Wonderful narration of Sage Vishvamitra crossing the confluence of two rivers and Sucheta Tai visiting the same place during her vacation. So touching and interesting way to connect us with Rigveda.

Here is one more instance of the demonstration of the fact of how our Sanaathana Dharma lives on through scholars like Dr. Sucheta Paranjape. Her efforts to spread the Vedanthic Knowledge (Bramha Gnana) among the common people is most laudable. She deserves all the encouragement and support that the government, the institutions and the society at large can give her.May her efforts bear good fruit.

It is very very important to realise that we were the only culture with scientific knowledge and has been systematically destroyed by various other culture 5000 years ago, start reading ancient Sanskrit books for which you should encourage young childern to take up Sanskrit, big companies should invest in our culture.

I had been searching for some one approaching vedas from anthropological and ligunuistic perspective. Thus is by far the best. This is how Vedas and Sanskrit have to be taken forward. Holding them too sacred and keeping it on the alter is keeping them away from masses.

    • @ViswaMitrann

@@19683 Thanks! I have seen some of this presentation. But the back and forth controversy around his works doesn't inspire confidence to read more.
Key challenge in approaching vedas is - people hold it too close and sacred and hence relax the vigor with which they approach other works. There sheer volume, complexity, elegance, multiple version and the difficulty in arriving chronology of collection of the work makes it very difficult.
One thing to learn is how vedic works have questioned and refined by vast set of authors over long period of time to make itself relevant with times.

One day we will be looking up to foreigners to get the knowledge, this thought also brings tears in my eyes. American are 100 %dedicated to what they do.

Thankfull to Dr Sucheta . When Vedas are not so clear about the method ,the way the means to be estanlished on the self sustaining Truth , the Vedanta is clear on this point of a comprehensive and inclusive way to transcend the Vedas that were the sublime confuguration of three gunas as highlighted in the Geeta -
    Traigunyavisayah vedah Naistriyagunya bhavarjuna

Such stark difference, the vibrations must be so powerful in the first type.

It is understandable that when questions are asked in Marathi, answers also were provided in Marathi. But since it is being taken to wider audience, most of whom don’t understand Marathi, it is a good idea to provide English translations. Especially when both questions and answers are in Marathi only.

    • @meghog3823
      @meghog3823 2 года назад

@@nirvanabliss73 u can trace a written document but for an oral narration you have to track each and every family or person that sukta was transfered to which makes it pretty hard! Rig veda in written form was formed around 2500BC . Scholars were meant to research instead they started indulging in lectures which is partly good as it promotes the study but the main part is still missing out

    WOW !!!!! 👌🏼👌🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Only ONE thing 🙏🏼---- can we all Hindustanis PLEASE stop calling them ...... suktas, vedas, sura, asura, yoga...... etc etc etc etc 😔........ JUST TO be pronounciable by the english speaking part of the world ....... we have made AND now accepted 😔...... yog as yoga ... sukt as sukta.. ram as raama.... dharm as dharma ..... sanatan as sanatana......... ved as Veda ......... you name it and every Hindi Sanskrit word is CONCOCTED now 😣 for what ???? For the whim of the "english" speakers ????? Really? When we very well know and as you reiterated here too 🙏🏼, Hindi Sanskrit words have .... meanings in them....... now, if the words are written wrong in books n for posterity ...... they are all loosing their sense, their meanings......
And that is NO WAY Mam 🙏🏼, you would like the words to be preserved to, right?
These are all the plans of these other cultures ..... to demolish Hindi, Hindustan .... one erosion at a time .... in these current times ... first is, to demolish the language AND its sense ... itself.
I- am in New York, i live here, I am seeing the whole world now. N trust me, I know, what's going on. Seeing n understanding all that, I've realized - we Hindustanis HAVE to accept 🙏🏼, acknowledge, Respect What We Have ..... and then .... Spread the core n crux of these veds n purans to the surroundings---- cause Hinduism/Hindutv.. has been the pagan culture ... which is the believer in vadudhaiv kutumbkum, hence, has delved only n only in uplifting of human mind body n soul ........ which obviously included the nature, the earth, the cosmos n the universe; which is what we realized 6000 years ago ....... that human is just a particle of this whole cosmos BUT it is important to the highest degree too.. so, realizing once place and the importance of it.

She seems to be more interested how Veda came in rather than what is there. He knowledge of history is for sure not good. She tries to fit vedic people to Sindhu river, while telling that no archeological evidences in Harappa. She forgets river Sarasvati being referred a lot more than other rivers. I found it a time waste. Expected the lecture to focus on what is there in Vedas and why they are important even today.

The ancient texts were transmitted orally and hence they were written in Mystical story form. This lady is cynical about the fact that some text says that sun was swallowed by Rahu, Ketu. In Mystical stories the language used consist of metaphors. People who don't know that all stories were metaphors then they are completely unqualified to know the text. For some reason I think I should stop at 8:50
