The World has lost one of the coolest and most legendary Bass Players of all time R.I.P. Dusty Hill 1949-2021
Prostě umí -zztop
he wasn't that good
Dusty Hill put his life into this 🔥 Little Old Band from Texas
Legendary because he's been in the same band for 50 years?
Billy is wearing a baseball cap over his African hat, the baseball cap is wearing a pair of sunglasses, and Billy is also wearing a pair of sunglasses. Don’t try this if you are not Billy..
drockkclapton 😂😂😂
He is wearing goggles for rideing in the wind and sunglass for the cool effect on stage iim thinking,
gizmo atplay he wears the glasses because his lyme disease makes his eyes sensitive or so I’ve heard.
You beat me to it (by two full years, because I just found this tonight) but I was gonna say that The Reverend Willy G is the only cat who can wear sunglasses while having goggles on his head and still be cooler than an iceberg... 😎
...Dusty's doin ok doin the Billy
ZZ Top never gets old , Just better- ages like fine wine
Oh yeah, Rio Grande Mud classic song... Heavy southern rock... 🔥
👍🏻
Nah, don't tie them in with those Confederate flag flying P.O.S. bands. ZZ Top is Texas blues.
@@echoeman GFY
@@echoeman You could not be more right.
Frank always makes drumming look so effortless!
i saw them live from the front row . he played with his eyes closed most of the time.
If you've been doing it for 50 plus years I'd think it would be effortless.
One of the greatest band to ever play rock and roll.
Love how relaxed the drummer is, too cool!
I remember this year they were on tour with brooks and dun in Charlotte NC. Brooks and dun were the headliners and came out on stage and announced there was no way under gods green earth that they had any right to headline a show with zztop then proceed to open up for them instead of head line the night. I'm proud to say I got to see them receive the respect they deserve.
Guitar Dood man that's one hellavu story! Now those guys are the damned epitome of class! I've always been a huge B.n D. Fan I'm certain that the Lil Ole band from Texas was very humbled by that. Man I love that story
Same thing in Vancouver bc.
And they blew b&d off the stage
That's the coolest thing I have heard in a long time G. Dood, I can't say I know very much about Brooks and dun but they just gained my respect - something Zz have had since the very day I was born
Guitar Dood that’s good to hear because they deserve that respect, great story!
@@mikeseaquest9246 doubt that. Its a different kind of music so its a matter of taste. I like both bands and I've seen B&D more than once. Most to ever win duo of the year. Won every year between 1992 and 2006 except for 2000.
Wow! Top shelf slide and rythem guitar mr Gibbons! That goldtop is just screaming, crying and moaning the blues under your command! , and u make it look so easy . Nobody even comes close to that kind of mojo on guitar! You are one of the all time greats , and as a guitar player myself this is one of favorite top tunes! Dusty and frank (God rest his soul), are one of the tightest rythem sections ever! Nobody out tops the top! Love you guys, keep rockin gents! God bless!
one of the best 3 piece bands ever......
bluedaddy23 absolutely!
Zz TOP for ever
ZZ Top and Rush no one ☝🏾 comes close to those 2 awesome 😎 bands
Amen!
@@miketaylor8510 Along with Jimi Hendrix Experience.
That drum set is simply awesome.
EXCELLENT SOLO
like a really master of the slide
great job Billy!!
That guitar tone ... Man ... love it ...
as a lifelong fan of zzt .i finally saw them live 2013. although they were a little rusty and slow to start.(considering 45 or so years going) once they hit their groove, nothing or no one could come close to the pure energy and finesse.
Man, that guitar tone is heavenly.
A lot is in the fingers.
RIP Mr Dusty et berces mes étoiles !
Still kicks my ass after all these years...LOVE IT
When I was growing up, me and all my musician snob buddy’s were all into Rush, Yes, Genesis and the like. I was never into this kind of music but for some reason always loved these guys. Can’t explain it but they are great.
IT's called having an open mind and discerning ears!
Best version of my personal favourite to both listen to an play
I heard that Billy was Jimmy Hendrix favorite guitar player. He makes it sing and sing. Love him. Never got to see him. Bucket list. My husband loved them too.God bless ZZTop
Susan NC I heard that too, that Hendrix said that, what a compliment. I saw them once in the 80s, one of the most fun shows I’ve ever seen. Gonna see them again in October for their 50th anniversary tour, already bought my tickets, can’t wait!
2 dates in NC coming up in Oct.
And still playing the same 3 chords after 50 years! Unreal!!!👍👍👍👍
And many of their songs old black blues songs with ZZ Twist!
This drummers meter is as solid as it gets ....like a ROCK !

There's a few better, Rush ACDC and Metallica. But their good.
Loving my old rock and roll days.
GREAT JOB, NICE CLOSE UPS, LOVE THE SLIDE
Yes lost onto of the base players in the world. Good old Dusty. I got to see ZZ TOP twice. Once in Houston TX on their World Wide Tour in the late 70s and one in 2020 in ST Louis out doors. Both concerts were awesome.
Nice to see Billy using a guitar pick with the glass slide. I've always preferred a pick to the fingers when playing slide.
Oh have ya now dare
Great song to start friday morning with.
Right . I just got paid so I thought I'd play it .
It's like that would be , FUC-up to have to be get paid on Saturday morning man it's really Fuck up
It’s Friday in Melbourne, pretty cold and grey outside and I’m watching. Feels great 🎸🤘🇦🇺🦘
Good to know you're rockin' down yonder. Never stop!!
ZZ Top was before it’s time with rocking the snowboarding 🏂 goggles
god i love that Gibson LP!!!
I think it's funny how franks channeling that modern metal look with the headset and the gloves yet he's in his 60s and a bluesy hard rock drummer lol he's so cool
Awesome Top performance ... as usual! Thank you for posting & sharing. I do not think anyone can "top ( pardon the pun) Billy's slide work ! :)
Frank Beard is an amazing drummer!
nice
+Carlos Shelton Best rhythm section in rock. But Frank always looks like he's ready to retire. Like, "If I have to play this one more freakin' time...."
+Jack D. Ripper That happens when you spend your career laying down the same beats.. but I sure as Hell bet the cheques are welcome and there are no complaints when the money spends ;)
+Jack D. Ripper yeah he looks like a Robot sometimes lol
I saw them last year there just musicians not entertainers,
Frank Beardless
What a legend! One of a kind!
these Guys are killing it
Good classic rock sound) Good job)
Only saw ZZ Top one time, 30 December 1982, Tucson, Arizona.

I like this a lot!
Oh Man!!!! What a hell of a Drumset and yalls Drummer is in perfect groove!!!! Wow!!! AWESOME Guitar Playing!!!
ZZ. Makes. My day
I could never be a rock star. I strap my guitar a lot higher than that.
Yeah. I learned sitting down and like the instrument about the same place.
Come on pal, had you ever look at Tom Morello ? He straps it right under the shoulder ;)
Théo Hostaléry I just checked him out. Yep that's about where I like mine. It helps my wrist a lot.
Jeff Beck wears his up high.....And looks cool doin' it !
"...Just one guitar, slung way down low..."
such a cool tune!
If anybody is wondering what the "F" in Billy F. Gibbons stands for, he says "it stands for Texas baby!"
Fantastic the Best show. ...
Like a surfer they catch a good wave and ride it home with every song.

thanks you a wanderful
One of the greatest Texas blues band ever in the US Stevie Rays Band follows!
I think my speakers have just melted
Certain that every one of the sarcastic naysayers below can't hold a candle to Billy Gibbons guitar and slide playing here in this performance, but you think you are qualified to tear it down, lol...SURE it may not be the same as it was when they were 20 or 30 years younger...but what's awesome is they are still playing and pretty well at that, and for some of you they are old enough to be your GREAT GRANDPARENTS! I play professionally, pretty much every weekend, and I watch this and am able to learn all kinds of new things to use as a guitar player. One other thing, keep in mind they aren't heavily sequencing their act and overproducing it like a lot of big names, which is to their credit. This is the real thing, and for their age, it is a Classic Rock American treasure, so many of you need to shut the F up.
conniebryan nobody on this thread could even dream to sound like Willy G! Play better? Lmfao! Good luck!
Billy's playing (along with the rest of the band) was flawless. No question about it. The song just seemed to lack energy, which is probably because they are getting older and have played the song live literally thousands of times (so it's probably like, "Just Got Paid again!!?? REALLY!?!?")
I seen them about 11 years ago in a Casino, which Billy joked about. They were great... I learned to never judge sound quality by recordings or unauthorized releases, especially on a computer...
conniebryan absolutely!
Amen Jimmy Hendrix, fucking respected the mans guitar work, and is documented
