Like some have mentioned, the attorney for Lt. Nazario was not very well spoken. Definitely affected this case and verdict. I even wonder if the jury saw the bodycams and were made aware of the laws. Clearly more than an unreasonable search was at stake here but they couldn't even get charges pressed at that. I mean no evidence of malice? Did they hear the diatribe from the one cop who threatened to have him "ride the lightning"? And that he should be afraid to exit his car after being told to? If this officer was racist, he would have arrested him and charged him with evading and obstruction of justice, which he was well within his right to do so, but instead he tried to deescalate the situation and educate Nazario. When an officer puts his lights on, under state law, you are required to pull over immediately, not when you feel you want to, but immediately, or you can be charged with evading. That is not an opinion, its a FACT. Nazario evaded police, which gave the police the right to ask him to exit the vehicle. It doesn't matter that Nazario says "I'm a vet". He HAS TO COMPLY at that point. He didn't and he is no obstructing justice. That is not an opinion, its a fact of law. If you don't like the law, get mad at the politicians and law makers, not the police officer who is simply following them. This case should have never went before a "hand picked" jury, because just like you, most people don't know the law. This case should have only gone before a district judge, and guaranteed it would have been dismissed as the officer did not do anything wrong. Idiots like you make this about racism. You're disgusting. Stop playing the victim, learn and understand the law, and teach your kids to be responsible.

    Zero justice in that decision.
Now, if only this situation was to happen to each of these jurors. I wonder if they’d be satisfied with similar treatment and a similar settlement?
    Bootlickers!

@@amyzoey8868 his actions during the stop were performative. Failing to yield, setting up a camera when he did decide to stop, plus his noncompliance and pseudo-autistic affect? The video was the entire case. Apparently, the jury saw it as a money-grabbing machination. The cops were quite incompetent so it could be argued that his complete lack of compliance helped expose their training deficiencies. A thank you probably would have sufficed but, for some reason, the jury decided to toss him a few grand for his trouble

@@amyzoey8868 my point of view is that the cops didn't know what they were doing. The driver knew exactly what he was doing. He had been stopped a month earlier and warned that his tag was out of compliance. Why do you suppose he hadn't corrected it? I suspect that the jury wondered the same thing.
