      What we need to start doing is having armed rapid response groups in neighborhoods that can outnumber and swarm police doing raids to make sure everything is by the books.
      Imagine 30 LEO'S raid a house and within 5 min they are surrounded by 150 armed citizens making sure they are not up to any funny business, call it a constitutional audit. If they try to claim authority and make arrests just raise your guns against theirs. The people have the power they just need to act

      Depends. If Bob comes to me and tells me Joe murdered someone and buried the body in his backyard, then I tell police, a judge will probably sign a warrant due to the circumstances. Same as in this case. Someone said Afroman kidnapped someone and had her in his basement. This is a serious crime. Of course a warrant will be issued. The solution is not necessarily going after the judge but charging the "informant" who made the false claims.

    I love this story so much. The officers have no expectation of privacy on someone else’s private property, performing their jobs as public servants. Afroman owns the images and can do with them what he wants.

    • @devious187
      @devious187 5 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately that's not really true with the new NIL (name, image, likeness) laws, no one can profit off of a persons image without their permission, so if he profits off of those pictures a court of law will almost surely say he owes the officers part of that profit

    • @Lreclusa
      @Lreclusa 5 месяцев назад

      @@devious187 the only recent changes I can find are expansions on preventing universities and colleges from profiting on athletes without including them in the profit. Ohio, where this happened, has clauses for exceptions to the NIL laws. One of those exceptions is when the person is not represented as themselves, but solely as a member of the public. In these videos, most of the officers haven't been singled out as individuals, but as "members of the Adams County Sherrif's office". The only one who might have a claim is the Peter Griffin cop because his likeness has been directly referenced by comparing it to the character.
      The NIL laws are there more to protect from people profiting specifically off of your popularity without paying you, not so that some random person who happened to be caught in your video can sue for profit.

    I'm on Afroman's side on this issue. Is it so difficult to show a little common courtesy or decency to repair the damage they made in entering his PRIVATE home? Especially if nothing was found and he's innocent. If they had done the repair work or paid someone else to do it, none of this would have happened.
