My mom identified this trend almost 5 years ago. But I feel there is also good supply of people … if one walks out new one is ready in a few days. While this replacement is there, older workers will chase more money while newer workers chase the opportunity. Trust can be an issue especially if you leave your house unsupervised.

perfect idea 👏👏👏👍👍👍.....khud karo and help yourself. Agar maids are occupying too much time, energy, mindspace and increasing stress levels in the home then just technology enable everything as much as possible, buy high quality & long lasting gadgets wherever possible and take maids, drivers and workers out of the equation altogether. I also think schools and colleges should mandatorily teach girls and boys basic carpentry, electrical works and plumbing so they are self sufficient at home when they have homes of their own.

I live in Andhra Pradesh, here government gives monthly pension to BPL families, so per person they get around 3000₹ and school students, auto drivers etc get separate free money. They pay no tax or GST. The rice and ration shop is now on wheels so it comes infront of their house every week and gives rice, dal for 1₹ per kg. My maid demanded 500₹ per day to work. I don't get paid that much, I told her to hire me instead.

Keeping politics aside for a while ....
A social empowered upliftment in Educational , Medical n other sectors has started in AP and none can stop this . Any political party which comes to power has to continue all these empowerment schemes.
On the face of it , it looks like sinking money in welfare schemes but underneath these schemes a level playing field creating opportunities for self development n empowerment is what is happening . Whoever utilises the schemes n get empowered with knowledge will attain financial freedom n move ahead in society irrespective of their caste, creed n religion.

Sir I really appreciate your efforts making this discussion as lot of people don't even have any clue about this Subject.
Sir I started observing these changes in Society long back at least 5 to 7 years back.
& you are absolutely correct about asset rich people with very poor cash flow for living everyday life, this is very deep rooted cultural issue in Indian subcontinent DNA.
People of India must stop calling people working for them as servants as this is the most radical way of naming your colleague's or asking the domestic help & badging them with Servant.
I agree with Sir on many points but I have my own version of Answers for all of these society behavioral changes.
    Very good discussion.
People must thank sir and get into this with open mind & if one get opportunity to learn something new about themselves & then must work on it to be a better person for yourself.
