Another thing is that there are some drugs that you dont want to use if the person has a heart failure due to the effects on lowering intracellular calcium. I was just wondering. What is the real point and how do class 1b work? If we are decreasing the action potential and therefore refractory period does this not allow the muscle to contract more and therefore increase the rate. How do class 1b treat arrhythmias?

Doc, question about 12:42. If there is scar tissue that blocks the normal path of the depolarizing AP (top ->down), how is it able to come through from the other end (bottom->up) if again its scar tissue resulting in the loop? Much thanks!
