of great songs that werent hits. Hes been world famous for half a century, bro you just arent understanding.
@@picassoboy52 I disagree: he has never achieved the same iconic well known household name status that others in that industry have.....doesn't take away from how great he is, just how it is....
@@picassoboy52 True, but the fact remains that nobody ever talks about his voice. His guitar playing is the only thing ever mentioned referencing his name.
To be able to sing LEGS THAT GOOD AT THAT AGE IS REMARKABLE! THAT BASS SOUNDS AWESOME AS WELL, ELWOOD IS DOING A GREAT JOB!! YEAH WE ALL MISS DUSTY, BUT THE SHOW MUST GO ON! KEEP ON ROCKIN ZZ TOP!! IT'S IN YOUR BLOOD!! a lot of bands have lost members and kept on ROCKIN!! No need for these fellas to quit what they LOVE DOING!! SO ROCK ON ZZ ROCK ON!! AMEN!!

Hell Yeah! I’m 42 and ZZ Top has always been on my concert bucket list. They’re playing close to me Tuesday, 9/27/22 and I am going! I didn’t know if I would once Dusty passed. That video proves to me I would be missing a good show.
When was in high school I got a job in a hospital kitchen. It was 1977. I hooked up with some older guys who taught me what beer was. They also introduced me to ZZ Top. They took me to a liquor store that would cash our paychecks. You can guess what songs we listened to.
That 'Every girl's crazy 'bout the sharp dressed man'-chorus gave me the biggest smile of joy since a long time. Being bipolar, it is sometimes hard to find something to get me out of the downwards moods, but this raw rock energy is one of the things that helps bigtime. I have to confess that there is one thing I still have to get used at with Elwoods replacement: he seems to be just the same height as Billy , but apart from that, his energy and musicianship makes him a worthy new member. Keep on rolling, lads!
J'adore ZZ TOP depuis pas mal d'années maintenant, leur musique m'encense, leur look me ravit, ils sont uniques, ce sont mes frères de coeur rock'n'roll.........Pacifiques, Cools, avec une puissance musicale que j'adore........
It's great to see that Little Old Band From Texas still cranking 'em out. Elwood is really fitting in. Love the double neck guitar. The Reverend Billy still has the smokin' licks, and Frank just keeps pounding the skins. Kudos to Valentine A...the bass response on your phone is amazing. Didn't expect that.
Oldies, but goldies ... I heard them in the early 2010's (sorry, I don't know the exact expression in english ...) in Paris. A disaster, I left the concert and I was not alone to do so ... This record shows some sort of a resurection of those hard rock players (I don't mean they play hard rock, but that they are hard "rock workers" indeed!); Real "suddist rock" sound, source of so much animal pleasure. Thank you for sharing this pearl!
@@Rosbergen80 Sorry for delay, I don't have warnings on RUclips .... I lleft the concert because sound was poor, and because they obviously weren't happy to play. They seemed to only be doing the job. And it wasn't pleasant to see/hear!
ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons said the Texas trio feels "somewhat new as a band" with the addition of longtime guitar tech Elwood Francis, who took over for bassist Dusty Hill following his death last July.
Gibbons vous êtes ADORABLE, UNE STAR LEGENDAIRE AVEC UN TALENT EXTRAORDINAIRE, j'adore votre style musical & vestimentaire.......COOL yes it's funny for me
absolutely love the 1 mobile camera perfectly capturing the ACTUAL , unfolding show ( no editing or mixing or overdubs or anything like it)- em, strange to see empty seats @ 7;43
Still going and still good. I 100% behind them still playing on. I saw ZZ Top on Eliminator Tour. I think it was 1984. Zebra opened. They blew me away. I met Dusty that night after the show. Mostly small talk but he seemed like a nice man. Saw them again around '04 or '05. Good show but much different from the '84 show.
Elwood said in an interview Billy doesn't use in ear monitors. In fact they only have a couple of side fills on the stage as he prefers to listen to the foh sound for his feel.

I heard BILLY SAY ONE TIME,,"YOU CAN'T PLEASE EVERYONE" AND THAT'S 100% TRUE!! like all of you out there still BALLING ABOUT DUSTY BEING GONE AND IT JUST ISN'T THE SAME ETC. well to me it SOUNDS JUST AS GOOD NOW AS IT EVER HAS!! and thank goodness and God that BILLY AND FRANK DECIDED TO KEEP ON ROCKING THE ZZ TRAIN!! yes it's kinda odd not seeing Dusty up there as we have for all these YEARS,,but dusty was HUMAN JUST LIKE US ALL AND HIS POOR BODY JUST GIVE OUT!! IF YOU'RE A TRUE ZZ TOP FAN,THEN YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL THAT THE BAND IS STILL MOVING ON DOWN THE LINE!! I saw ZZ Top headline Monsters of Rock at Donington in 1985 which was when I first heard Legs and Sharp Dressed Man live. It was so sad to hear of Dusty Hill's passing that I thought they would have to retire (especially given that they're no spring chickens). Glad to see the band is still going although I think Elwood could try to fit in more with the band's established image
Just went to my first ZZ Top concert in Greensboro NC. They put on a Hell of a show. Hate that Dusty Not around anymore, but Elwood really fits in with Billy and Frank.

Way to go, Elwood! 👍🏻 Dusty is smiling and nodding 🙏🏻
I saw the group perform in 1983 on the "Eliminator" tour. Unforgettable show!
The swagger of Hill and Gibbons together was the magic of ZZTop

You're spot-on on the sounding of his bass. It was truly remarkable! I got better sound playing this video in my car
Sounds like it's in the original key too. Billy's a national treasure!
The Boogiegods
I love ZZ Top, but the reason those vocals on Legs sound so good are because they are not sung live.
@@MysticRobC5 ive heard that before and u can tell if u look closely on the live dvd.
I know they are nearing the end but this is just amazing in their 70s still putting this out and sounding so good in 2022.
