you are amazing , without a doubt your pharma is better than first aid. I memorise it on first aid until my head exploded; it took you only 22 minutes to get me out of my coma.
My teenage daughter has Dysautonomia/Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and your videos have been extremely helpful to me in understanding her condition and the various pharmaceuticals we're using to try to address the symptoms. Thank you!
From sympathetic to parasympathetic, adrenergic vs cholinergic, agonists vs antagonists, alphas and betas, pre and post synaptic, its enough to make your brain swell! Your introductory lecture was very helpful though and I'm anxious to delve into more of them....Please keep lecturing, and thank-you!
I wish I would have found this video before taking any bio courses. I am in the last semester of nursing school, and have never clearly understood the difference between which nervous system was concerned with which receptors & transmitters, and where they were located. I had the basics down, but found differentiating between the two was sometimes confusing. This video was so clear, I can finally say that I GET IT!!! I am so relieved to finally have a firm grasp on such an important, and sometimes confusing, topic. Thank you so much for making this video!
I have sat in my Pharmacology class now for 2 lectures, I have read the chapters over and over. This video FINALLY helped me grasp all of this. Thank you so much!
Dr John -if I'm right, you are awesome, you're a life savor your explaining way is great especially the knowledge challenge that makes the information more clear and practical I hope you continue this series of videos, even more high yield information ones
Thank you so so so so so much.Being a pharmacy student and not having any obsession for the books is real time hard to get on peacefully with my life especially when semesters are on head .. your videos almost saved my exam. Thanks a ton.
fellow pharmacy student here. and yess i am not a book person too. glad i found this video. def helps me to have better understanding on the effect of each receptor
Your videos have been saving me in my pharmacology class! I watch your videos before lectures and then again after I study to make sure I have everything down. My grades are improving a lot and I thank you so much, I know they take a lot of time to make and I can't tell you how thankful I am that you are making these videos.
Very very good bro !!! Is very excited when we read the books and after see a video like yours definitly we can understand one hundred per cent , thank u !!!
Its an awesome lecture for a 2nd semester of medical student like me and most important thing is its not boring because you sir has great sense of humor!!
Thanks heaps Joel - the world needs more people like you! Your generosity in taking the time to help others is amazing. Your lectures are fantastic and have been sharing them with the rest of my study group...
hi, i am a pg student in pharmacology.. your videos are very productive at the same time so simple to understand, i recomend the videos to even the mbbs students.. you make the subject very easy to go through. m realy greatful. thank you.
This is the best execution and format of educational video I have ever seen. Clear, concise explanations given at a good pace with fantastic illustrations/ animation. The application based questions encourage engagement and the way in which you go through each answer option is superb. Please never stop making videos, you are amazing and your videos are too.
I am studying for my USMLEs and I just loooove your videos. Thank you soooo much! I recorded them and I listen to them while I drive or when I work out. I have you with me most of the day lol :)
Great visual mnemonics! I'm a visual learner and this overview gives a great foundation basis to understanding the adrenergic receptors! Thanks and keep the great lectures coming!
Thank you for this session - Doing a non-medical prescribing course in the UK and this has really helped - will be looking at more of your lectures. Keep it up.
I loved the knowledge challenge part..it indeed makes you think..what I feel difficult is the locations..hope someday I would remember them all:$.. thanksalot.
Really loved it, thank you so much for providing this. Your voice is very nice to listen to! Currently studying for some pharmacy exams to move my qualification to another country. It's been over 10 years since I was at pharmacy school learning this stuff first time round. Thanks again for this wonderful resource, checking out the rest of your videos now :)
This was great, I had so much trouble understanding my professor. Good thing human med translates to vet med in this case! The case analysis at the end was super helpful. Thanks!
thanks for this video. It was really easy to understand both verbally and illustrations. I really enjoyed your scenarios at the end as well as your feedback as to why or why not you would pick each medication.
Easily the most helpful video I've seen on this topic so far, and I've seen a fair few now. Those little memory tricks were really handy, I kept using them during the quiz questions. Hoping to see more of that kind of thing in future videos. Thankyou!
Thank you so much for making this video! I just started nursing school and was having a bit of trouble understanding where and how the alpha and beta receptors work. You just cleared the fog tremendously! I look forward to viewing more of your lectures. I got all of the practice questions correct and my thought process was spot on! Can you please come replace my instructor? LOL
God, this is the best video i have ever watched in my whole life. One question, our physiology professor said something really weird, she said that sympathetic stimulation (NE & E) has an inhibitory effect on smooth muscles with both alpha and beta receptors. This seems wrong because there are no inhibitory alpha receptors on smooth muscles, just presynaptic which is alpha 2. Thanks
OMG😍😭💕💕.. thank you sooo much for this video with known challenges at the end ( the NICEST thing! ) . Medical student really need these kind of awesome well-organised videos. thanks again doctor!
You are amazing 👏👏👏👏👏👏 and the knowledge test at the end gives a confidence + you explain all the options.. which is helpful and doesn't create a space for doubt. N yeah ...it would be awesome if you add more questions (like 5 -6 atleast) but overall i am BLESSED that i found a perfect channel.....that is helping me in building my confidence. Love 💕and Respect👍 from 🇮🇳 (india)🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏✌️😊
Thank you. This video helped me so much, I appreciate it. I was having a bad time with the adrenergic receptors but, after this, I did understood. I loved the clinic cases, good job. I'll be waiting for more of your lectures. :)
Hi! I am a P1 and ur videos has helped with the understanding of concepts! I appreciate ur videos and hope maybe u will be opening up a pharmacy section?
I've dreaded this topic for years and I never really understood what goes where, and then you solved it for me in 20 mins. Awesome video!
Bro can you tell me.....that what happens to coronary arteries under sympathetic response (like whether they have more alpha or beta receptors??)
You must be the norepinephrine to my beta-1 adrenergic receptor because you make my heart beat faster. Sorry if that was tachy.
+MN P Hahahaha!!
lol..
hahahha I love the internet
😂😂
😂
Omgosh, thank you for having such a pleasant voice. You cover these topics thoroughly and I am so grateful to have found these lessons!
