Not scapegoating anyone, not sneaking across the border and getting gunned down by the military, just walking up to the border guard and saying "We just want to be free" and after the guy sees the peaceful protest on the news, he lets all three of them through without alerting the armed soldiers.
Actually he allows them to go due to markus's playthrough being peaceful which allowed the border guard to think that Androids are not bad and makes a positive opinion but if you play violently get bad public opinion in Markus playthrough then the guard will hand you to the security giving a bad ending

Nothing made me cry as hard in this video as Hank pulling in Connor for a hug did. Thinking about what their lives will be like brings me so much joy. Hank has moved on from Cole, and Connor is like a son to him now.
It took me a while to realize the only way to tell which one is the real connor is by how genuine their words are, the real one says it with emotion while the other one would just say the things he saw to complete his objective
It seems like most androids know the temperature, but don't feel it. Alice was designed to complain about cold or hot weather or to enjoy it in order to tug at her parents' heartstrings. Most androids are designed to inform about the weather.
@@aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa790 Actually *feeling* the temperature doesn't apply to non-child androids. Connor doesn't feel cold. He's cold in the Zen Garden because it's a place within his mind. It's not real, and therefore he can experience things he can't experience in the real world, like feeling cold. It's also symbolic; the closer he comes to having his free will taken over by CyberLife, the weaker and colder he becomes, until he's unable to do anything but lay in the snow, frozen to death. If you don't find the exit, the real Connor, the one with free will, dies.
I'd love to have a short sequel to it to see how 'the big three' are doing. Seeing Kara and Luther being real parents for Alice, living the life they dreamed of together. Markus taking care of the androids back in Detroit. And Connor having a real bonding life with Hank, in a father-son like life. And even having all of them meeting again eventually as a full, satisfying ending. No drama. Just peace. For everyone. I'd love that.
So... the army has no problem mowing down innocent androids screaming "please don't kill me", but 2 androids kissing? "oh man, they have feelings too! Now we can't kill them!"
That act is very human; they know they're about to be gunned down. Its an act of resignation and love, whereas up to this point it could largely be dismissed as self preservation of faulty programs.
Kim Jonsson also the Detroit police and soldiers are not even trained because in the beginning of the game when you play Connor’s first mission the police who died in the house not on the terrace, could have head shot Daniel but he shot in the shoulder, and when in crossroads when Markus was gonna set the bomb off the first soldier that came in could have just shot Markus, but then three other armed and armored men came in but they didn’t even stand a chance against Markus.
I got this ending. And I think so many things about it is beautiful. Like Hank realizes that they both know the same information. So he asks questions designed to draw up emotions. And chooses not based on words, but the feelings behind them. An extra nice touch when the fake goes "I knew that too, I would've said the exact same thing" because nobody capable of actual empathy would respond to a story that way. Then in Kara's story, she's allowed through because of the PEACEFUL protest led by Markus, and the goodness capable in people. He looks up and sees how Peaceful the androids are being (even when the response to them is extreme violence) and thinks "yes I have a decision to make on whether I help beings capable of good like that or if I condemn them to destruction for the simple act of being" and makes a good decision Followed by the kiss seen around the world. The thing that stops the violence against the androids is a showing of love that is one of the strongest signs of humanity and real life there could be. With so much of the human populations support, the government literally cannot kill them without making their own people get angry at them and losing that much support. Also I really hate Amanda. I've seen some of the other endings. Even if Conner succeeds his mission and remains a machine she just tells him "good job you're obsolete though now so prepare for decommission"
@@ohhellwhereami2574 no I guess there's one instance in which hank still kills the machine Connor and says something like he learnt a lot about Connor since they met...
Honestly, this was the most beautiful game I've ever had the pleasure to hyperfixate on. The graphics and character models are absolutely stunning, and the emotion they have just by body language is incredible for a 3D model. It isn't at all easy to pull something off like this, with the motion tracking suits, camera style, soundtrack, everything. The most beautiful aspect of this game is the story it tells, though. It tells an incredible story of a mistreated kind fighting for understanding and equality. The way the story revolves around your choices, too, creates a real feeling to it. In a lot of games, what you say doesn't matter like it does here. It increases or decreases your likeability, unlocking dialogue that could be life or death. Someone literally had to sit there and create the ideas for what the future could be, and experiment with all these ideas. If you haven't seen the videos of them making the game, I highly recommend checking it out. It really makes you think about the process of building this masterpiece.

I’m not afraid of robots becoming sentient. I’m afraid of humans not being able to change our behavior before robots become sentient and seeing how awful we really are to eachother.
The problem with sentient robots is that ATM we, humans, are at the top of the foodchain. But sentient robot would overtake us in an instant. And at same point, somebody, somewhere is gonna do something stupid and a war will break out. We humans can't even live peaceful with each other and the idea that somebody stands above us, like literally and not like an ideology of any kind of god, in the heirarchy will eather break us into submission or rebellion. There is no peaceful seeing eye to eye living possible. Well, its just my thinking of humankind and maybe i'm wrong.

Me neither I cried when I watched that scene firstly it was because of they actually got to Canada where I am, they are actually safe after all they went through it was the most emotional thing I have ever gone through
When fake Connor said "Give me the gun and i'll take care of him." that should have been a dead give away. Why not let Hank shoot the other Connor? Why does he want the gun himself? So he can stay in control of Hank after real Connor is dead.
Why would he need to stay in control of Hank? Hank can't awaken the other androids. When Connor is disabled, his mission is done. And that's basically what happens if Hank shoots the wrong Connor: the clone says it doesn't matter if Hank kills him now, as well, because he succeeded in his mission.
It's definitely the emotional zenith of the story imo. Something about it is so somber but also heart warming. That's how I'd describe the entire game tbh.
@@Jaydoff I wonder if this implies that Connor chose to stay with Hank for the remainder of hank's life.. not sure if as partners... or conner being like a son in hank's eyes
You can tell which one is the real Connor because you can visibly see him he uncomfortable and nervous. The fake Connor, since he’s still a ‘machine’, can not replicate emotions because of his state.
i like to think that after the speech connor just goes up to him and says “ yeah btw i almost killed you up there but i resisted so it’s all good” as markus just stares at him concerned

Gamers Unite I legit thought I killed Connor when I found the deviant inside the cafeteria of the Broadcast station and he fled and he trying to shoot people and I chose to save Hank.
I particularly love the subtle body language at #2:58. Hank slowly starts to lower his gun not when Connor says his son's name, but rather when Connor shows empathy and tells him "it wasn't your fault". That moment he realizes both that that's the Connor he's been working with and "there really may be more to androids".

XMAN THEMAN hahahahaha
For me i think both the last of us and detroit become human are the best at character development and etc just my opinion : ]
It’s a nice touch that in the end due to him “becoming human” Connor finally felt the cold when he didn’t before.
Dont they have a temperature function? Atleast Alice has one
Sefa Tekeli I’m unsure. Connor seemed like he had bigger problems than temperature. It was interesting how they put in him wincing to the weather.

No drama.
Just peace.

I'm going to cry I'm going to hope this is forever It's going to be so cute❤.
The big three: Roosevelt, Stalin and Churchill
Wait so would the United States collapse? Or would the androids under the 13th amendment just be declared American citizens
So... the army has no problem mowing down innocent androids screaming "please don't kill me", but 2 androids kissing? "oh man, they have feelings too! Now we can't kill them!"
"Androids are like demons; They are mortally challenged "
That act is very human; they know they're about to be gunned down. Its an act of resignation and love, whereas up to this point it could largely be dismissed as self preservation of faulty programs.

He looks up and sees how Peaceful the androids are being (even when the response to them is extreme violence) and thinks "yes I have a decision to make on whether I help beings capable of good like that or if I condemn them to destruction for the simple act of being" and makes a good decision
Followed by the kiss seen around the world.

Damn 1k likes? I guess I'm likeable now.
connor became the son he wanted and hank the father he needed.
sound familiar doesnt it?
pckuniversal the best bromance in gaming
DaGido LP
It does sounds familiar... Like Anakin and Obi-Wan
DaGido LP boi
pckuniversal yaaaasss
This ending gave me 28 stab wounds in the feelies.
Sad endings to stories are fine and all but goddammit i love feeling happiness and satisfaction over well written fictional characters being able to find a happy ending. feelsgoodman
Haha
Why 28?
Why do you think sad endings are fine?
Wow reference
*Of course Canada is a safe haven.*
A-Ryan eh
No it’s because they dont allow androids there
*The game said it so*
why do Canada always seem to be a good place, like the handmaid's tale and this game, can someone explain this?🤔
Auroramy It is probably because legal bigotry ends here before the state's. We ended slavery before the US and legalized gay marriage before the US. So we are generally painted as peaceful lol.
Auroramy Were just friendly neighbours who generally like to have both sides of the story before we kill anyone. Unless you're a baby seal. Then your fucking dead boii
Shout-out to all my common sense enjoyers who got this ending on their first run and proceeded to make every other run as miserable as possible to see what happens
It would probably be me playing after watching all this video's lol
@@smhwolvi i got the worst ending on purpose on my first run 😭 (though there were some that I genuinely didn't know that I picked wrong)
Just finished my first run through and I also got this ending... With Todd being killed by Kara with the gun, and Markus knocking Leo out cold and Carl living
"I always leave emergency exits in my programs. You never know."
Alt+F4...try it on your classes bruh
Who else is here after finishing this game with ps plus?
me
I just finished it and got the same ending except I crossed the river to Canada and Luther ended up dying. And I chose to sing instead of kissing North
hey!!!
Me but at my game Alice died 😭
I got this ending except hank Luther and north died 😪
Damn what i only wanted to see is connor being happy and free as a deviant and the final scene where hank and him hug was epic he was like a son to hank in the ending. This was a good game 👌🏻
Cuptileageu I CRIEEED
Their is a theory that the android agency made this Connor just for hank to be like Cole but they didn't make him a six year old (like Alice) they made him a adult that way this Connor could save hank if he say got really depressed and suicidal then the Connor could help him but they made it a brand like the rk800 so technically Connors hanks son just a robot boi
actually, hank sees connor as a son. if you do get a bad ending where hawk shoots connor, hawk il literally say " hang in there, son"
i don t want to ruin your dreams but androids can t age and that'd mean hank will die some die. and every other humans. except androids bruh.
That last scene where Hank pulls Connor to embrace is so strong. It's so subtle, and no words are spoken, but so much is said. I absolutely love it
I got such a terrible ending. In my story Hank killed himself, Conor got killed by Markus, I started a war and Kara died for the little girl. I basically killed everyone. I’m about to restart the game to get the good ending cause the one I got was heavy and emotional and shitty.
How the fuck did you manage to kill Kara?
You know, maybe this tells you a lot about yourself as a person. Literally the worst ending for every character happened in your playthrough lol.
The Arvin Guy I let the brothers die, Lucas died, since I decided to raid the facility where the robots are that scared the guy at the terminal and he ratted us out.
Shawn Lewis yea I took some personal feedback myself. I better watch out what I say/do cause it probably won’t end well for others and I don’t want that.
ShadowNinja Gaming but that means that you remained a machine instead of becoming a deviant and you never became a friend to hank
Where did Markus post his painting?
On DeviantArt
*Points to door* Get out right now
I deserved it
Nice
This is why I love this fandom
Maria Inês Mateus do not
23:36 If this didn’t happen post credits, you got a bad ending.
wow, really?
- ıƨαвεʟʟα In my opinion, yes.
hank and connor carried the entire game tbh
I got this but Alice and Luther died :((
