King kong on og xbox ^^. One of the first great movie games. And you ofc you have the semi-movie games, like the jurassic park zoo builders. But you are right movie tie-in games are not good in general.
I think adapatations are ironically enough starting to be the place where good devs are going to, they're a "safe bet" by corporate standards, but because of how the movie/show is it means often devs have to think outside the box in order to do it justice, resulting sometimes in actual good games
I wish that was true more often. Game industry has a LONG history of making very bad video games based off movies…like abysmally bad movie to game adaptations. It’s pretty rare when developers produce a good one.

It submerged itself in the water and emerged next to the babies crib/soundproofed box. Though I wouldn't call that swimming, it wasn't that deep. So I agree with you, I feel like their mass because of their armor and their slender form makes deep water a deathtrap for them, but shallow bodies of water they can still submerge under.
It's a really solid trilogy of films, you should watch them. Great premise, excellent character work from a talented cast and really imaginative set pieces.

The only thing for me is the use of non-diegetic sounds. In a series built on the premise of being mindful of how loud you are, adding dramatic stings of audio cheapens it. I feel it would have been better to only include ambient audio and player made noise.
If they didn't it would be really easy to cheat, Markiplier played a game like that about 10 years ago. (If you made no noise you couldn't be attacked but you didn't know where you were going) Even that white noise dbd game kinda cheats.
After so many stealth games where its on sight, this 100% audio stealth felt really fun. Alien Isolation was fun, but it did become frustrating by the end when they introduced multiple xenomorphs
@@sandornagy3484 yea the normal difficulty was pretty easy. I think that's way the devs recommend Hard & nightmare as the better experience. I went through hell even after getting the flamethrower on Nightmare because the Alien almost never leaves you alone 😂.

How do they have so much electricity, if generators are super f-ing loud, and they'd need several generators running 24/7 to power all that stuff, *AND* gasoline goes bad over time, in the cold, etc, and the logistics of supplying all that fuel to all those gens would be a whole game in its own right. Solar panels make way less sense for many reasons, prolly not as loud as the army of generators...

Maybe they will think of it for the second game if one is planned

This game is really good👌🍷. My only gripe is that the phonometer felt too reliable. Wished it worked on batteries, then you had to "resource manage" your batteries between your flashlight or phonometer. Choosing to either know how much sound you're making, or sacrificing that for your flashlight to see possible sound traps.

The most powerful tool in an apocalypse is yellow paint. Paint the window of a 5+ story building and let the loot rain like moths to a flame.
The yellow paint guy needs a raise, helping gamers worldwide find the interactions and path forward.
