It provides a new campaign, new weapons, new exotic quests, and so much more! We also have a New Final Shape Raid, as well as New Subclasses! The Prismatic Titan, Prismatic Hunter, and Prismatic Warlock! Play these within the new Pale Heart Destination!
The new Destiny 2 Into the Light DLC is live! We have new Into the Light Weapons (Brave Arsenal Weapons) including the Mountaintop Grenade Launcher, the Recluse SMG, The Blast Furnace Pulse Rifle, and the Luna's Howl Hand Cannon! I’m pretty sure the 12 man PVE incident from Season of the Chosen was the inspiration for this mission… There were plans for a 12 man PVE activity in some of the oldest pastbin leaks I could think of (I think the wheels started turning as early as pre-Lightfall or even right after Witch Queen was announced). Bungie letting us run wild for 3 weeks in a row with that was probably them gathering as much data as possible from it for making big missions like this proper…. _This bit here was LONG worked on, and it’ll almost assuredly be a prelude for more 12 man shenanigans._

Also, I hate to admit that even now I’ve only ever beaten Atraks in the DSC because of the bug. It’s like the Death Zamboni from Rise, I can’t for the life of me beat it legit.

The Final Shape is for the top 1%, sweaty, salty, try hards without jobs however, it's cool to see something so challenging. Destiny has always been about becoming legend. Those 6 Raiders are now legendary.

For the record, I’m STILL running on the fumes of all the farming from the last time 12 man PVE was a thing (those 3 weeks in season of the chosen were WILD).

The plot reasons aside, the amount of whining from the community for RoN being easy meant that there was no way Bungie was going to make the next raid easy as well.
People wanted a "harder" raid, they got their wish.

We actually were about to quit at 10, but pushed forward and finish in 12 hours. Had 2 back to back almost perfect runs and completed it after. We decided to quit playing the raid just cuz we were too tired.
I gave up after 15 hours without sleep ( the raid started at 7 pm for my region)
My team finished in 9 then gave up 5 attempts into second encounter last night 😂
I really hope we go to the Cabal’s planet and free it from the Hive’s control.

I never get to do raids, so im extremely happy that bungie made the excesion mission. Made me feel like I was apart of taking the bbeg down. Hope bungie does something like this going forward in future raid releases.

This ending was awesome! There were three objects, three episodes? Not to mention that crow foreshadows the coming episodes as well.
Excision can be started in all the pale heart instances as well, like when hou are actually standing on the ground in the pale heart, you see a big pillar of light that you can interact with
Got that contest clear 2 hours before it ended, congrats on my team and everyone who attempted this raid it was one hell of a ride!

When I saw Broman air this 12 man event I swear at the time I thought it was the actual final encounter in the raid. Best scene ever too
I knew I made the right decision by not even bothering to attempt this raid in contest mode.

I think they’ll announce that D3 is already in the works, and will come out in late 2027.
Then they’ll announce plans for 9 episodes total to fill in the gap between now and then.
maybe bungie will release a MMO style version of destiny in the 3rd installment, where we are able to freely roam and take on huge boss fights with multiple players
We're definitely going to Nessus on Tuesday, if you check out one of the strikes there, it's deactivated due to 'high enemy presence'
The 12 man activity was so much fun. I saw three Nova Bombs eradicate a Tormentor.
After 10 years, bungie gave me something ill never forget.
After 6 hours we figured out how to do the first encounter 10 hours later we couldn’t finish the 3rd cycles of max resin 😭. I am washed, my team is washed. I Quit Destiny today at 5:00 am EST.

Don't delete this. Can't do raid without sniper mission. This is not a spoiler because they said. As much of a spoiler as finding ghosts on day 2 with text box for each strike saying "this activity is set before you defeated the witness"

Bungie really did good with this expansion: making the glitches legit in the game (the sword and 12 man activity). And even non-raiders get to be the Witness.
The supers were bugged for me on excision like no matter how many things I killed and whatnot my super bar was always at zero
Not a bug. Supers are disabled during certain portions of the witness fight. There were also certain times were your super fully charged during boss fight light when you have the travelers light buff
You have to have done the intro campaign and the following exotic quests to see all of the things after the raid. With my limited time to play, I am still on the exotic quests, so will be some time for me to be able to progress to that final mission.
I was playing this and holy hell. My console could barely handle it. The frame drops were WILD

The 12 man encounter was spoiled what 8 months ago or something? Was still awesome to see they actually did it.
Was a bit down that the campaign included a whole lot of nothing weight wise to the story, cayde being used to sell the game and zavala being forced into it. Raid was awesome, end cutscenes were great. Ill probably be gone before the episodes run thier course but its been a hell of a run guardians. Thanks for all the years of fun!
I did like the comment in the stream of “it’s not the adds, it’s been the same adds for 8 hours” after all the trouble in the Herald encounter (second one I think)

Whats fucked up is there is people spending 25+ hours in a raid to "Defeat" The Witness, all for a group of 12 people actually finishing him off in 5 mins. I Salute you Raiders, thanks for softening him up for me.
Exision was confusing i didnt realized it was the grand finale and would’ve prefer to complete the raid in normal mode before experiencing it

Rick kackis i love your videos this his the hardest i share your opinion on that because i was not having problems on the raid but the final encounter and prior to that is a pain.
I thought I might hear a “congratulations to the team that won” but surprise surprise….
The final cutscene isn’t repeatable. Many people have asked bungie if it’s supposed to be like this and they have yet to reply.
Don't forget, fellas to me it felt like the Witness hated everything about the Darkness and the Light, and wanted to reshape it to create what The Gardener, has done, I believe there's more to the story, i believe the Witness was that very problem that was the Winnower foreseen creating conflict, in the sketches of the first human who saw the Gardener warned them about the traveler making it's way, We had a glimpse of the Gardener but we only saw the Avatar of the Darkness a mere puppet that i believe that went haywire, we have yet to see the Darkness Truth Form
Make sure to state you have to complete the campaign because its not there for me and I have not competed the campaign

I have a small question, so assuming that i have completed the raid after that should i do the 12 man activity or the main story of the dlc for the proper story progression
you shouldve done the main story for the xpac before doing the raid. The 12-man also requires both the campaign completed and the exotic qu est Wild Card to have been completed.

It's out of my mind how people just can't think straight: bungie has a game that could be expanded ad libitum, yet dumb people speculates they are wasting botloads of money (money they don't have BTW) just to drop the same game with a +1... Just like we REALLY, REALLY, want to lose all our cosmetic items, hard earned titles and silver paid purchases THAT BAD...
It does change everything, for casual players still struggling with the campaign and in no way will ever get to do the raid, due to the time required.
The Final Shape will turn out to be a double edged sword for Bungie and the Destiny franchise in general.
It’s a guarantee that many players will leave the game and may not even be interested in a Destiny 3.

since i started playing destiny some years ago, i never had the feeling i had when using twilight arsenal on the boss and seeing a bunch of guardians just running and picking up my axes and going medieval on it like in the incision mission.
I felt like i was playing FFXIV again, and there is very few praises i can give a MMO that are better than that.
sasuga Bungie, that was a 10/10 mission, i hope we see more of that in the future.
We need a Destiny TV show like they did with Fallout.
Oh man, I am conflicted. I love Destiny, but one game can't be my life. Ofcourse I want to come back to this from time to time in the future, but I don't really want it to just keep going or to be succeeded by a Destiny 3. Can the end of a story just be the end?
