Likt every time I play an RPG or some such and think, "this time I'm going to be a gloriously evil asshole!". And then just fold completely at the first relevant story choice. I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing.

I think Connor being an antagonist towards the deviants makes a lot more sense in the story. Connor makes a great antagonist too because the calm delivery of everything he says and how he remains cool and calculated through everything makes him so sinister. If Detroit become human was a movie I could definitely see him as a main antagonist

Such a love/hate relationship with this game. The visuals and cinematic feel is top notch but the story has more holes than Swiss cheese. Honestly, the one thing universal is that Connor and Hank are just the best no matter what you do.

@@Whispersmith646 Connor becoming deviant is good path? that is just your human emotional perspective that soils your judgement. Android should behave like a android not a human wannabe. Emotions are for the weak (all of this is coming from me that never played the game but i seen the proper Connor path on yt [there is a few hour playthrough of just this path]). Besides if Connor becomes defective then you do not have a real threat to the other defective androids and any story without strife is bland.

So stoked for this. Currently playing this game and experimenting with really wild stuff I'd never do normally and I love seeing how the game turns out.
I LOVED seeing all the endings the game had to offer, it's a shame it wasn't easier to replay the game because of the terrible checkpoint system!!! I would love to replay from a specific point in a really long chapter, especially the Crossroads chapter, but it makes you start from the very beginning and it's all just very tedious. I ended up looking up walkthroughs to see all the endings there.
Yh man me too saw this and decided to play it. Loved every second of the game. May have gone for a pacifist ending, luther was only person to die. kinda annoyed cos it was one before last chapter so didnt get trophy.

I remember playing this game and getting in the situation where Connor shot Danny.
When you really think about it, this game is SO detailed
I remember in my first playthrough I accidentally let kara die at the Start because I actually listened to the owner for kara to wait
And It took me a few hours of game play to realise I was supposed to be playing as her at some point

yeah, the intro segment of this game is really good imo, it tells you so much about the setting and provides a range of choices that lead up to the confrontation ending in different ways, none of which feel like a purely positive outcome. It also has a lot of shock value due to the player not understanding how androids work in the setting yet, like connor getting shot immediately upon exiting to the balcony or dying in a good chunk of the endings. if more of the game followed smaller scale self contained scenarios like that I think it'd be better for it.

I appreciated the dolphin vocal on Hank's censor considering that's Mr. Krabs you're solving crimes with. Very nice plug.

As connor, i made sure the mission was accomplished cuz i figured his programming is especially done to not be attached to anything. As marcus, i was very pacifist and made reasonable demands and actions. As kara, i was kind. Kara died when she gave the family their ticket back, marcus died at the hands of connor and connor, as always, accomplished his mission.
When you give the ticket back you can find rose somewhere in the area and escape via the river.

Yep this is how I played my first time as well. I played Connor as the firm but fair android who does his mission and tries to survive, and although I got close to going deviant it wasn't quite enough. For example I shot the girl at the night club fearing for Connor's life, didn't save Hank at the farm, shot the android at Kamskis etc. What's unfortunate is that you only really get rewarded with a satisfying story if you play Connor as a straight up human, which for me broke the immersion a bit. And Kara I played like you, but at the bus station I didn't discover the Rose car exit and instead accidentally ran into a patrol and died :(
I love this - I always love seeing these kinds of playthroughs with these kinds of games. Most people too busy trying to do the exactly perfect, ideal, 100% pure good ending.
Nice to see this type of run. Honestly, these kinds of runs are more likely what would happen IRL than everyone being able to talk it out and perfectly understand.

in this we can see the real depths to which kevduit dedicated himself to his role as a psychopath, as it was neither barbeque sauce or even mayonaisse that he sought, but ketchup: the red-like-blood condiment considered to have direct ties to the devil himself! this, people, is true commitment.
I am impressed with Kevduit's salesmanship. I watched this and then immediately bought Detroit: Become Human so I could be more like him.

However, since you didn’t bring the android worker with you in the spare parts (Markus) chapter. You did not have the option Kill the 2 guards guarding the gate, or get the android worker killed by the dogs from failing to steal the truck. You looked like a tamed psychopath to me.

Glad to see D:BH getting some love. Just like its predecessors (especially Heavy Rain) it's an exceptionally weird and awkward game, and it veers between incredible and silly almost at random. I really enjoyed it, and I can't wait to see more.
