As a Swede this is really intresting. I start to understand some of the diffrences between states when it comes to the food
It's a BIG country, lots of immigrants settled in different places as they came over too (like Volga Germans in the Kansas/Nebraska area, the Irish in Boston, Acadian French, aka "Cajuns" in Louisiana, etc.) and that had a lot of effect on the food choices there.
The best part of these videos is watching George get so excited by the finished burger that he immediately takes a massive bite....and then makes a noise that is clearly a combination of pure joy and excruciating pain from his tongue being scarred by the heat.
I'm reasonably sure that the roof of George's mouth is perpetually scorched. I also wonder if he's completely burned off his fingerprints yet.

Goober is my favorite way to burger. However, for maximum enjoyment, substitute the pickles for pickled peppers, as hot as you like. The peanut butter works so well with the hot peppers, and I like to add a little mayo as well to make it even more decadent.

This is legit one of the best burger sessions for a cooking show I've ever seen.
Straight forward. Complete (all ingredients listed with appropriate explanation for special ingredient function.) With all the nice visuals and sounds of those burgers coming together.
I would watch an entire series of this show. Regional burgers, recipes and technique.
This is the most underrated show on FWF.
Motz is a gem.

Not many places here in SC put avocado on a burger.
Isn't anywhere putting avocado on a burger in my neck of the woods, or anywhere in the Midwest, for that matter. Simple folks with simple tastes. We don't get the whole avocado thing here, that's some city folk shit. And most people around here are poor, avocado is expensive. Just wouldn't work here, don't think they'd sell well even if an avocado burger cost the same price as a regular burger.
Yeah I was a bit surprised by that too. I live in texas and Avocado Bacon burgers are literally available at places like whataburger. Though I guess there is a lot of crossover between texas and cali food culture, not that the Texans would ever admit it
I just wrote the same thing. There is no way that "california style" avocado burgers aren't everywhere. They are on every fast food burger joint menu.

My family moved from Detroit MI to Sedalia MO in 1984. My first memory of Sedalia was pulling up in front of that dinner and my dad laughing for 10 minutes at the thought of something called a goober burger. I almost fell of the couch when I saw it on this video. Sedalia had a population of 2k people. How did George find that place. Amazing! He is truly a burger scholar.

That avocado science makes so much sense! My favourite side dish to a juicy steak is avocado, it makes it so silky. Its transforms a cheaper cut to something truly special! Wagu etc

I just followed the bacon avocado burger recipe to the letter and it’s one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The bun is soft but it has a crisp edge to it, and with the bacon and tomato on the bottom it basically tastes like a mix between a BLT and a burger in the best way. Oh my goodness. Tomorrow I’m doing to goober burger!

First time I ever had avocado on anything was at Smitty's Garage. They have a bacon-wrapped hotdog that has diced avocado on it. And it's damn delicious. So, tried their bacon avocado burger as well. And yes, the avocado works damn well on it. It's ridiculously creamy, so functions like a mayo.
Bacon, egg, and avocado are three toppings that make a perfect burger IMHO, ESPECIALLY if the patty is smoked salmon or a hash brown.
