I like the sort of distorted version of the dying light 1 theme it fits with how this game focuses on a more distorted version of Kyle Crane fighting to stay Alive from the infection that’s slowly taking him over.
What I can see from the trailer itself, the infection and him already adapted him like in the Dying Light 1 DLC 13 years after Dying Light wouldn't be much a problem for him
Then this probably means that The Following Ending where he becomes the Night Hunter is the true ending! That could also mean this story takes place before Dying Light 2!

You guys noticed that the only gameplay we were shown similar to dl1 and 2 was only shown during the day, and the only shots at night were from the pov of something similar to a volatile? What if we get to play as an actual monster during the night and during the day the gameplay is just normal crane. That would be insanely badass

They did that with The Following for DL1 too. The Following was never on the season pass bundle roadmap before it was revealed, but Techland still gave it to players that owned the season pass. These are devs with passion

Alright Techland, this looks great. The darker atmosphere is what I’ve been wanting. That mystery “beast” in the beginning could be a real cool threat. Also, Kyle Crane looking badass with a little mark on his face, love it. It's also possible they decided to retcon a bit how he looks. Maybe looking more human in the day but changes into a Volatile at night. Like Bruce Banner changing to the Hulk.

Alright Techland, this looks great. The darker atmosphere is what I’ve been wanting. That mystery “beast” in the beginning could be a real cool threat.
Also, Kyle Crane looking badass with a little mark on his face, love it.
Makes me wonder if DLC 2 became what we see here, of if that’s still its own thing since what we saw of the concept art looks a lot like this

If you check the QnA for this, this was DLC2 and it became a standalone. They are no longer making a DLC2.
