Something I noticed during the light orb function the first ord you shoot to get the buff moves to the first linked orb each and every time after the first one was used 3 times for example the first link would be left shoot it back and forth till the 4th one needs to be shot you wanna go to the first link all the time
For the first encounter, my team only had 1 runner for the orbs which was me. It took a big longer, but it was easier since we had an extra person for ads, psions, etc.

My team was doing a blind run and we got to the final boss and had no clue why the phases were so short. After a while I played your video as a joke and the part about stopping the blast saved my team and helped get us the day one clear.
@SlumpyMonkey it was late and I was the only one icarus skating. We were able to do it quick enough every 3 runs or so it was mainly about the consistency of it
We tried to beat the boss for like 4 hours but we wanted to do the whole raid without any streams or videos. Eventually we perfected our methods and pulled through with brute force 🤣 Today we watched a guide and came to realise it could have been easier, but the mechanic will never be needed.
Worth noting, for the Nezarec encounter and the first one, the nodes where you trigger either dark / light actually move up to the next activation in the chain in terms of location. Lets say the first node is A, second B, third C, fourth D. When you activate B, location will remain at A -> When you activate C, buff aura will move to B. The movement is not random. A* -> B A* -> B -> C A -> B* -> C -> D Something like that, seeing it in-game with this logic will be better than this little diagram.
Another thing to take note, you don't go further than the horizontal rows that are not yet lit up. If you are at the start, you go to either left or right first but the next one will always be the opposite one. It's a semi-linear path and with this, you can also predict where the buff pick-up point will be.
The location is actually two behind the current node that is able to be activated, So when you activate B (First activation), it stays at A (Starting point), When you activate C (Second activation) it also stays at A, Its not until you activate D (The third activation) that the buff will move to B. This only changes if the buff is grabbed and let expire, runner dies or runner uses it to obtain the refuge buff from the other side. The first activation also never changes on either side (Light or Dark), while the 2nd and 3rd sets of each side (The 2-3rd activation and 4-5th activation) can change to either one or the other in the set.
2 things you're wrong about at the start, the psions do not block the pointer coming out of the light balls, and the tormentor doesnt spawn until the psions are dead
Also one person can do the buff and connect the dots. I just did it with our LFG and I can by myself link the nodes before the first timer is done it's just how you want to do it.
I liked how the mechanics in encounters 1 and 2 seem to be made speccifically made to make the encounters go as fast as possible. It makes them really fun where you're physically racing against something in the room
Those bloody lifts in the second encounter, though. Caused my team so much pain when the lifts decided to send us six feet under. Fun encounter nonetheless. XD
@@6344ayu Ye. I never had any issues with it and was consistent. One or two of my mates had a wonky launch that sent them to the moon or to the abyss depending on how it felt, lol.
A tip for third encounter that my team found: damage planets always alternate, so the easiest way to figure which plate to start on is to see if there are either two light or dark planets. Whichever has two in mid, is going to be the first shield to break. Example: light(mid) dark(left) light(right) Light will be the start, so group up on mid, the proceed to left, then right side.
For the first encounter, we had all 6 people get the field of light at the first grouping. One person stayed at the base, 4 other people went to the other 4 plates. We were able to get all 5 done without killing any psions or tormentors just by alternating. After that, we did everything else this way. Definitely helped speed it up a bit. You can also hold the buff at the same time. The field of light just cannot be shot while trying to connect another location or it gets disrupted
I love your vids Rick, I utilize them all the time. One suggestion though, the moment you first mention a secret chest you should instantly show the unbroken path to the chest with no edit until you get there. Anyone who hasn’t run the raid yet will be confused by the quick edits and not have any idea what path to take because of their lack of reference
You don't even need 2 runners per side, we have done it with one guy on the dark nodes and one on the light nodes. Only problem is that as runners we had to sacrifice the heavy weapon and we had to use eager swords. Anyway, very helpful guide indeed Kackis!
for us eager edge was needed so runners didnt die from the launchers. whether it was having too much momentum and dying on the stairs or not having enough and flying short.
As our group hits the final boss for a day 1 clear. I am very appreciative for how quickly you put this content out. No doubt we are getting our Day-1 badge!
he got the last encounter wrong, you need a designated guy to take aggro from the boss by both shooting his shoulders and chest. one shoulder broken opens up the chest to take the buff and the other one will do the same, once youve shot both your wipe timer is extended.
@@tankmania6446 You're completely and entirely wrong. The shoulders have nothing to do with "opening" the chest. Breaking both shoulders shows you which buff you need to survive the wipe he does after running around for 30~ seconds. You do this by having the opposite runner shoot one of the orbs that have been completed on the side that Nezarec pulses with when you break his shoulders. You also cannot just create both buffs without shooting the shoulders because he will use a neutral damage wipe instead of a dark or light wipe. Shooting the chest is purely to keep his attention off of the buff runners.
Currently teaching people new to the raid. This video is gonna be a big help for them because I don't run this raid often. Since it's hard to explain how the mechanic is for the 2nd encounter since I never understood it myself.
I have been waiting for this guide ever since the winners were declared and I got a chance to see the raid weapons, armor, and exotics. Time to start learning.
I've been stuck at Nezarec since before this video went up. My fireteam and I were having trouble getting Nezarec to final stand in 3 cycles, then I heard your tip about fusions. Some of us swapped and out DPS went up MASSIVELY. It was thanks to this guide I we were able to finish in contest mode with 20 minutes to spare. Thanks for all you do.
Haven’t tried it yet but if Nezarec gets that close maybe Fourth Horseman is worth running, especially if you have a heavy DPS option like a linear or rocket.
You could literally kill this guy with a fart, I ran a calus mini tool, witherhoard and just fusions and I was able to get 1.8 mil, and that was on contest too.
Honestly, as far as contest mode is concerned, this is actually a very manageable raid. The enemies do hit hard sometimes, but overall the health for the bosses and just enemies in general was decently balanced. If you're trying to do a contest completion for the first time (like me) this is a great one to do it on. (Even got the exotic first completion too XD)
A little tip for people who die to much on the planet Boss: We switched planets diagonal, so everybody can rotate through the spawn section!!! The far sides are way to dangerous to rotate to each other because of many adds and bossstomp! Hope this helps :)
Awesome video as always!! The only part I wasn't sure was clear is in the first encounter, killing the psions does trigger the tormentor and anti barrier champ to appear. My group did not always kill the psions as if you know where the orbs spawn, you can complete the connections without a 2nd tormentor appearing
To people saying it's too short... raid quality isn't determined by its length. WotM is considered one of the best raids and was completed even quicker than this. This raid is a visual masterpiece, props to the art design team. Bungie should increase Nezarec's hp with a future patch. Mechanically should have been more complex but overall seems pretty fun and the gear/weapons look cool.
Yo thank god that you make things man cause there are people out here in the game that expect a lot of people who don’t even know what there doing yet I the raid even tho it’s only been out for 3 days one of your videos help me a lot on a different raid so I thank you for making these
First encounter, my team only had 1 runner (me). I didn't kill any adds, just ran around with aegers edge doing the puzzle as fast as possible. The other 5 kept me alive by add clearing and producing orbs. Second encounter, me and my friend were runners however we did it differently, instead of wasting time going back and forth every time, I would grab light, head straight to dark side, shoot the orb the grab dark and shoot dark sides, grab it again and go to light side to shoot the dark orb there too, and rinse and repeat for both sides on all 3 floors. Saved a lot of time and we had 30 - 40 seconds left each floor if we didn't mess up, this extra time gives you a bit of wiggle room for mistakes
For macrocosm when you put the planets in the middle for dps the boss will actually always start his shield of with whichever planet type there is 2 of in the middle
@wil hu it is true actually. If there is 2 light for example. The dps will always start with that colour. It's always the majority colour that indicates which plate is first, and through that your team coordinates which of those 2 plates you use because the 2nd dps will rotate to the opposite colour and the 3rd will rotate back to the former colour on the last plate
@@WorldlineZero24 the crystal starts the damage phase, once the 3 planets are aligned in the centre based on their colour, you shoot the crystal to initiate dps
Have a question. In first encounter, what’s the reason for having two players running orbs? Keep seeing a lot of teams have two running orbs. Does it save time somehow? When we did it, I did the orbs solo and didn’t have any issues. The other 5 took care of the ads, psion’s and tormentors.
great video man, unfortunately for me it won’t be useful until after contest mode. I didn’t get the clear and i can’t play tomorrow. But yeah cool vid thanks for helping me out
So the two people thing for the first encounter is a lie. You can totally just use one person doing the orbs and everyone else just do the add clearing and time extension.
and dont do the garden circle thing at the start. only the runner needs the buff. we left it alone and the runner was done before even the second psions spawnde
the issue is he only does the raid once and then rushes to get the guide out ASAP, so it leads to being more complicated or “old” tactics that he might already have changed in his second run. he really should do a second run before doing a guide but well
This was my first raid in d2 I quit playing one week or so after it came out. Came back after having an old destiny craving. I love this game so much now. I remember destiny 1 all the raids and all that. Now I’m getting back into it. Kinda tough remembering why I quit. I think I was disappointed with vanilla d2. So I just quit. Now after a week and 2 days. Completing banner, bounties, nightfall, public events, and raids. Shooooot I’m back into this franchise
1st encounter: 1 runner is enough. I did the whole ball stuff alone while the others cleared the area. It's easy and way more efficient than what you say. 2nd encounter: 2 buff runner enough. Each dark and light. Plenty of times you have and you can finish it so easily and comfortable. As for the last encounter, we made a very very insanely efficient way to do the buff connecting stuff saved us 20 or more second and completely skipping the safe spot creation. Explaining is complicated, but I try it. Basically you need 3 runner. 2 does the dark and light connection stuff, but the third is helping us.
Dang bro.. last time i heard your voice was 5 years ago juat came back to destiny 😢 miss your voice dude.. "Rick Khakis here " lol im glad your still making vids
If you are running short on time, you can use a glaive melee in the circles under the bubbles to trigger the bubbles, instead of shooting the bubbles directly.
Why is no one talking about the area underneath the first encounter? Before you climb the white roots there's a door behind the root on the wall and there's a puzzle
Well near the start there's 3 flowers with either dark or light balls in them And then you do the areas and connect the right one and you get a redborder chest at the end. If you do any of them wrong you can't change it There's already videos on it if you wanted to just look it up
Is Kackis the ONLY guide that has 2 people each side alternating orbs in the second encounter? I had this same exact idea but my team refuses to try it. So instead we keep running out of time. I backed out because 4.5hrs doing the same thing and failing every time got old. But seeing this and the other guides, not only was I right, but other teams are doing it with one runner each, so my team mates just suck
This really helps me alot im a solo player been finding it hard to play almost game modes raids etc. Even with the fireteam finder its still hard for me reason is i had sometimes to keep quiet or try my best not to look like i dont know anything which i am i havent played raids all i played was grasp of avarice havnt really played other dungeons and raids cuz of the fear of the host kicking me out the fireteam just bc i dont know anything which is really hard for me
We're looking for clanmates if you wanna join! Just add WhatevaMayne or enter Divergent Lights clan! We're also just figuring out Raids now so if you wanna join you're welcome to.
The is a guide for dummies alright 😂. There is a way easier way to explain this, and for the first 2 areas you don't want to spawn the tormentor. Wait for an actual guide, this video was made to be the first. Not to be the most accurate
Tip if you are struggling with ads in the first encounter try 5 on ads and one runner. However do the first set of plates with two so you don't have to spawn a tormentor in the first round. PS killing the Psion's spawns a tormentor and killing the tormentor extends your time.
So, I can actually just do add clears since I am terrible at mechanics in raids like I did in all D1 raids and the sunset Leviathan raid in D2? I might just jump in it.
on the second encounter you can leave the shield guys up an kill them all in the end of the floor when the mini boss spawns. it seems if one of the guys in hurt and if both teams don't have an even amount on each side that it blocks the link my team found it easier to keep them all up and only have 1 runner per side then at the end when the last node is there wipe all the adds with one team of 3 having the light buff and dark team having dark buff then repeat for the next 2 floors.
I knew Big Daddy Kackis would pull through for my lazy ass who wants to know what to do before I raid. Thanks for all your hard work in the Destiny community!
Wow amount of views is crazy. I used to live D2, haven’t played in a year or more but I’m still interested in the game. Anyone seeing this not play anymore?
Ya I just ran myself while the other 5 auto killed a tormentor and I told them if I needed more time or not at like 15 to 20 secs you dont need to kill the psions to know where to go next you just need to go back to get buff for the first encounter.
there is a red frame chest puzzle, the the order is shown near the begging of the raid you'll find 3 flowers that have a dark or light node, you read this left to right, exaple: light, dark, dark. there will be three rooms throughout the raid that will have 1dark nod and 1light node. you need activate the right node for each room. example: the order flowers go light, dark, dark, the 1st room you conect light, the 2nd room connect dark, and the third room connect dark. the first room is right after the order flowers in a room behind one of the plants. the second is in the jumping puzzle where you have to protect yourself from the darkness wave, it's in a floating room about 1/4 of the way through. the IDK where the last i think its between the 3rd and 4th boss though.
If you need help with planets, the only thing you need to remember is “ *LEFT, CENTER, RIGHT* “ 🔺 🔺 center 🔻 🔺 🔺 🔺 left right works on both sides of the room including the center area of the room. Now you know the call outs for planets.

It's always the majority colour that indicates which plate is first, and through that your team coordinates which of those 2 plates you use because the 2nd dps will rotate to the opposite colour and the 3rd will rotate back to the former colour on the last plate
@@horrorpleb249 do you know what the point of the crystal is above the middle of the room?

easily my fav raid yet when it comes to the visuals/art
Didn't Savathûn say the power to move worlds would soon be ours
youre insane w these bruh!! god bless you! been following you since d1
But yeah cool vid thanks for helping me out
Time to watch this video an ungodly amount of times😁
Love how the third encounter is the room from the Witness reveal cutscene
I won’t lie thunderlord on the third encounter goes pretty great, I was pushing about 792k just using thunderlord.
I was getting 1.2mil with just a taipan
Please stop using thunderlord. Just use a basic rocket or a linear and you’ll do 2x damage.
@@JohnGoodwin112 catalyst is goated actually
I can't believe you got this guide out so fast lol I think you might inside info :P
So the two people thing for the first encounter is a lie. You can totally just use one person doing the orbs and everyone else just do the add clearing and time extension.
Yep he likes complicating things
and dont do the garden circle thing at the start. only the runner needs the buff. we left it alone and the runner was done before even the second psions spawnde
the issue is he only does the raid once and then rushes to get the guide out ASAP, so it leads to being more complicated or “old” tactics that he might already have changed in his second run.
he really should do a second run before doing a guide but well
I’m running the raid tonight for the first time, I was about to ask why 1 person couldn’t just run orbs by themselves
@@RiotXImpact just use anothers guide this one is garbage and has a lot of things that are wrong
Thanks for the dungeon guide lol
1st encounter:
1 runner is enough. I did the whole ball stuff alone while the others cleared the area. It's easy and way more efficient than what you say.
2nd encounter:
2 buff runner enough.
2 does the dark and light connection stuff, but the third is helping us.
raid isn't even 24hrs and we already have a guide!! what a legend!!!
Thanks as always @kackisHD for the every informative guide. My clan and I appreciate it. Cheers!
We were stuck on the third encounter for hours and apparently we had the right idea as to what to do, we just kept dying lol
Dang bro.. last time i heard your voice was 5 years ago juat came back to destiny 😢 miss your voice dude.. "Rick Khakis here " lol im glad your still making vids
If it ain’t da kackis guide Ion want it
I loved the new raid!!!
finially man what took so look i was refreshing waiting for this video thanks
After 34 minutes of listening to these instructions I've now returned to fortnite
It’s prob red boarder
Well near the start there's 3 flowers with either dark or light balls in them
And then you do the areas and connect the right one and you get a redborder chest at the end. If you do any of them wrong you can't change it
There's already videos on it if you wanted to just look it up

Is Kackis the ONLY guide that has 2 people each side alternating orbs in the second encounter? I had this same exact idea but my team refuses to try it. So instead we keep running out of time. I backed out because 4.5hrs doing the same thing and failing every time got old. But seeing this and the other guides, not only was I right, but other teams are doing it with one runner each, so my team mates just suck
The man none of us deserve but all need lol
Best video of the year, LOVE the DUMMIES GUIDES helps a LOT!!
You dont need the buff to stun the Final boss with chest shots.
I don’t always watch a kackis guide but when I do, it’s because I wanna get it done
First encounter is faster if you have one person being the runner
We did the same
Yeah somehow he made it sound way more complicated than it needed to be.
Yea and we did one person for light and one for dark on the second encounter
Yeeeuuuup. Literally zero need for that much complication
@@joshuagutierrez592 yea he does that with every raid guide and never bothers to update them
for the first room you can just have 1 gun running and the rest clearing adds etc might help u guys if u are trying to do contest still
The most beautiful raid ever.
I can't wait to acrius this boss on sunday. We did rockets today but I think acrius will be decent.
The second encounter is miserable when the cannons don’t work right
In the first encounter I was the only runner and it worked just fine but cool to see alternatives
These raids are just too complicated anymore.
Yapper alert
This hurts my adhd brain.
Tip if you are struggling with ads in the first encounter try 5 on ads and one runner. However do the first set of plates with two so you don't have to spawn a tormentor in the first round. PS killing the Psion's spawns a tormentor and killing the tormentor extends your time.
Say what you want about Mr. kackis’s intro, but my gosh is he on point with these guides
So, I can actually just do add clears since I am terrible at mechanics in raids like I did in all D1 raids and the sunset Leviathan raid in D2? I might just jump in it.
Woah Kackis is working like crazy since the raid just came out today
on the second encounter you can leave the shield guys up an kill them all in the end of the floor when the mini boss spawns. it seems if one of the guys in hurt and if both teams don't have an even amount on each side that it blocks the link my team found it easier to keep them all up and only have 1 runner per side then at the end when the last node is there wipe all the adds with one team of 3 having the light buff and dark team having dark buff then repeat for the next 2 floors.
I knew Big Daddy Kackis would pull through for my lazy ass who wants to know what to do before I raid. Thanks for all your hard work in the Destiny community!
Those Raids getting more and more Stressful
Kackis was on the run for World's first guide. It's a different level 🙃
I feel like doing flawless with just be straight rng with how the cannons just throw you into a new universe
I might stand a chance to do this raid. Will be on add clearing lol. No way I can handle these orb stuff lol
Whatd u guys use for tormentor?
You are a life savor, never clicked on a notification faster in my life
You got details on what we have to do for the encounter challenges?
It would be cool if for a exotic we could get nezeracs weapon kinda like how we got rhulks glaive
What causes the orbs of pleasure to be disrupted though?
Can you make another video explaining this video that’s explaining the raid ?
Thanks 😂
Helpful and hoping in the future more concise
The orbs at the first encounter can be done by one person also
there is a red frame chest puzzle, the the order is shown near the begging of the raid you'll find 3 flowers that have a dark or light node, you read this left to right, exaple: light, dark, dark. there will be three rooms throughout the raid that will have 1dark nod and 1light node. you need activate the right node for each room. example: the order flowers go light, dark, dark, the 1st room you conect light, the 2nd room connect dark, and the third room connect dark. the first room is right after the order flowers in a room behind one of the plants. the second is in the jumping puzzle where you have to protect yourself from the darkness wave, it's in a floating room about 1/4 of the way through. the IDK where the last i think its between the 3rd and 4th boss though.
If you need help with planets, the only thing you need to remember is
“ *LEFT, CENTER, RIGHT* “
🔺 🔺 center
🔻 🔺
🔺 🔺 left right
works on both sides of the room including the center area of the room. Now you know the call outs for planets.
Thanks for the guide managed to complete it this was very helpful
