But I’m glad I can atleast watch you fish now 👌
To anyone reading who might think just chin up, no reason to fall out of love with cars. The first stolen was bassically a mechanic a gave it to who (I believe but no proven) sold off interior parts of the car (like my touch screen aftermarket radio, speakers and the dash) then when I noticed bits had been ‘stolen’ he crushed the car and pretended the whole thing was stolen (that’s a fact) buinesses in the area told me they had seen them taking to the car to the scrap yard (who there in cahoots with) and I also obtained a video the actualy mechanic and his mate recorded of themselves doing it. How I got the video? Because it turns out one of my mates of 10 years (who recommended me the garage) had the video and was there the day they did it. Sadly he and that garage are ‘freinds’ / ‘sponsors of this huge car group I was in, local to my area so obviously when the police investigated I was also ostracised from the group. (Bassically I feared being attacked by the people of the garage at meet ups since they had already threatened to come to my family’s house and my nans thanks to my ‘freind’ telling them all this information)
The second was a finance car, a nice 8 year old bmw msport, not super fast or flashy but awesome none the less. long story short a women made a false claim (I bumped into her while in stand still traffic at 1-2mph) she lied and said she could walk or work to my insurance so they cancelled my insurance and because of that I became such a high risk it would have been £3000 a month to insure me on the bmw. Since ir was uninsured the finance company took it away and a week after they did, my insurance cancelled the false claim and agreed the woman had lied, because when they went to investigate she cancelled her claim instantly after she heard she would be investigated. However, because of the fact she cancelled the claim despite my insurance also concluded it was a lie, I couldn’t sue her for the money I still today owe on the car. Despite not owning it and only having driven it a handful of times
The second stolen car was my attempt to make a budget friendly camper van to travel Europe. Got the car for cheap over lock down, started filling it with solar panels and other bits to make it livable short term (bed, running water ect) only to find it was stolen the day before I was going to move it to a secured location to allow me to work on it.
The fourth is entirely my fault, I should have paid the tax because the car was on the road (although I did believe the road it was on was private so therefore exempt) but sadly this wasn’t the case and as I couldn’t afford to pay the release fee it was either crushed/or sold.
The third car hurt the most, although I lost a dream with the second camper car, the third was the glimmer of hope I had to regaining the former limited fun I had with the other bmw, despite being older, worse condition. It had been modified in cool ways by the previous owner and it rekindled my love for cars and driving but was promptly crushed.

Hey, great video. Definitely worth the wait. One video I'd love to see is finding and identifying a fuel leak. They are common on old enthusiast cars, and can be very dangerous!
Awesome video. Oh how this brings back so many good memories. I used to own an old E46 in university. It was a hand-me-down family sedan in our family since 2003. In 2018 the car started running into major issues and I realized it wasn't worth to keep fixing it. Parked it outside on my property up north and let it sit for 3 years. My friends and I would always talk about how we would turn it into a track car like yours. However by the time we got jobs and actually had the money to do so, the car had fallen into a severe state of disrepair. Got it towed last spring to a junk yard, always thought I would end up doing a build similar to yours. Keep it up!
This was incredible to watch. You basically took me on a heart to heart journey of buying a car and going through the work to get it ready in just 13 mins. 6am to midnight is absolutely wild, you guys are awesome🙏🏼 loved watching this, my face lit up and got closer and closer to my phone with every new fix
The level of detail in your videos are amazing. Thanks to you and your channel, I started learning a lot about mecanics, and this changed the way I see the whole market and the overpriced fix that autoshops do. You’re awesome chris
Most places arent really overpriced. They're running a business and that shop rate they charge goes to a bunch of stuff like the tech, utilities, other employees, tools and equipment etc. If you know how to fix it easily go for it! Shops are there for convenience/advanced issues.
Your videos are really helpful. As an 18 almost 19 year old I am clueless about cars so your videos help me learn more about them and now I want to buy a car and fix it up
Hey Chris just wanna say HUGE inspiration from this channel , it helped me see what I really wanna do with my life and spare time I don’t have any content yet but I’ve started cryptic detailing and more as a channel and local detailing !! The level of details put in to your videos are just the best, I've learned what the basics are to fix a car and I am excited to see the rest of the series, and that preview at the end was very catastrophic.
Nothing makes me happier than a ChrisFix video, except the fact how much effort you put into providing a high quality video. Don’t worry about how long it’s been, we are all busy and good videos take time and energy to complete.
There's something in Chris' videos that always makes me want to watch from start to finish. Looking forward to the race vid! ps. I'm a sucker for neutral colors, so I'd say white looks best on your roll cage.
Glad to see this video! Really excited to hear about your actual race experience it is difficult to explain the actual experience to folks sometimes. Also it's fairly normal to pull a conn rod out of the car like that at a race. I've got a ventilated inline 6 in my workshop right now needing to be removed from a BMW that didn't quite make the checkered flag.
I watch a lot of your videos. How did you learn so much about cars and fixing them so well. You make it look so easy. I can’t even find an oil leak in my Murano!
Suggestion: Coms button should be an On/Off so that you can shuffle your hands freely without needing to how onto it while racing. Love the car! I had the same one but was tboned 4 years ago after full suspension, engine rebuild, lightweight clutch kit, bushings, etc. all it need was a set of cams and a supercharger

Hey Man, You are an expert really. This BMW looks very good from the outside. You have done an incredible job. Thanks.
Man this sounds like a ton of fun! Requires lots of money, skill, knowhow and TIME...TIME...>TIME! Looking forward to the next one....thanks!
The level of detail in your videos are amazing. Thanks to you and your channel, I started learning a lot about mecanics, and this changed the way I see the whole market and the overpriced fix that autoshops do. You’re awesome chris
Thanks Lucas and I am glad you are learning a lot!
Most places arent really overpriced. They're running a business and that shop rate they charge goes to a bunch of stuff like the tech, utilities, other employees, tools and equipment etc. If you know how to fix it easily go for it! Shops are there for convenience/advanced issues.
Looking forward to the race video
Nice video
nice
This is awesome
good.

BRUHHHHHHH I WAS WONDERING WHAT WAS HAPPENING WITH THIS
LOVE YOUR VIDEO MAN ‼️
The drift king is back keep up the great repair man!!!
Thanks a lot Pizza Man!
Your videos are really helpful. As an 18 almost 19 year old I am clueless about cars so your videos help me learn more about them and now I want to buy a car and fix it up
I'm glad the videos are helpful! Thanks a lot!
This guy is just living the dream, keep it up!!
Hey Chris, I have practical exam for automobile engineering. I watched all your videos . Because U do them really cool and alsou use the best tools
Hey Chris just wanna say HUGE inspiration from this channel , it helped me see what I really wanna do with my life and spare time I don’t have any content yet but I’ve started cryptic detailing and more as a channel and local detailing !! I wanna set an example for people experienced or not hell I even want my kids to know how important this work is !! So huge thank you for your videos and inspiration keep it coming !! If you have any useful tips or anything man like to help get the name out there or even just washing and detailing tips I’m all ears and thank you so much for the videos and inspiration
That’s awesome man!!!!
@@chrisfix when’s the next videooo brooo I’ve been on the edge of my seat loll
Haven't watched a video in a while and saw this. I love it! It looks amazing, sounds amazing, and is definitely ready to race. I hope you've had a fun time and hope you do well.
Thanks! You will find out next video... that is for sure haha
Awesome update! Can't wait for the rest of the series. That preview at the end sure looks catastrophic.
I’m interested in the fullness of the carnage too. BMW parts all over the place when I cruised past their garage spot.
So cool to see the BMW again! Can't wait for the next video!
I think the cage would look good in blue!
The level of details put in to your videos are just the best, I've learned what the basics are to fix a car and I am excited to see the rest of the series, and that preview at the end was very catastrophic.
Thanks!
Thanks a lot!
I love how everyone is always with chris fix giving him advice and pumping him up as well on top of that I can feel the love of this community.
I was wondering what happened to it because I loved this series!
Super stoked for you guys and I can't wait for the race! Thanks for the content and the passion. It pleases my "diy dad" brain!
I watch a lot of your videos. How did you learn so much about cars and fixing them so well. You make it look so easy. I can’t even find an oil leak in my Murano!
I had no idea there was so much going on inside a race car. This is awesome!
A bot stole your comment lmao
Suggestion: Coms button should be an On/Off so that you can shuffle your hands freely without needing to how onto it while racing.
Love the car! I had the same one but was tboned 4 years ago after full suspension, engine rebuild, lightweight clutch kit, bushings, etc. all it need was a set of cams and a supercharger
Thanks for the tip
I actually had an MGB that raced in the 24hrs of lemon's and it's crazy bad, thanks Chris.
Are you the same team who ''''helped'''' the team with the Spitfire who couldnt work out how to make a cage fit?
I'm not it was there a while ago the car I mean and I didn't even go this would have been like 5 to 6 years ago
Haha my mom had one back in the day and she said it was in the shop every other week but it was such an amazing car she didnt want to get rid of it.
Yeah I actually have a well now not functioning but was functional 1979 MGB that is super fun there is no better car that can corner that well.
@@wilbaur9607 If it's anything like a Triumph you work on it all week so you can have fun with it for part of the weekend. (depending on how long it holds up)
You started RUclips 12 years ago. You have come very far in your career. Remember to never give up. :)

Love the vids keep it up.....can you show us how to replace valve seals on a gas engine
Shoutout to Reese for appearing in the video! Also to the small end of that connecting rod for giving away the catastrophic failure. I guess it must have been a DNF race. Looking forward to the engine rebuilding series!
u know its about to get good when Chris uploads after a while :)
Hey ChrisFix! I’ve been a longtime viewer and fan of the channel and even have started on working on my own project car. You’ve inspired me and many others but there’s one i particular that I want to do a favor for. I have an environmental science teacher at my school who has a son that absolutely loves your videos. They both appreciate how in your videos you still try to cater to the environment. It would be awesome if you could send a personalized video to them because my teacher has been so awesome this year and it would mean the world to his son. Thank you!
This car brings back so many memories of my first car, a 2001 BMW 330i. It was a complete pile of shit, but man, it was fun. I regularly drove 70 in a 35 zone. I kind of miss my Beemer, but I couldn't be happier with my F-150.
I don't usually comment but man, what a fun car. I had an 01 325i and was just telling my fiance how badass my brother and I thought we were with that car.
The next chapter is gonna be good, after seeing that small end of the connecting rod come out through the wheel opening!
Always the best content. Best youtuber ever
Thanks a lot!
Even if you ever stop doing RUclips ,chris you will never stop having support from us just an unbelievable RUclipsr 🤙
I, as my favorite being blue, I approve of blue roll cage.
Also never thought a race car could look so exciting. This proved me wrong.
This is going to be spectacular, I just know it. Thanks for the journey Chris, as always.
At the end the teaser is spectacular. The engine blown LMAO.
@@KarrasBastomi IKR truly promising
Been waiting for this for a while!
Lets call it a "restart" to the series haha
Looking forward to watch the race!
I would paint the roll cage green, like exactly the one in the video!
Keep up the good effort! I noticed a lot of RUclipsrs do terrible job, no effort, and they still get viewers, and worst money. But people like you deserve more!
Id say silver because the entire car is covered in silver paint anyways

Just came from the Mass Reduction video (took a bit, had to do laundry). Glad that you had these subframe mounts welded.

You have grown a whole lot, I have been here sense 700k
Been waiting for this update. I'm in Jersey prepping for lemons. Where did you get the cage done?
A guy in upstate NY. He does all BMW chassis cages so it was a good fit. If you want his shop name just let me know!
@@chrisfix I'm working on an Audi, would love the shop name
Chrisfix can you make a detailed video on the advantages and disadvantage of applying PPF, Ceramic coating and Glass coating on a brand new car ; and which is the best option to use.?
Hey Chris, how do you find the specific torque specs for each bolt when torquing down bolts for specific parts?
You should be able to find them in the manual or instructions of whatever part you’re installing.
google
He uses service manuals for the cars that he works on. Google is another place to look
You are the reason I want to be an engineer and a race car driver thx for everything
Keep up the good work!
Thanks Christian!
Your videos somehow continue to get better even with the crazy high bar you set for yourself. Keep it up!
You know it's a good day when Chris uploads 😁
I’ve been watching your maintenance videos and they come in clutch! Thank you! I have a 2001 Audi A4 avant quattro and I’m trying to get as much information I can on my car, if anybody has any tips I would appreciate it, thank you for everything!
I feel like 3800 for a cage of that level is actually an amazing deal
ehh idk, if it was made from 4130 then yea great deal, this looks like just regular 1020 steel, and chromoly is expensive compared to mild steel
The welder got rich.
