An Engels' arm is comprised of a Marx-type Goliath. The latter is named after Karl Marx, who co-wrote the Communist Manifesto alongside Friedrich Engels.

I had so much fun in this raid. The first Nier one was the best.
Despite my season tickets to slaptown, I still like Tower at Paradigm's Breach more. The music from that raid was [chef's kiss]
Yup. Played the raids recently and the first one was by far the best in terms of gameplay/visuals/music. I was hyped for the next enemy every time we won, and engles fight was the cherry on top to make this the prefect raid.

my jaw dropped when i got to this point in the raid. I'm like 'nope. nope, nuh uh not happening, nope im out' x'D
"Fuck this shit, I'm out." comes to mind when reading this.
Commiebot was quite interesting.....a lot of groups plain failed the various oneshot Marx swipes, so it was always nice to have someone lead and do callouts on where to move, especially for the front/back slams with followup roller attacks.
All Hail Engels! Was my favorite boss of that raid. Would take it everytime to post that in raid chat lol

Marx was an arm attached to Engles, just like the latter sponsored the former irl. A lot of Nier Automata machines named after philosophers have references like this.

You know... I only started playing it to do these raids... I got much more than i bargained for. In a good way. Story of this game is INCREDIBLE

Do you happen to have the lyric for the "Torn of the Heaven" part in the fight against giant 2P (last boss of Puppet Bunker)?
FFxiv characters are so weak, 2B and 9S defeat Engels alone
To be fair. The fact if the WoL did the raid with other people in the lore is debatable I think there's more evidence supporting that they did it with only 2P helping them.
The only ones i remember that are shown in the cutscene that you get help from a bunch of people (didn't play endwalker yet). Is the Final Fight in Shadowbringers, The post shadowbringers Final Boss. The Crystal Tower And maybe gilgamesh too if that wasn't the localization team memeing again.

But the same teams eliminated N2 and Her Inflorescence with similar efforts. Hard to say.

In this fight, Engels' hit box takes up about 1/3rd of the arena's walking space. He's such a chunky boi that we simply wave our sticks in his general direction and deal damage :)
I wish they would have the balls to let the seed of destruction reign in one of the reflections.
And one expansion be about traveling to a reflection that similar to nier. Again I doubt they have the balls to do it. lol
