I took my future wife to the movies to watch this, it was our second date. We were married for thirty years before she passed away. We collected around 1500 movies over the years and must have watched this and Jewel of the Nile a good hundred times. Thanks for watching this it brought back a lot of good memories
Turner and Douglas have great chemistry. They also star in The War of the Roses, which is quite an entertaining movie.
I watched this movie SOOOOO many times. Of course that was before Netflix, where you owned maybe 20 vhs tapes and rewatched the same ones many times, but I still enjoyed watching it over and over.
That line about the American Express Travelers Checks was an homage to the wonderful actor, Karl Malden, Michael Douglas's former co-star in the show that gave Michael his start, "The Streets of San Francisco". Karl was a spokesperson for Amex Travelers Checks for years. It got a lot of laughs when this first came out; today almost no one under the age of 40 would get the reference.
It's awesome because Michael Douglas worked with Karl Malden, who did commercials for American Express.
This wasn't Alan Silvestri's first score, but it was the one that made me watch for the composer's credit the next time I watched it. It was clear that Silvestri was going to hit the big time even back then--I just didn't know what a legend he would become.
My family loves this movie. So much so that, a few years ago, when my parents bought an electric cart for their ranch they named it Pepe and even put a Mule sticker on it.
i cannot believe someone was finally willing to react to this movie. One of my teachers made us watch this in school once and ive loved it ever since. You guys are awesome for this.
1. "War of the Roses" with Kathleen, Danny, and Michael is an awesome film, but it's much darker.
This is a CLASSIC 80s adventure romance. And honestly, Douglas, Divito, and Turner gave Amazing performances! And the fact that there is a sequel. I would personally LOVE to see more sequels, since she was a fiction writer. The parody adventures are practically endless!
I love when the Mrs laughs! Impossible not to laugh too!
This is one of those movies that I watched so much when I was really little, everything about it makes me feel 6 years old. Love it.
Jack T. Colton's intro with that sawed off shotgun was the greatest hero reveal since Indiana Jones in Raiders.
Probably haven't seen this movie since I was 6 or 7, one of the first things my dad recorded on the VHS he was finally able to afford. Insane that a new VHS player in 1980 was the equivalent to $2000 in todays money :) Can comfortably say that I don't remember a single thing other than them sliding down a mountain.
One of my all time favorites. I watched this so many times as a kid. One day I noticed in the credits that the lady who smacked DeVito around for being under her table was cast as Hefty Woman. Still cracks me up decades later.
This is a damn good Michael Douglas movie one of my favorites. Yall should check out Falling Down one of the best Michael Douglas performances. Keep up the great work 👍 👏
"All it took was a pickle tickle" OMG I laughed SO HARD at that line!!! I've never heard it before!! Great job Mrs!! lol!! Now back to watching the rest of this video. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. for watching this great 80's movie!
One of my big favourites as a kid, this movie is just way up there among the best!
This was the first vhs I ever rented from a video rental store probably around 1986. At some point I must’ve recorded it off the tv because I remember watching it a lot when I was a kid. I loved it!
One of the best 80’s films. Action, adventure, comedy, romance. I miss this era of Hollywood.
