Gibberish with intent! I'm pretty sure I remember reading the singer constructing the lyrics using a lot of sounds from a variety of languages she couldn't understand to kinda convey the mood of the song
Emi Evans is a god! There is not better Fictional and beautiful Language that can defeat Chaos Language.

Everytime I get this raid, I just turn the music up, even if it is a language I don't speak, for some reason it just sounds so beautiful.

@@Karkman87 The idea comes from modern day languages not surviving inevitable catastrophe. Thus creating a blend of "forgotten" languages. Emi Evans i think took inspirations from celtic, japanese, german, latin, english, and i think two others to create the "Chaos Language"
Even this version, I feel some level of guilt because Devola and Popola are still singing right into my ears

The only bad end i organically got in Automata was Ending V, because with this song playing I just wanted to keep fighting alongside Devola and Popola as allies forever

I think it's clever that they used this song for Hansel and Greta. They both have their own fight theme yes bit given at what point of thr story we are at and who's song this is they essentially function as stand-ins to avoid spoilers. And since this song played in Factory people who aren't aware of what happens will just think they just reused this song when in fact this is reference to when we encounter Devola and Poppola in both Nier games

Will say in Nier Replicant this isn’t their theme. They actually have their own theme called Blubird entirely separate from Song of the Ancients.
And Blu Bird does not sound at all how you think a song called “Blu Bird” would sound

Agreed Blu Bird is really banger!! Hansel and Gretel have a great soundtrack. But I think they wanted to focus on Nier Automata and that's why they didn't put ir in the raid.

Right now I am playing Nier Replicant with plans to play Nier Automata right after. I never imagined that this, the hardest boss fight in the raid was the first boss in Nier Replicant the PTSD hit hard.

@@evilanimegeniousIt's what tanks have to do so that the shield is facing away from alliance. If we don't have the bosses facing us, then that means players with AoE attacks like Dancer will end up killing themselves.
@@Art2D2Nobody has mercy on us dancers T_T I always have to be so careful on this fight so I don't catch a shield and get whomped in the face.
@@laerwen When I tank I make sure the opening of the shield is facing the alliance. When I heal I tell tanks that are new to the raid to do this. Sometimes they get it right away, and sometimes they don't and get half the team murdered anyways. Lol

It's Chaos Language, It's a language original of the Nier games, basically Emi Evans (the original singer and composer) mixed together a bunch of languages (Scottish Gaelic, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French, English and Japanese) and imagine what they would sound like after 1000 years of drifting.
So it's not just gibberish, but just the composer would know the meaning of the lyrics.

It’s called chaos language invented by the singer and writer hired by yoko taro to create most of the ost you hear playing the drakengard and nier games. Sorry I don’t have the full details :/
