- Rigveda, Atharvaveda, Yajurveda and Samaveda: the four Vedas are a foundational heritage of the Indian civilisation, and they are at the origin of many Indian philosophies that evolved in the centuries to come.
In the lecture series, Vedas to Vedangas, Dr. Sucheta Paranjpe provided an overview of the Vedic literature through an elaborate exposition of the four Vedas and Vedangas such as Brahmanakas, Aranyakas and Upanishads.
In the third lecture, she takes an overview the lesser known branches of the vedic literature: Brahmanas and Aranyakas. In doing so, she also touches on Atharvaveda, Yajurveda and Samaveda.
This lecture series was organised in October 2019 under the academic programme sponsored by the Infosys Foundation. Supported by the Infosys Foundation, the Academic Programme of the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute is home to multidisciplinary research on Indian philosophy, literature, languages and history.

From day 2 discourse and day 3 discourse, is something missing? Was there any lecture in between because madam says I told you yesterday and gives reference but though I am listening carefully I can't find reference. Today's discourse is amazing with such a lucid and fluid explanation. Really enjoyed a lot. Thanx. 🙏🙏

I am thoroughly enjoying this series of lectures, though it seems a part of it is missing. At some points in this video, Dr. Paranjpe refers to a few things (for example, about surgery in Atharvaveda at about 58:40) she said on the previous day but that does not appear in the day 2 video which I have seen in its entirety.
Edit - This is the video of the 4th day, since this is a 5-day event and you can clearly hear it being announced at the end "tomorrow is the last day". BORI has named this video wrongly as day 3, and has not uploaded day 3 at all. Requesting BORI to see into this so we can have this wonderful discourse in its unabridged form.
