Eric always have the biggest enchanting smile and Kyde have the most infectious smile. I can't help but have the biggest grin on my face whenever I watch your videos.
Awesome, being there with us is exactly the feel we hope to portray! Thanks! -Eric

For 55 mins i sat here.! entertained !...I was just looking for scooter videos (my new passion) & you guys came up. I'm hooked! Please do show a bit more about your motorbikes....for us scooter junkies. Ride safe, be safe and thinkin' you must have tough gullets!
Thanks! We don't really focus on the bikes too much, but if you check out our Taiwan trip and our trip across Flores in Indonesia it'll show more time spent exploring on the bikes in different places. -Eric

Best and most honest video journal about Burma I've ever seen, thanks a million for sharing, guys.
From Taunggyi.
Thanks a lot! -Eric
You may have found out already that the green sweet thing that you had on the road side, is made from the White Pumpkin (Benincasacerifera Savi). It also made great soup and locals believed to be medicinal to the urinary tract problems.
Yea, someone pointed that out. Whatever it was, I want more! -Eric
Cool trip

Unbelieveble how nice and helpfull the people are.
Where I live people can be nice and helpfull but its was more so when I was a kid.
Then western people stick out in asian countrys and I think I would be helpfull to people whom I know for sure are foreign, having a vacation here.
I realy liked the quiet at top of the hill. Most be a great place to have a picknick.
Always love your videos!
Yay! -Eric
Can't wait for Part 4 in Myanmar!! I am travelling there in September and your food tours have been such a bonus.. thankyou and look forward to viewing part 4.. or did I already say that..

Wish you couples healthy and happy in the new year's trips, and enjoy every day!
Wei Jiang Thanks! Wishing you a great 2015 as well! -Kyde
that made the video gold shop
Only in a foreign country. I swear the rest of the world needs to learn to be this nice to strangers
If everyone in the world was as kind as the people in Myanmar life would be very different, that's for sure. -Eric
That's so cool that the 2nd person actually stopped AND brought back some gas for you guys. What a bro country.
Also, I can confirm that the twist method is definitely the best method for eating an avocado. Twist, whack the big seed with a knife and then twist it out too. :9
Thank you for visited in our country ..when I watch your video I really really Miss my hometown because now I am in away ......Did you enjoy in Myanmar..?.
We loved it there! -Eric
if you love come again welcome ..
Your videos are Amazing.
Thanks! -Eric
Such nice people in Burma!
We have KVASS in Russia and it's a traditional Russian sour drink, refreshing in summer usually made of fermented flour and malt (wheat, oats) or rye bread or even beetroot. Sometimes they also add some fragrant herbs, honey or wax into it.
woooo!!
You are both very sweet people.
volapuk49 Thank you! -Eric
It's all about the avocado twist!
Yay!
Green crunchy sweet thing: It's dried pumpkin.
The thing you think pork skin, it's actually deep fry dried tofu.
you guys ROCK !!! : )
christiano lionel Thanks!
Betel nut is the seed from the Areca Palm. The juice turns red when made alkaline with the addition of some slaked lime powder. They add other flavourants to the betel nut packet because the native taste is very bitter.
Yangon was my favorite along with Inle Lake. Jeezube like jezabell. Je-zu-bay is thank you. And Mat-la-ba is good afternoon/good evening. Only words I remember.
machngunjoe Yea, I agree! Yangon and Inle Lake were amazing! -Eric
Kyde and Eric Shwedagon Pagoda, that was an amazing place.
This is such a heartwarming video. I love it!
Yea, Myanmar was full of such wonderful people! -E
Last dish with the fermented tea leaves is called La phet tote. You should eat it with rice and its so fucking good like YUM
HToo Htoo is the best burmese restaurant in Mandalay...;)
the green candy sweet was a melon. dried Rock Melon. :)
I really enjoy watching your video. I wish I was there n help u with foods..
Wow Great Helpful People. If you have another chance, would you go back and visit??? Thanks!!!
Yea, I think we would if the chance came up! I hope as time goes on the country becomes more stabilized and it is safer to travel in more of it. -Eric
Just wanna say I'm thankful for your hard work and this video.....very envious you two surviving from almost w/o hot water shower :) in the 5-star hotel. I always think people in a 3rd world country has some kind of hardest living. But it appears you had been treated well. My Sunday is getting off a great start after watching your show.
Haha, this is not the first time we've had a lack of hot water for showers. Sometimes there's just a bucket to bath with. Sometimes the bathrooms are too gross to take your clothes off in. Traveling is fun! -Eric
This best attitude, dude, will take you everywhere. Looks like Kyde is pretty durable too. You both could rough'ng out a nuclear war as revealed in all your shows, LOL. Thank you again.
Perfect timing! Literally just finished making Lunch :D
Awesome!!!!
Did you guys also go to Bagan?
There are lots of burmese buffet shops.
We did go to Bagan. It'll prob be in part 5. -Eric
i say f*%$ing awsome... you are just nice.. i love you kyde..
love6ism
I've been a vegetarian for about 2 and a half years now and I do eat eggs, milk, cheese etc. We just don't eat anything where you had to cut into the animal to get it. (Or fish. Only pescatarians eat fish) Thank you guys for trying this for a day!
Fermented tea leaves is what black tea is.
Awesome video, can't wait for part 4. Such a wonderful country.
OMG,such a sick couple!
Sick as in ill? -Eric
Hello, I love your videos. I have to say that the strange prickly seed thing that Eric picked from that plant at 37:30 is more than likely a castor pod. I noticed he opened it and bit into it. It is considered the most deadly plant in the world and has ricin in it. I noticed it immediately cause we had some in our yard when I was a kid. I did a search on castor plant and Mandalay and there are castor oil plantations there.
Haha, yea, thast's what it was. It's all good, I lived! -Eric
People in Myanmar are awesome.
A small tip: swiss knives are good, you should totally have one with you.
Ksensei41 Just worry about traveling on planes. I would totally forget it was in my bag and then there would be an international incident! -Kyde
I was quite surprised with the kindness of random people. It definitely changed my mental image of myanmar. Although, every time Eric drinks something, I always wonder if that's the thing that's going to put him KO :p
HAhaha, yea, lots of people are apparently playing the "is that going to kill him?" game. People in Myanmar are unbelievably kind, it's amazing! -Eric
Staying in Springbok on the Namibian border with the RSA we stayed at an excellent (actually, the only) hotel and it had a bath. With a 3-inch plug. And a very slow hot water feed. My wife waited for it to fill for 20 minutes, got in and snagged the chain with her foot. In less than 5 seconds,. No water was left. Not a happy woman :) Excellent restaurant food and service though.
Hahaha, mega bummer. -E
Are you guys going back to Japan? This video was great!
Nice vid folks - lot of good info......tnx
E I'm with you I'm a big fan of Banana and honey peanut butter bread try it with chocolate chip cookie in the middle drenched in the honey lol
Sounds exquisite!
6:50 At the restaurant the workers are having a funny argument
Oh yea, about what? -Eric
The green thing is dried crystallised melon/pumpkin. At 31.00
So good! -Eric
26:00 Kyde, the egg has been fertilized. It just needs the chicken to sit on it so it can stay warm to grow. The embryo is the yellow part. The clear fluid around the embryo is protein nourishment to help it grow.
Hrm, I don't think that's accurate. Most eggs we eat in developed countries come from huge farms of chickens that have no access to a rooster in order to fertilize their eggs. -Eric
Yea Eric your right. Not all eggs are fertilized. I saw a film back when I was in middle school that said all eggs are fertilized but apparently that film was wrong. Argh! So much false info back in the day.
mahadragon Haha, yea, it's absurd to think we lived without instant access to all of the world's mysteries. I still have moments where I question things I learned as a kid... -Eric
Kyde and Eric Fun fact I heard about this from an interview with a swedish.. egg farmer? He said they actually need 1 rooster to keep the order among the chickens.
Eric, which meal do you think made you ill or was it the water? All the food that you have shown so far look very good and well cooked.
It's a secret for now! -Eric
You guys make me want to visit to Myanmar! Great video as always!
Awesome! You should go! -Eric
Singaporean drink! Oh and the kvass thing, it says in chinese that it contains 10% wheat juice, or something.
Thanks for the great trip, can't wait for more!
I love your videos. Makes me wanna travel as well. I'm a burmese abroad and your videos make me homesick. Please make more videos on burma :)))))
Thanks! Unfortunatly we won't be making any more videos on Burma anytime soon, these 7 videos are all we shot! -Eric
I love this! Thanks for existing!
Hahahaha. No problem! I hope to keep existing. -Eric
I love how friendly everyone is there. I also love how you guys roll with the punches. I will definitely think about you guys on my next adventure. We seem to get a little uptight in a pinch and it is quite refreshing to see you guys enjoying life even when there are problems that come up. Thanks for sharing these moments with everyone!
We have our limits too. Sometimes we get grumpy, but it happens less and less as time goes on and we realize that no matter what everything always works out. Every time. -Eric
Shan noodle soup, love it!
Kyde and Eric, that little green thing you guys thought it's kiwi is actually pumpkin. They process pumpkin into that. It's kind of act as a dessert. Source- I'm a Burmese :D
It's so good! -Eric
your great job guy!
The people is Maynmar seems to be just awesome and helpful, very good advertising for the country. For people that travel like you and run around the land that is such a good thing. - Do people under 30 speak English at all, do they learn it at school nowadays?
Yea, the people there were amazing. I'm not sure what their level of English education is these days in Myanmar, but from passive observation I'd say the older people knew more English than the young people, but it could be an illusion attributed to other social circumstances. -Eric
schchen2000
Wow, that is amazing, translating something in real time for a speech. -Eric
Thanks for going to my country :D
amy paw Thanks for having a wonderful country! -Eric
It is "winter melon" that the one you ate.
you had the mutton plate clean haha i cant wait to try it :)
I understand not liking ripe Papaya, however when I was in the Philippines and hanging out at bars, I tried the Papaya that the bar girls were eating. They laughed at me for liking it and I understood why when they told me it was not yet ripe Papaya and it was served with a little bowl of Sea Salt which you dipped it in. What made them laugh was that this treat was especially served to the pregnant gals, usually as on of their cravings caused by the pregnancy. I loved the stuff with San Miguel beer and they had a great laugh at my pregnancy cravings!
Hahahaha
the green thing was dry pumpkin
First :) Too Too restuarant is expensive because of a lot of tourists like to go there. There are other restaurant which are cheaper in Mandalay.
Yea, it's mentioned in Lonely Planet which is why tourists go there often. We were happy with the food though! -Eric
the green snack Eric eat at 31:20, I think it's pumpkin
Awng Nu Yea, and super delicious! -Eric
Another great video guys, if you are interested to know i learnt in dietary classes while become a chef that there is actually a few different types of vegetarians and to describe them briefly there is a pescatarian who will eat fish, a Lacto-vegetarian who does not eat eggs, but does eat dairy products a ovo-vegetarian who will eat eggs, jain vegetarianism which i found to be extremely interesting as they will eat dairy but wont eat eggs and honey, as well as root vegetables. Also on the topic of eggs a hen will lay 1 egg daily as long as you feed it, they only turn into chickens if theirs a rooster around to fertilize the egg so kyde is correct as you aren't hurting an animal, like milk where its better on the cows to be milked than unmilked where they will form mastitis. hope you enjoyed my rant :3
BUrmais is naturally a nic nation ,but there is a big ad change. I was born in Burma.
Kyde at 24:41 says she's enjoying all the wood on that distant rooftop..."that's what he said." (Sorry Kyde...it had to be done.)
Hey! On Kyde's drink at 10:00, the Chinese characters on the red bit at the top (哇哈哈) is literally "Wa Ha Ha." 哇 is like "Wow!" and 哈哈 is just the sound of laughing.
Wahaha, awesome. Thanks! -Eric
Yay! Just in time, was looking for something to watch whilst I work!
