hey guys we missed the line that says that the Transcendent Ctan cant have enhancements on his datasheet we do apologise for any confusion this may have caused.
This video helps me out a ton, I've only just started playing 40k and using this detachment. I've played maybe 5 games so far and lost everytime to my friend who's a veteran of the long war 😄 he knows so many tricks that it's nice to finally understand my army better! Like the Reanimator helping my unit regain additional wounds when I use the strat! Didn't know this went together!! 😳 cheers guys! Bring on his alpha legion!
I'm a simple dude and this detachment speaks to me as the "classic" Necron detachment. Others can spam their canoptek units all the way to podium on tournaments. Not my cup of plasma.
Reanimator needs an additional ability like the Kustom Force Field for orks.. you can overcharge it once per game for a better stat. I'd make it overcharge its reanimation aura to get 6" adding D6 instead of D3 - once per game - and after that it no longer reanimates, period. A one time overcharge, but the unit becomes useless..... could be useful, and worth the sacrifice, in the right scenario!
I want to be positive about the changes, but I feel that these changes really defeated the tough, resilient feel of the whole faction. Even with our previous versions of resurrection protocols, the whole faction is below mid tier in wr. I painted up so many units that were nerfed into the ground, even though they werent nearly as strong as some other factions. Most likely shelving the necrons for a while. 😢
I've been using the index version of vengeful stars to great effect. Seeing this change is understandable that it's being nerfed, but it's perhaps went a bit too far into the rarely used, if ever, category. I think changing it to 2 CP would have been all they needed to do to nerf it.
Best use for Vengeful Stars is surely lokhurst with a Lord or The Silent King, no? Might still not be worth 2 CP compared to the other stratagems though.
I would play Greycrons almost every time. I'll probably try the other detachments once in a while, but teleporting all over the board is just too much fun 😋
The Veil of Darkness does not put units into strategic reserve. The question is; are units arriving using the veil legitimate targets for rules that limit deep strikes, ie. 12 inch range?
From the way it’s said in the video, it sounds like nether-realm casket is model only however from what I’ve read it states it affects all models in the attached unit. Am I wrong? Or did I misinterpret what was said orrrrr??
@@patricknilsson4360 Oh I wouldn't know. I don't have access to the codex yet. Mike just said that he can, so I just assume that's the case. There could very well be a stipulation on the datacard, but I won't be able to check until they come out. At least on the current index cards, there is no stipulation. It just says he can't be the warlord

Nice videos guys. Will you be covering Annihilation Legion detachment?
Other reviewers said that Transcendent C'tan can't have an enhancement as is said in the codex datasheet
thank you for pointing this out, we have pinned a comment just to make others are aware too

The protocol of the undying legion strat now seems to be a battle tactic again
Really the ap bonus on hungry void not stacking with illuminor is a huge deal no more str 5 ap 2 immortals…. Come on…
Are you saying I can put an Overlord AND a Plasmancer leading the same squad?
You always could
Transcendant C’tan can’t take enhancements right?
It can. It's still a non epic hero :)
@@TheFacelid But doesn’t it say in the codex datacard that he can’t take any? I think it does.
@@patricknilsson4360 Same

Yeah the new updated cards have a specific caveat saying it can’t be given enhancements.
the stratagems are alot worse than index
