Thoroughly enjoyed this series, an absolute treasure trove! Thank you so much BORI and Dr. Sucheta Paranjpe. My only real grouse is, as I have mentioned in the previous video too, is that day 3 is missing. This video though titled day 4 is clearly day 5 as can be made out at the end, and the video titled day 3 is actually day 4 as is stated at the end of that video as well. I wish BORI looks into this so we can have the missing content as well and are not deprived of Dr. Paranjpe's gems of knowledge and wisdom.
Dr. Suchetha thayi .. .. I cannot express how much I enjoyed listening to you... I love Sanskrit and Indian Sanskriti. ....you have made the study so simple and interesting with all your beautiful illustrations, anecdotes and stories. My heartfelt thanks to you , Infosys and Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute.
You are a great, amazing teacher. Enjoyed all the episodes. Have read Saynacharya rigved. But through your lectures I could understand सौंदर्य of ऋचा. I never learn sankrit. But with your lecture l am atleast introduced to this treasure. Thank you.👏👏👏
Thank you Sucheta tai. This series gave answers to my lot many questions. It led to a thinking which was never done before and hence there are many more questions in my mind which answers I will definitely try to find out.

This is an absolute treasure. Very informative and showing country’s rich culture. One question to all gurus here. I learned that Upanishads were written hundreds years after vedas. Is there difference in their Sanskrit language as languages do change over hundred years (Marathi at the times of Dnyaneshwar was quite different from today’s Marathi so asking this question.
Thanks a lot Madam for the amazing lectures, Can you please suggest some books written in english which I can read for further studies and also core text translations that are reliable.

Correction at 1:00:05 In Indian philosophy, aastik and nastik do not mean believing in God vs not believing in God and they are not divided into 3 aastik and 3 naastik. Indeed all 6 philosophies namely Nyaya, Visheshika, Sankhya, Yoga, Mimansa and Vedanta are aastik Darshan because they believe in authenticity of Vedas. The nastiks ones like Buddhism, Jainism, Charcaka and Ajivika do not believe in Vedas being the ultimate truth and are hence called Nastik Darshan.
@@vashishth552 That is not what I said. I was just stating the categorization of Aastik and Naastik Darshan (philosophy) in the Indian philosophy. Indeed Buddhism has a very rich philosophy about Dukh and Nirvana despite not believing in Aatma or Brahm and also not believing in authority of Vedas.
Sucheta madam, koti pranam I'm not good at words,I know very little hindhi , no sanskrit, I'm from Chennai, you have created such great urge to learn sanskrit in me .but now I am 60 years old, so I dont know if I would be able to do it. But is there any other way of reading about all great matters, which you spoke about in english at least, can you suggest some books? Madam CAN I HAVE YOUR Email address please 🙏🙏🙏🙏
00:58 - Upanishads dont mention Ishwara - it's a later addition!!! -- sorry to correct - So are you saying there are stories of Prajapati, Prana, Indra, Virochana, Yama, etc, etc, in upanishads but since Ishwara is not mentioned, this is a later addition???? - Like it's said in Rig Veda, of what use is the whole vedas to the one who doesnt know that all the names of vedas denote that One Brahman - Studied vedas, et al, but if this is the knowledge you are trying to spread, I am sorry to say I am wasting my time with BORI
