I've told you this many times but your openness, your sincerity, and raw honesty is refreshing and brings me back to watch your reactions all the time. As I've gotten older the people I keep in my life are a select few cause they have been with me through all the ups and downs. In my early 20's I became very sick and Dr.s, nurses, counselors all told my parents to start preparing my funeral and to say goodbye. I learned who mattered, who cared, who would stand by me and support me till the end no matter how soon that could be or how bad it could get. My best friend, who is family (she calls my parents mom and dad, calls my older brothers her brothers, calls me her sister and I call her and her sister my sisters and her parents mom and dad) was supposed to move for a new job and she told them she was sorry but she couldn't do it. She needed to be in town to help support me and our family. She put her life on hold cause she couldn't bare the thought of not being around me if the Dr.s were right and couldn't find what was wrong and I was going to die. She was going to be in that hospital sitting next to me holding my hand and giggling over years of memories. I'm lucky they thankfully figured out what was wrong with me and it's taken years to recover and I will never fully recover but I'm alive and learned to live a new normal. But that experience taught me everything I needed to know about the people around me. You seem like the kind of person my friends and I would gladly let join our close knit friend group.
