So keep making awesome videos which are not only fun but also educational. Thumbs up!!!

Hello Kyde and Eric! I have been watching all your Japan videos since yesterday. Now I'm watching your Myanmar video. This made me miss being in Japan and Myanmar! Please continue being awesome!
Stat Center Iloilo Awesome! Glad you are enjoying them! -Eric
Stat Center Iloilo Great to hear! We'll keep it up! -Kyde
Hey Eric,
Hopefully the Top Gear Myanmar Special cleared the confusion about the direction of moving traffic and driving side!
The reason both Myanmar and Bangladesh (neighbouring country and where I was born) don't uses metal coins for low denomination values is that metal is more precious and valuable commodity.
Steel used in constructions and heavy industry, Aluminium used in pot and pans and cooking utensils, Copper for wiring, Tin for corrugated tin roofs and at last silver and gold used as valuable jewellery.
Can't waste metal in a developing country by using it as low value currency!
The part about mixing cement, we use the same method to mix cement in my country too for small housing and building projects thanks to cheap labour force. But commercial high rises are built using modern construction technics (still not at the same level as first world countries).
And the blue building in 1000 Kyats note is probably the picture of the Head office of Central Bank of Myanmar.
And as always thanks for the awesome video!
P.S.- Hopefully one day you will tell us the story of George and his mysterious wallet!
Very interesting!! The snack you tried is made with quill's egg and the fruit which tastes like apple is just like a hybrid kind of plum and apple. :) both of them are my favourites. I miss my country a lot after watching this. Thanks for sharing your travel experience.
Thanks for watching, we love you country! -Eric
Loved the vaj pastery and bucket building!!!!!!!!!!
+motherofaheartwarrior Hahaha, vaj pastery. -Eric
It reminds me of home n my childhood...
enjoyed the evening time part. thanks for the share.
Finaly.. hahah great work guys. You two should have your own travel show. You should pitch to the travel Chanel or something (low budget traveling)
It might be fun....but it might also take away our ability to produce things how we want them to be. Hrm. -Eric
You uploaded right when i have to be in school :c
This is so cool I'm so glad you guys vlogged your trip!! Im burmese myself but I was born and raised in London. I went to Burma for the first time last summer and I actually went to the exact same bathroom Kyde used at the first pagoda, I almost puked too! It was the worse bathroom experience EVER haha. Not many people know anything about Burma at all so it's pretty cool that you guys are sharing your trip!
Natalia Hahaha, that bathroom! Funny you had the same experience! Thanks for watching! -Eric

Amazing!!!!!
Best video yet. I screamed with you guys when you were on the Ferris wheel. Kyde, you're a lot braver than I am going into that bathroom barefoot. No way no how!
I can't wait for more!!!!
Haha, what was more crazy? The bathroom or the ferris wheel? -Eric
The bathroom by far. I'm a bit of a germophobe.
Awesome. It's finally here.
We're doing great now! Thanks! -Eric
i like it when you give both farenheit and celcius when mentioning the temperature :)
awesome video!
We are scientists! -Eric
We try our best to be able to give both! -Kyde
Great to hear you two are well .)
when i look at the trip from ur point of view, it is quite scary.... and u guys are lucky not to get sick. most of my foreigner friends get sick for one or two days without even touching the foods from the side of the roads....and i am really happy to see this video as i lived around there and u guys talked about everything that i usually experience everyday. i don't know when the government started allowing foreigners to cross the river in boats. I lived on the other side of the river. btw, thank u for the video and now, i will go to the second part.
We have traveled quite a bit and I wouldn't say that Myanmar is scary at all. We loved it. We did end up getting sick, but not from street food! We will have the second part up soon hopefully! -Eric
Yay, Myanmar! How is it they cover that ferris wheel with electric lights but not have a motor for it?
I pondered the same question. -Eric
Awesome
at first I tought. Nah this is nothing for me because it isn;t Japan.
Then I started watching and I wasn't bored at all.
It was verry well filmed. Good quality nice explanation.
One thing that realy pops into my mind is that you two can realy capture feelings.
The feeling of the city, the people in it and everything.
Makes me wants to see part II.
Keep it up. ^_^
We're happy to hear that you liked the video even though it's not Japan content! We won't live in Japan forever and we hope people still enjoy our videos when they aren't based here. Thanks for the super kind message! -Eric
YES!!!! THANK YOU!!! Love you Kyde n Eric.
So on page with Eric. We seem to make the same jokes at the same time. Love the Video guys, Thank you for your hard work on producing these videos.
Heading to Myanmar tomorrow for two weeks. Enjoyed the video and got us more excited - except my wife is having second thoughts with the bathroom conditions!
Nice! Have fun. -Eric
Just pretend it's not happening and then laugh about how absurd it was when it's over! That's how I do it! -Kyde
旅行に行った気分になれておもしろかったです!
Love your vids, could you do some more living in japan series
We will keep making videos about Japan while we are here, but to compile the footage needed to make those "Living in Japan" videos took us an entire year in which we weren't uploading anything. haha, I think if we didn't upload anything for a year people would get upset! -Eric
love how on Christmas day, when you're showing the money at 19:48 , Christmas music is playing the background in Myanmar, of all places!
91TheBeardedOne Oh, good catch! I didn't notice that! -Eric
great....
I'm pretty sure its Summer in December throughout to January. It averages 31 degrees each day with only one day in December being rainy. June to September is the rainy season in Myanmar.
Wow just from Part 1 it looked like an amazing trip. That Ferris wheel looked terrifying but so awesome at the same time. The pagoda's looked so beautiful too. Is it the type of place you would visit multiple times if you had the opportunity? Aside from Eric getting sick of course.
Yea, I would return. Myanmar is a huge country and we only barely scratched the surface. Hopefully as time passes the political situation restricting travel to the border regions will become stable, the people in those regions will be living in better conditions and outsiders will be allowed to visit them. I'd love to explore more! -Eric
I will probably have a nightmare about that ferris wheel.
You two are fearless!
From afar I thought the guys who were crawling, spinning the ferris wheel were barefoot. They were wearing flip flops-oh my gosh!
Been looking forward to the videos of your trip. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome, how much was the airfare?
Prakash Parasuram I don't remember, but it was higher than expected! -Kyde
Great footage! Really interesting video and I've been on a tear watching your videos tonight. lol.. very interesting stuff. Question, are you guys ever moving back to the States or Japan for ever? lol..
We won't be living in Japan forever, but who knows! We don't plan on coming back to the States. We are gonna end up somewhere in between! -Kyde
thnks for sharing
Khandakar Mohammed Jahid You are welcome! -Eric
What was it that eric was sick with? Why i was wondering is due to the food, when i went further then mexico we couldnt eat anything off of food stands, before rinsing in bleach water
I ended up ill from food, but not from a food stand. We have pretty good luck with roadside food stalls, actually. -Eric
awesome series guys! are you using a gopro?
Nope, this was shot with a DSC-HX20V and a Panasonic DMC-TS5. -Eric
Did you guys have trouble changing US bills to there local currency because the us bills where not perfect?
thanks for visited our county
Thanks for having a great country! -Eric
Welcome
Hi guys... curious about the price of the plane tickets? from Japan to Myanmar...
You know, I don't exactly remember....but it was more than I expected. I think it was like $700 each round trip, but don't quote me. We flew ANA which added to the price a bit, but it was a MUCH better flight in terms of layovers and so forth than the cheap one we found that included like a 25 hour layover in China. -Eric
The small round fries you ate is called couple snack. The egg inside is quill egg.
I was watching this with my father and he couldn't take his eyes of the screen
The image at the back of 1000Kyats note is Central Bank Building just behind sedona hotel in Yangon.
I'm an aussie and me and my mate wanna go to burma....how hard was it to get ur visa
It's different for every country you are from and depends on where you apply. For us it wasn't too hard, but we are Americans living in Japan so maybe your experience will be different. I did have to make two trips to the embassy because their website didn't accurately show all the paperwork we needed, they wanted proof of employment and stuff. Might want to call the embassy and ask before you go there if it's a long way from your home. -Eric
