    What does 거예요 mean used at minute 9:06? I know it is used in the future tense like 할 거예요 but in this case 거예요 itself what does it mean?

    • @KoreanJream
      @KoreanJream  3 года назад +17

      Literally, its 거(thing)+예요(is/are/am: polite ending for the verb 이다'to be') 😊
      Like you said, it's used in ~(으)ㄹ 거예요 ending, and it's used in more different sentences. For instance, ~는/(으)ㄴ 거: (the fact) that...
      In the scene at 9:09, Park Bogeom is saying "If we change, it's not because of the circumstances, but it's that we lost our genuineness." - the fact that we lost... : 잃은 거다.
      You have probably heard "뭐 하는 거야?" (What are you doing?) - This is the same structure as well. This in the plain level will be 뭐 하는 거냐?/거니? 😉

    Hi, at first I should say thank U for all the bestest lessons you're teaching
    Frankly I have a question...
    Another difference I've heard between 니 and 냐 is that If girls and boys wanna ask a question From the boys they use 냐 and furthermore 니 is used for asking a question from the girls, so is that true ??

    • @KoreanJream
      @KoreanJream  3 года назад +2

      First of all, you are so welcome and thank you for watching the video and leaving such kind comments! 저도 비디오 보고 친절한 댓글 써 주셔서 감사합니다! 🥰
      In terms of gendered use of this form, you may see guys use this to their guy friends more often just like you've heard. It is difficult to simply say so, however, because you do see any friends say this to their close friends regardless of their gender... so I try to resist generalizing it unless I see a hard proof supported by data or statistics. More obvious distinction between 니 and 냐 to me is that 니 is used by an older person when they are being caring and sweet to younger people... or when they play that older person authority and disapprove of the younger person. On the other hand, 냐 sounds more playful or casual. 😄

  • @onecuriousowl
    @onecuriousowl Год назад

    What is the thought behind using the plain form instead of the 어/아 form? I know you explained it’s even more casual, but what’s the feeling behind this use? Specially with other people.

    • @KoreanJream
      @KoreanJream  Год назад

      It's the relationship. Between friends, this sounds the most casual and at ease without ANY politeness.
      If you watch the question part, it's also to sound caring or intimidating depending on the context.
      Or because it has no politeness, you use this to think out loud, reacting, talking to yourself as well.

      재미있게 봐 주셔서 저도 너무 감사합니다! 🙏🏼
      네, “거다”는 준말이에요. 그래서 좀 더 캐주얼하게 들리고, 평소에 말할 때는 대부분 “거다”를 써요! 글 쓸 때나 공식적인 상황에서는 “것이다”를 써요. Daily conversations mostly use 거다 since it’s casual, and the official announcements or writing use the full form 것이다. 🙂

    Hi, I’m back again, what does 가까이있는 것과, 멀리있는 것. means? Thank you

    • @KoreanJream
      @KoreanJream  3 года назад +1

      가까이 = nearby / 멀리 = far away
      있는: noun-modifying form of 있다 to be (location), to exist
      것: thing
      가까이 있는 것: thing that is nearby
      멀리 있는 것: thing that is far away
      Hope this helps! 😊

    Is anyone using verbix? Would this speech level be considered "formal low" in verbix? 예쁘다 is conjugated as 예쁜다 and I am confused which to listen to 😭😭😭

    • @KoreanJream
      @KoreanJream  Год назад

      예쁜다 is incorrect! The plain form of adjectives is the same as their dictionary forms!
      So if you want to say out loud "so pretty!", you must say "예쁘다!" 😍

    How to conjugate 듣다 with 니/ 냐

    • @KoreanJream
      @KoreanJream  2 года назад

      Just 듣니/듣냐? 🥰
      듣다 is only irregular when followed by ㅇ such as 어요, 을 거예요, 은, etc.
