Why not ablate the nodule and preserve the thyroid gland? What if there comes a time in the thyroid medication is not available, then what happens to patients?
Am so suprise to see my hashimoto cured because all my doctor told me no cure, only Dr alieaotor on RUclips Channel encourage me and gave me his herbal medicine which I use in treating my hashimoto. Contact him for any health issues you have today
Went to a new doctor today. It was a very bad choice. He told my mom that even though he can feel nodules on her thyroid, they wouldn't be affecting her swallowing. We've always been told what the doctor in the videos says, i.e. that they can affect swallowing.

Trust me they do affect swallowing tremendously. I am going through that now. I just came from the radiologist, and they said that the nodules are considered benign. But I literally can't eat anything. I can get liquids down by the grace of God, and I feel like I'm literally starving to death slowly. But no one really take my concerns and symptoms seriously. They keep claiming the nodules can't cause it. Smh. I'm just over it. I have been going through this since June. I had to be hospitalized due to dehydration and my body going into starvation mode in July. I almost died. Lord have mercy.
@@ladennayoung2939 I'm having problems at moment. Feeling very tired, put on weight, so mood hot and cold. When my head is flat on the pillow my neck feels uncomfortable and big have a weird feeling like i need to swallow like something is stuck in my throat.

A nodule can be small. Why would you take out half the thyroid if the biopsy was benign? Why not just take out the tiny nodule? What happens to weight when half the thyroid is removed? Could this removal of half or all of the thyroid for a nodule make the patient dependent on thyroid medication for the rest of their life? Taking out half or all of the thyroid for a benign nodule sure sounds like doing harm which is against the Hippocratic Oath.
I have a multi nodule goiter … I’ve noticed I’ve been getting choked on food, drinks and even my own spit quit often and I didn’t use to do that… I also noticed I would all of sudden take deep breath’s out of nowhere.. didn’t use to do that either.. Do you think the goiter is what is causing these problems? They put me on thyroid medicine cause my thyroid levels were little elevated… my hair is also has gotten thinner too.. I’ve also gained weight and feel tired
Can some please explain if there is a growth that is not cancer why can’t they just shave off the growth? Why do you need to remove half of the thyroid?
I have a benign 4.6 cm nodule on my right thyroid. About a couple of weeks After my biopsy, i noticed a clicking/popping sound when swallow my saliva or dringking water. Sometimes my throat hurts when i drink water whether its a sip or one cup of water (i always experienced this about 10 years ago) Is it possible that get this clicking/popping sound after my biopsy?

no need treatment a benign thyroid nodule atleast no difficulties in swallowing in breathing
Are hormone producing nodules less likely to be cancer?

Because they are old fashioned and treat it like they did hundreds of years ago! Now there are better treatment options like ablation!

maybe you have acid reflux
Do/can Thy3f nodules shrink back without surgery?
There are some (very few) places around the country that shrink the nodule using radio frequency ablation (RFA)
radioactive iodine or rfa two types
