Really appreciate the list. As a new player, I'm struggling to decide on a list and build towards it, and only seeing SSA content lately makes it tricky. I really appreciate the different breakdowns so I can build something with the models I already have.
Hey man, love the content. I've only been playing a few months and took a list based on this to a local tournament - won one, lost two (to some very experienced players) but had a great time. Thanks!
@@PNW40Kbiggest lessons - 1. Flayed Ones are awesome, even if they are just bait (and not placed on an objective to prevent storm hostile like you mention). 2. Wraiths really need support - yes they can tank but generally can't dish out enough damage on tanky units by themselves. They also got instantly wiped game 1 by two squads of scions dropping on top of them... 3. My variations on this list were due to what I have, as opposed to any creative difference, tended to underperform. DDA did just ok, Nightbringer whiffed and the LHD really needed a third in order to threaten more. 4. Reanimator didn't really do too much aside act as a token for Szeras to lone operate, and a few actions, not sure if I was just playing it wrong First game I played against IG (he went on to win), just too much uppy downey. Second against DA (he was of similar experience, but not very good). Third against Space Wolves, was winning until T4 where he just completely ran me over.
I just tried this list. As long I could build it with my minis. And damn, this soooo good. My opponent not even now where to go first and the 3 LHD with the Lord and the Reroll Strat! Every vehicle / Monster without an invul one-Shot! Amazing! For the homefield I choose Hexmark plus Deathmarks - a Desaster for the opponent, when he deep strike, if he finds any spots 😉 Bringing back Szeras after my opponent commited his half army to take him out - what a devastating moment for him 😅 Really, really heavy list!
Cool list. Been running something similar for a while, but might have to try going more MSU like you did here. You are sleeping on the translocation overlord though. Autoadvance 6 is kind of perfect for your playstyle and helps the lychguard stage. Moving through units to steal primary is huge.
Nice list! I will give it a try - as most of the models I have 😅 But I learned a good player has no problem to delete 10 Lychguard in one punch (Deathwing Knights in Special). For me it looks not tough enough to hold primaries - only the wraith. But I will try it definitely. Especially the flayed ones - never thought about them 😅
I ran a similar, though smaller (1500 points) list at a local tournament in the summer that I won, and it gave each of my opponents headaches. One opponent threw almost all of their ranged attacks, and most of their Melee into my Lychguard, left 1 standing, and on my following turn they were all back.
I really like this list - I think what you've got here is a list than can trade better compared to other lists, especially AD lists, and the flexibility it gives with the Skorpekh Lord + Destroyers is very nice. I'm curious about your views regarding not including the following units we see in AD lists all the time: Immortals with Plasmancer or Chronomancer Imotekh for command point generation Void Dragon for anti vehicle Nightbringer for massive melee threat Doomsday Ark for anti vehicle Deathmarks for cheap secondaries Please could you explain why you don't include them? I'm not trying to critique, I'm genuinely curious as to why you choose not to include them over this list, as it does look quite different to a lot of AD lists and I'm hoping to understand and learn from experienced battlers
Appreciate you watching! Watching the Necron Tier list today will probably bring in some more insight. But basically you are breaking down units into rolls. I think right now the units in my list do those rolls better then other units
Thanks for the list! I'm definitely going to pick up 5 more lychguard and try running the overlord lychguard brick. I can't help but wonder if cutting the royal warden and that brick for a nightbringer might be better, though... Maybe on WTC the brick would be better, but on GW where staging is less good (particularly with a 5" movement unit), I think it'd be hard to use them well, especially since you already have three skorpekh bricks.
Basically the setup is the lynchguard brick is staged behind Zarus. So it creates a problem turn one. you can kill zarus in shooting. You bring him back for one CP and then if they want to charge they are going to get Heroic Intervened by the Lynchguard. I honestly like the idea of the Nightbringer as well
Very nice list, I will absolutely try that one eventually! There's only a small thing, I was left with a floating 35pts at the end, did you forget to add a single Lokhust?
@@PNW40K 2-1! 11th out of 23. Game 1 (W), Death Guard failed something like 5 charges of 7" or less. Game 2 (L) Vanguard Spearhead. I made some silly mistakes and my opponent was very good, and capitalized on them. Game 3 (W) Gladius. Squeaked out a win by play a solid secondary game.
Subscribed - some of the best Necron strategy content on RUclips. I’m struggling to follow the reanimation stacking tho, how do you ever get 2D3+1? Wouldn’t it only happen once from the strat, and then reanimator gives a regular D3?
Great breakdown! Ive always wanted to ask someone more experienced, do you think the FAQ for the lokhust destroyers ability and the awakened strat that both conditions need to be met in order to get full rerolls was necessary? It felt like such a random nerf considering the wording literally says "instead".
Hard time zoomning in, whats your loadout on the wraiths and tomb blades? My guess would be Particle casters for wraiths and at least one tesla for the tomb blades. Correct?
This is a cool list! 17 units is a whole lot and smaller units leave a smaller footprint than bigger units :) The only thing I'm missing to run this exact list is another Hexmark Destroyer and Lokhust Lord, so might just get one of those and try it out on my friends :D
Nice list! any reason you went for the void scythe overlord instead of the Translocation shroud ? I feel like 3 attacks at 3 damage vs 4 attacks at 2 isnt all that different, and auto advancing 6 if you need to and go thru objects seems more useful.
