It was not real life but nowadays with so many brands in the form of social media (Twitter, Facebook), video (RUclips), and image (Instagram) sites all offering monetization, it create these platforms for people to make money off of and these users now have to deal with protecting their brand so they don't hurt their followers/subscribers.

I think one reason he panicked so much is that he just recently almost had his youtube channel deleted due to a copyright issue. Since from what I can tell youtube is his primary source of income, he's probably become extra-sensitive to anything that could hurt his career in the aftermath of that experience.

People from parts of the country that share socioeconomic positions usually have similar political views. Two people in the midwest with equal housing/salary are more likely to be similar politically than not.

I will say, this is why it's super important to foster a good audience. E.g. if you're leafyishere and you make drama videos and foster an audience that seeks that and loves going after people, they'll come after you . People like Destiny on the other hand (who I disagree with a lot) actually fosters some nuance. That's why it's fine for him to meet and be friendly with people on the other side, because hardcore die hard political views aren't really fostered by him.

You know, I think theres a gap of thought between those born in the 70s-80s versus those born in the 2000s & above.
