      I ended up using a grinder to start the cut and a Carbide Sawzall blade to finish the cut.

    Buy Diablo cast iron sawzall blades for that old iron. To hell with using the grinder on that stuff, stopped doing it years ago.

      The Diablo blade is incredible at cutting cast iron, I was amazed how fast it went through the pipe.@@richyyaz

    Snapping old cast iron doesn't work, it cracks all over near the cut. Use a grinder for best results on old cast iron. Working in crawl spaces is some of the worst jobs ever.
